The best meal on our Santa Fe trip.
Wonderful selections of wine. Also, a wine store.
Much of the food came from their garden.
Great food/ atmosphere and wonderful service. Best neighborhood restaurant in Santa Fe and just happens to have extraordinary food and the most impressive wine list.
Outstanding dining experience and the Som was fantastic, she picked us an amazing Spanish wine that we just loved!!
Arroyo Vino is a great restaurant for a special occasion, a special treat, or just a good place for lunch or dinner. The food is fresh and local when possible, to the point where the restaurant maintains its own garden for salad greens, herbs, etc. It's location away from the downtown area is serene and provides plenty of parking. I could not recommend Arroyo Vino more.
Obviously there has been a change in the kitchen with what appeared to us a new chef by the food. We started off with a warm asparagus salad with morel mushrooms 7 an order of shishito peppers. Both very good. Then came my tuna main corse with again a salad. The chef should have seen that the first course was a salad and changed the side with my dish so as not to have two salads, albeit a bit different. The soft shelled crab was enormous and wonderful however the pasta seemed to have been pre-cooked & reheated because it was light years from being al dente. Way over cooked which is unacceptable in a good restaurant. Another reason perhaps a new chef in the kitchen???
New menu and chef. Great food. Wine list that will suit anyones' taste. Ambiance beautiful; view stunning.
Very enjoyable evening with that started with a special bottle of champagne; progressed to great food options all supported with outstanding service. We particularly liked the Tuna entree.
The new chef is terrific. I had a Moroccan chicken dish that was amazing. Our server was both very competent and fun at the same time. All in all, a very good experience.
The location is unusual but beautiful, since it’s Santa Fe - it’s out in a bedroom community amongst high end homes. The space is reminiscent of a country wine store on one end and the dining area is a luxury farm house room with some nice artwork. It’s intimate and not at all fussy. The wait staff was friendly and helpful.
We started with the Charcuterie plate, which was excellent with my Hendricks martini. Aside from the usual cured meats, it came with a very rich duck confit-type of pate that was delicious with small slices of their bread that the server offered in addition to the crostini.
I ordered the Beef Short Rib and it came in a deep bowl with whipped potatoes, baby multicolored carrots, and a broth that was extremely flavorful without being overbearing. It was tender and delicious and filling, even though it looked smallish in the large bowl.
Always special. Love the new chef.
First time here. Great food, service, and atmosphere!
Exceptional overall dining experience, including awesome menu, meals, bar/wines, excellent attentive service. A standout in a standout town!
loved everything about it - the staff, food, atmosphere, all wonderful!
Arroyo Vino was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Flavors fused together wonderfully. Best cheese board we have had. Service was excellent. We will be back!
An excellent meal from the cheese plate starter through an incredible risotto to amazing entrees. Glad this restaurant is in my neighborhood!
A great place to stop for a cocktail or glass of wine.
Easy to understand why this restaurant is considered one of Santa Fe’s best.
I was a bit disappointed in Arroyo Vino. I had heard so many good things about it. However, we found out after we were seated that the chef had recently left and the new one had not yet started. I suspect this had a lot to do with the food. Our opinion was that the food just had too much going on. The flavors were not necessarily balanced. And there was very little nuance to allow the ingredients to shine. The overall effect was a very heavy meal when we actually ordered light.
On the positive side, cocktails and wine list are excellent. Service was also very good. Lovely views and friendly/knowledgeable sommelier. Hopefully, once the new chef has gotten her bearings, things will pick up on the food side and it will be a place we will want to return.
Another great dinner at the best restaurant in Santa Fe.
Unfortunately after a promising start, Arroyo Vino has descended into the realm of fussy, pretentious cooking focused on ostentatious presentations that cannot disguise unimaginative flavor and texture combinations. Adding to disappointment with mediocre offerings from the kitchen, the front-end staff is led by a smug Maitre d’hotel with very sketchy knowledge of wines and foods. Poor value, in short, with many wonderful alternatives for good dining in the Santa Fe area.
