Im unverwechselbaren Restaurant A.R. Valentien präsentiert Küchenchef Jeff Jackson seine Gerichte mit Meeresfrüchten, Fleisch, Gemüse und Milchprodukten, die er täglich frisch auf dem Markt auswählt. Auf dem Menü stehen Speisen, die mit den besten Produkten der jeweiligen Jahreszeit zubereitet werden können. Wir arbeiten mit bestimmten Bauernhöfen zusammen, die speziell für die Lodge produzieren. Der Fisch und die Meeresfrüchte werden von kleinen Unternehmen der Region Südkalifornien und Baja und anderen Produzenten an der Westküste geliefert. Aus Respekt für die Qualität der Lebensmittel sind wir bei der Zubereitung ein wenig zurückhaltend, um die natürlichen Aromen und Texturen zu erhalten. Zum Würzen verwenden wir einfache Gewürze, verschiedene Olivenöle sowie deftige Brühen und Bratensäfte, so dass die Speisen ihren natürlichen Nährwert beibehalten.

    It just doesn’t get any better than AR Valentien! The food is the most flavorful anywhere, and the presentation is lovely. The staff are top notch: professional, knowledgable and very friendly. Inside/outside; breakfast/dinner this is A Winner!

    Outstanding! We heard that they would be closing for a kitchen remodel and had to come one last time. The menu is unique, the setting on the outside patio is idyllic, and the service never disappoints.

    AR Valentien is one of our favorite restaurants. Our server Mick was very attentive as were the other staff. Mick has been our server a few times. He remembered us and what we like. The food is always excellent.

    As usual a special evening of fine dining, all courses superb from the chicken liver pate to the beautiful duck and halibut; we paired it all with a fine Peay Pinot and then topped it off with a digestif in the bar by the fire. One of San Diego's two finest, along with Wolf in the Woods in Mission Hills.
