Armani’s signature antipasto bar allows guests to create their own first course from a selection of more than 30 items and a dedicated station offers fresh made-to-order Caesar salads. The “primi piatti” menu includes vegetarian, pasta and soup selections, while main courses range from veal scaloppini with a porcini-truffle reduction to bison ribeye over Italian gratin.
While we pride ourselves on being the top special occasion restaurant in Tampa, we do not guarantee a specific table type or view, we will seat best available table upon arrival to Armani's.
My wife and I found the menu fairly limited with such a push toward veal. 80% of the menu was a veal dish...probably great if you’re a veal fan.
The sauce with her Frutti De Mare was pretty bland...along with clams that were roughly the size of a quarter and mussels that were not much better.
The anti-pasto appetizer was fantastic and would recommend that to anyone.
I was expecting an amazing birthday dinner with my family as I have always had at Armanis in the past. The octupus appetizer was subpar and almost burnt, the oyster stew was so salty I could not eat it. I was very disappointed as I have been here over the years for special occasions and the food and service were spectacular. I will not be going back.
Armani's was excellent (as usual)!!! Our waiter Khalid and his assistant provided attentive service, and every entree was outstanding. We started with a platter of various cured meats, cheeses and marinated items from the antipasti bar that was terrific. Oh, and the bread and olive tapenade is to die for. Add in breathtaking views and this is easily our favorite restaurant in Tampa Bay.
I have been here many times and always get the antipasto bar though I was disappointed this time with many of the flavors. My steak had significant fat and gristle running through it which was surprising and I had to eat around it. My husband's risotto was excellent. As always the atmosphere was wonderful.
Great view of the water and sunset off the rooftop deck and lounge. Northern italian with enough variety in the menu for anyone. The antipasto bar is their signature, and it can be overwhelming.
Service is very good, and the overall experience is on par with what you would expect from a high end restaurant
Service was impeccable, the food was spot on, and the view is the best in Tampa Bay for watching the sunset!
Always visit here when we are in Tampa. Always hit their mark. One draw back this visit was being seated next to the door that leads to their outside deck. It offers a fantastic view of the city and sunsets this being popular which make this table like being seated next to the kitchen door.
Will go back but will avoid these tables.
Amazing food and experience!
Always a pleasurable experience. Food was great..Service wasn't as prompt as I would have liked with a reservation. Staff is normally more welcoming and knowledgable with pairings. Odd bit They were very relaxed on the dresscode this evening (man flip flops, athletic shirts, etc).
Absolutely, a great evening. The staff were helpful and professional. The piano player was fantastic and do personable. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Cannot wait go back
It was my husband’s birthday. Our waiter was just horrible. It took him 15 minutes just to take our drink order to start. Everything was terribly slow. We had to wait a full hour for our entrees after being served our soup because the waiter “forgot” to put in our entree order for the kitchen. The manager of Armani’s came over to our table because he had seen how long we were waiting. We let him know what an awful experience we were having for dinner. In fact, it was so bad that we will never go to Armani’s again. The manager comp’d our dinners, but after spending $200 for our bottle of wine, it just is not worth ever going to such a poorly run place again. When you pay top dollar, you expect top notch service. My husband and I could not believe the people that this restaurant hired to wait on tables. The worst fine dining experience we have ever had.
Our food and service was excellent!! Made me get out of my comfort zone and order some unique items.
Always a pleasure to take guests to Armani's. Never disappointed. Love the pianist!
Generally Armani's is outstanding. However, this time the food was a bit disappointing, because the langostino in my dish had not been de-veined. But, the wine was great.
Verly elegant location, romantic but also business like if needed. Great bar and service. Went there for a birthday and they treated my wife like royalty. Gorgeous place for a sunset drink on the outside balcony. Devent prices, delicious food. Would go back with pleasure
We went to Armani's to celebrate two birthdays. Everything was perfect but as the evening progressed our waiter's attitude changed. I would highly recommend dinner at Armani's, the food and ambiance are outstanding. If you are a regular, you will be treated much better than the occasional patron.
Our sons birthday
We had a great server. She knew her wine and she made fabulous menu suggestions.
It might be rated 4-diamond AAA, but it is not even close to the level of a 1-star Michelin restaurant with the quality of their service.
I ordered a bottle of wine. Server made me try a little of it. After I took a sip, and without him asking if I liked it, he then proceeded to pour me a glass of the wine.
The free bread and chopped olives were delicious.
