Our server Michael was wonderful. We celebrated a very special friend’s birthday and the whole staff made our experience memorable. Thank You Anqi!
Every fish exceptional, fantastic service!!
Recommend the sizzling ribeye on the salt and table side ice cream !!!!
I will preface this by saying that I understand that the entire waitstaff were very professional and friendly. Having said that, I believe this restaurant is short staffed. We'd been to Crustacean and loved the food there so we had high hopes for this restaurant. After being seated for 15 minutes, our waiter finally came around to take our drink order and get us water. The only saving grace is that we got to order the food at the same time as the drinks so we didn't have to wait longer for the food order to be taken. We ordered their famous dishes to share, An's famous roasted crab ($90 was the market price), An's famous garlic noodles with prawns, truffle sashimi, Crustacean shaken beef, Octopus & Papaya salad, table-side ice cream dessert, a lychee martini and beers. We loved all the dishes EXCEPT for the roasted crab. This dish really fell short of expectation both in taste and portion for $90. The roasted crab was described by one of the people in my group as something that just came out of a can and sautéed to a "warm" temperature. Hardly worth the $90 price tag. I would also say that the other dishes all seem overpriced given the small portion size. The only good thing I can say is that at least the taste met our expectations and the ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful.
Our total bill came out to around $350 (pre-tip) which I would've gladly paid if the food and service was better. While I'd love to give this restaurant another chance down the line, I'd be hesitate to go there soon given the price and experience. I honestly would've rather gone elsewhere less expensive for dinner. We were all very disappointed with our experience.
Great food and atmosphere. Waitress was great too
Food, drinks and ambiance were AMAZING!
Our server was awesome, great food and drink recommendations.
I finally succumbed to the hype and ordered "famous" roasted crab and garlic noodles from the Secret Kitchen menu. I suppose it's hard to live up to the hype; the dishes were fine but not outstanding. And very pricey at $95 market price for the crab and $20 for the noodles.
Service was poor, inattentive, almost non-existent. Had to flag down another server for service.
Ambiance is nice.
The food was pretty bad. Too salty. The service was pretty slow and spotty. We waited a good 20 minutes before someone came to take our order. We won't be going back.
Good food ,VERY EXPENSIBE chairs very uncommittable
might go back
I went to AnQi for the first time for an early birthday celebration. The staff were very attentive, incredibly friendly and gave great recommendations. We tried the tuna tacos (the best), pork belly bao, garlic noodles and shaken beef. Everything was cooked to perfection, and as a self-proclaimed foodie I had no critiques. We will certainly be back!
Great service, great food, and a late night ambience even in the middle of the afternoon. Never leave disappointed
Absolutely loved my experience! The food, service and ambience was superb. Five stars for Christopher - he was extremely professional and perfect in every way! The food was delicious, had the calamari, lobster wonton soup, king crab, filet Ming on fried rice, dumplings, dumplings, tacos and the beignets were crazy good! Loves the cocktails as well.. I will be back!
Service was very good. Food was good but very pricey.
All the dishes we tried were excellent. The restaurant had power outage, so we were seated an hour late, but since it is in South Coast Plaza it was no hardship. Would come back again.
Great place for birthdays, special celebrations and family events.
Love Anqi, from the atmosphere to the food, it's all good! The Misoyaki Butterfish was absolutely delectable...melt in your mouth delicious! The lobster dumplings and the sashimi appetizers were fantastic. The dumplings are like silk. Amazing. Our server was attentive and friendly. Had to wait for one person in our party's entree to arrive as the others had already been served, but other than that, another delightful experience. Would love to see slightly bigger portions for the $$$.
Not what I expected at all. I’ve been to crustaceans in BH and hoping at least the garlic noodles will taste the same but it didn’t. I ordered the tiger prawns with garlic noodles and the the tiger prawns gig this this “after taste” and it’s over cooked which made it rubbery . For $54 it wasn’t worth it at all, I should have complained about it but our waiter only came by to take our order , checked with us once then give our bills . I had to remind him of the lemons I asked for, our glass water never got a refill. I had high expectations from AnQi but unfortunately, this was not a good experience.
It is always a great culinary experience at Anqi! We keep returning because of the great food delights on offer. The service is on point and the atmosphere is casual and nice. Overall very satisfied and we will continue to support this great eaterie.
Great but the pork belly in bao could be a BIT crispier !
I miss the VIP RED CARD which they discontinued unfortunately. Been going here for maybe 10 years ? Since they opened
Absolutely fantastic! Nothing I would
change about our whole experience!
We love coming to AnQi but our service was disappointing. We arrived and we ordered our beverages and appetizers. We received our appetizers but we didn't receive our beverages till we finished our appetizers. The server brought the 2 margaritas and a carafe of wine but forgot the wine glass. We placed our order for entrees and they were received in a timely manner, we didn't receive our rice that we ordered. The server finally admitted that she forgot to order the rice. We cancelled it as we had finished our entrees. The food is always excellent and usually the service is but tonight it was disappointing.
Awful service, overpriced
Food is consistently delicious
Food was fantastic
Service and food excellent
Great food and service.
My husband and I needed a date, and this was exactly what we hoped for. The ambiance is romantic and modern. We loved it
Unfortunately we’ve dined here and this was not a good experience. Our server didn’t even take our drink order for 20 minutes and that was with a reservation, and going to the manager. There were no follow ups from the manager regarding service or ensuring our needs were met. High priced restaurant for a decline in overall service and management.
We have been going to AnQi for years. They never failed us :-). The food was always tasty and the service was always great. We had a party of five for a birthday celebration. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We definitively will come back again.
Enjoyed the evening! Delicious food
The inventive food and the signature cocktails here are nothing short of superb.
SO OVERPRICED, you pay for the ambience because it's in Bloomingdale's literally lol.
For example: $16 for 3 tiny feta cheese phyllo (like spanakopita), $16 for 3 tiny veggie dumplings. The food has good flavor but honestly not worth it.
The service and ambience are nice though.
Over the years we have been dining at Anqui, the food and service have been consistently excellent. We are glad to be able to dine here again since the COVID regulations have eased up for indoor dining.
It's inside Bloomingdale's. What else is there to say?!
Glad to see Anqi survived COVID and is still around. We did notice quite a price jump on food items in the past year. Hopefully it keeps them in business.
Excellent find. Went for a business meal, and wish I were around to try more menu items. Drinks, food and service all superb.
It never disappoints!!! Great service, great food and drinks!
Love the ambience, the food and great service- outstanding!
Great food and great service. I also appreciate the way in which the tables were set up/a bi separated with social distancing.