A bit of a drive from Santa Fe but well worth it. The service was impeccable, the food inspired and all delivered in a nice quiet, modern, low key setting. The cheese plate was a great selection, the tuna appetizer special outstanding, the short rib excellent but the bananas foster bread pudding was to die for! We would go back in a heartbeat! Well done!
Great evening with awesome food and wine. And the cocktails...maybe the best place for craft cocktails in Santa Fe!
another great meal and service during restaurant week.
Fancy upscale dining a little out of town. Great wine and food!
Hadn't been to Arroyo Vino in a couple months so we booked a table for four during Santa Fe Restaurant week. The menu was a fixed price for three courses with three choices per course. The Brussel sprouts were fabulous as a starter. They were tender and somewhat charred but excellent. I had the oyster chowder as a first and the lamb tenderloin as my second. Both were outstanding. My wife's risotto as a second was very good and the lobster as a second was also top shelf. I hope management will add the brussel sprouts as well as the lamb to their every day menu.
Great meal for Santa Fe Restaurant Week. Great food and great service. We loved the shared cheese and charcuterie plates that the four of us shared to start with. A very pleasant evening and worth the price!
The appetizers and firsts were excellent, but the sole meunière and the duck entrees were inedible. The sole tasted like it had been marinated in liquid smoke and the duck tasted off. We ordered a bottle of wine, and sent it back after the server poured a taste because it was not at all what the sommelier had described. The server turned on her heels and walked away when we declined the bottle and sent someone else over to deal with us. As it turns out, the server had uncorked the wrong bottle of wine! When the sommelier poured the correct wine, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall rather disappointing , between the brusque service and the truly awful entrees.
Arroyo Vino continues to excel. Fresh local ingredients, many interesting and good menu choices, outstanding wine list, attentive but not intrusive service. Has full bar service. I have never felt rushed. Not your ordinary restaurant. Truly exceptional pastas, and all their items are about the quality of the food, coupled with presentation. Highly recommended.
Another deeply satisfying meal at Arroyo Vino. The food and wine were top-notch, beautifully presented. Wish I could afford to eat here more often!!
My husband and I enjoyed an elegant dinner at Arroyo Vino and very much appreciated our waiter, Tomas. He was professional, attentive, but not overbearing. We wish more waiters in Santa Fe were half as good. We will definitely be going back.
limited selection on entrees but quality was very good. service very attentive.
Food was very good. Our waiter was excellent and when we asked for a wine suggestion he had the manager of the wine store stop by who gave an excellent suggestion. Their policy is the store price plus $30.00 instead of the normal 100% markup in most restaurants. We enjoyed the
experience and will go back in the future.
Fantastic! Service was above and beyond and food was amazing!
As usual the food, service and the ambiance
we’re all first rate
Amazing experience! We tried the Chef's tasting menu and every single dish was delicious. Fresh ingredients, creative combinations and aesthetically beautiful presentations. All complimented perfectly with a delicious Sauvignon Blanc. Possibly the best meal we have ever had, and a fantastic way to end our trip to Santa Fe. Would go back!
Amazing food! I'm vegan and the chef made special dishes to accommodate my diet. Much appreciated. The service was top notch.
This is one of my favorite restaurants period. The food is always top notch...that coupled with outstanding wine choices and waitstaff makes for a memorable evening. Great job AV!!
Wow! We spent a week in Santa Fe, and ate very, very well, but this was a real stand-out! A lovely setting about 5 miles outside of town on a lovely hilltop. Everything, from the warm welcome to the friendly yet professional service to the magnificent menu was first rate. Our lovely waitress even took the time to provide tips for us on our visit to the next day to Bandelier and Los Alamos, and all 6 of us agreed it was the absolute standout among all the highly-rated spots we visited in Santa Fe. It'll be at the top of our list next visit - absolutely!
Great food and wine. Drinks were top-notch. Service by Jonathan was terrific.
And Julian was the best! Besides making those great drinks, he helped us out and we really appreciated his assistance...
Christmas Eve dinner.
The appetizer was great, the sole was boring and tasteless the dessert was horrible.
I have had better meals there.