Appetizers: confit pork belly - pork was perfectly cooked but bland, sauce was ok. Arancini - generous portion size. Delicious also.
The assistant server curiously took the remaining bread and olives when she removed the appetizer plates. We then waited about 10mins for the entrees to arrive.
Entrees: wagyu short rib - ok. Osso buco - ok.
Desserts: tiramisu - good interpretation. Black pepper gelato - creative and delicious.
Our server never cleaned our table in between serving the dishes. Our server never asked how we liked our appetizers or entrees. He did ask us how we liked our desserts.
View was great.
We were actually disappointed with the food the service was good and the app was good but for the pasta was just ok
My wife and I enjoyed another spectacular dinner at Armani's: Chef Jonathan hit it out of the park again!
We started off by ordering a bottle of wine; unfortunately, they were out of our favorite wine, so our server, John, did an excellent job of taking us through some nice options around the same price point. I had my mind on The Prisoner, but but wife had not tried it before. John graciously offered her a taste, and she loved it! As I've mentioned before, Armani's offers a very expansive selection of wine, and it is reasonably priced given the venue.
We each had Caesar salads once again; see my previous reviews of it. Simply put, this is the best take on a Caesar salad we've ever had, bar none.
We then shared the special appetizer: stuffed squash blossom. I've had a version of this app before, and I enjoyed the textural and flavor contrasts, so I was looking forward to Chef Jonathan's interpretation. It was a genius dish: lobster and ricotta filling, some heat in the batter by way of cayenne pepper (a deft touch at that), and a variation on a classic Romesco sauce. The flavors and creativity remind me of some of the most memorable dishes I've had at Brennan's in my hometown of New Orleans. It's a brilliant dish, and I hope Chef is able to work it into the regular menu.
For dinner, my wife had the spaghetti Bolognese, which was delicious, as always.
I went for the special entree: a 12 OZ NY Strip served with house-made Kobe butter (I know, right?! Chef made it from scratch) on top of red and green wilted kale and a sweet potato puree with a touch of truffle. I don't eat steak that often, so this was an indulgence that was well worth it!
Although the service was a little slow, overall Armani's was great. We celebrated my father's 70th birthday, and they even surprised with free dessert. It was lovely, and the view over the bay was spectacular (I was particularly happy that they accommodated my request for a window table).
Always a one of a kind special occasion restaurant, but also a unique style of dining that is seldom available today. A new chef has recreated the charm and cuisine with his own passion for presentation and creative dishes that the Armani's has always been known for.
The View and Service are exceptional
It was good not great! Not as good as it used to be. The service was very slow at times I had to pour my own wine. Dessert seemed to take forever.
OUR WAITER, JOHN, WAS EXCELLENT. OUR FOOD WAS DELICIOUS; AMBIANCE WAS PERFECT. I JUST FOUND THAT THE PRICES WERE A BIT HIGH. THAT’S WHY I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION. IT WAS MY FIRST VISIT. I WOULD RETURN.
We had an absolutely fantastic dinner on the night of our wedding day and we’ll surely make another visit. The waiters, hostess and other staff members were respectful, polite and professional. I enjoyed my night here and I’d recommend it to any couple.
Excellent antipasto and main courses excellent as well. Good service and nice water view.
Pricey but excellent food, fantastic view of sunset on the bay, but service became progressively slow as evening transpired.
We really enjoyed our dinner and definitely plan on coming back.
We came to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Had an excellent server. There were gluten-free choices as well as gluten-free bread. The food was cooked perfectly. Portions were good. The restaurant is very nice and the tables are not right on top of each other . Noise level was quiet so we could have a conversation at our table without shouting.
Truly outstanding!! Great meal, service and ambiance
Elegant dining experience with superb food and service. Not inexpensive, but a fantastic experience.
Food was delicious! Service excellent! Oscar and Quasam were awesome!
Server was inattentive, at least once I had to ask other service personnel to find our server. Some service personnel talked loudly and therefore were disruptive.
We have lived in Tampa for 8 years and have always talked of going here, but we end up always going to one of our standby favorites on same property - Oystercatchers. We decided to go here for our anniversary and WOW! What an incredible gem. Everything was perfect - views, ambiance, service and the food! The gnocchi is probably the best we have ever had but everything was exceptional. Highly recommended!
Management took great care of us, they truly enjoyable experience.
We have been to Armanis's on several occasions and it never let's us down fantastic food and even better service.
The views and service was excellent. Highly recommend
Good service. Food was ok
