First time since COVID and great experience! Their outdoor patio is beautiful!
First, staff was fully covered with face masks, face shields and gloves. Temperature is measured and registered by a face scan. We got seated right away and tables have more than enough space between them.
Our table had pre sanitized, packed silverware and also a device that can be used for communication with staff.
Our menus were sanitized with a UV band and we were given complimentary hand sanitizer too.
I came here cause AnQi was participating on the OC Restaurant Week. We had the pre fixe Dinner menu ($80 p/p) and included 5 courses
1st Truffle sashimi (Hamachi, Albacore, Truffle Ponzu, Scallion, tobico)
2nd Trio of: Tombo tuna taco, tempura shrimp blue taco, bulgogi wonton nacho
3rd Garlic noodles with grilled prawns (yum!)
4th (there are three choices, but we got:) Misoyaki butterfish & Pekín roasted chicken with truffle hainan rice
5th (dessert) Lychee parfait.
I also had an cocktail "Ace of Space" that was finished by the table with a dehydrated orange slice that was rehydrated in rum. Pretty cool, but most importantly: it was delicious!!!
I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE 10000 TIMES!
I have been going to Anqui for many years, and loved it. I noticed last year their service and quality had slipped a bit.
My sister and I decided to go last night and were so disappointed, we saw our waitress once when we ordered and she disappeared for the rest of the meal.
We received one dish which wasn’t ours and then waited another 20 minutes for the rest of our meals, and we were almost given someone else’s dish. The noodles we ordered were dry and the food was barely warm.
We waited another 30 minutes for our bill, only to be given a bill for someone else.
I was so disappointed as this was once a great restaurant to have a great meal. Given the current pandemic, I would expect restaurants would be going above and beyond to make up for the months they were required to remain shut.
We went to AnQi for the OC Restaurant Week menu. We had inside seating and the ambience/deco was very classy. They went the extra mile on safety measures with providing free sanitizers to each table and using UV lights to clean glasses, etc. The waiters (Charlie & Christian) were very attentive and courteous. The manager also went around to each table to check on the customers.
We normally go to the original restaurant in San Francisco for their crabs, AnQi is the upscale restaurant with more a more fusion menu. The food was fantastic and excellent value. It is certainly not cheap but for the quality of food and portions, the price charged is well justified.
We will definitely come back.
The environment and food was amazing. Love how clean the whole restaurant was. Perfect for a night out!
Food tasted good, but could not finish it. Maybe stomach was telling me something. Later I got the message. Sorry, but the food used to be better.
Very nice host and wait team. High end interior design. Menu is very appealing but food missed the mark a bit. Tuna tacos and Japanese mojitos were very good. The ‘famous’ garlic noodles were overcooked and too soft. The wings had a perfect fry and good size but the sauce was just okay. The potsticker trio was disappointing as the sauces were all too thick and no delicate broth that I’d expect for a potsticker.
The service was exceptional. Everyone was extremely friendly. They took extra precautions to ensure safety before entering and prior to dining by checking for extra bacteria on the plates. Also, it was very nice that they provide hand sanitizer on each table.
Covid restrictions were awesome! But the service and food sucked! Food was cold and service was awful.
Overall service and food were great. It's kind of hard to hear what the waiter said with mask and shield on so the waiter place wrong order. The drink was over price. I was shocked to see the bills with $13.50 charge on one non-alcohol firefly juice
Fabulous food. Excellent service. Best protocol practices.
We are so glad Anqi is Open. We love the Anqi Dinning Experience and their Great Service Staff.
Overall, I had a pleasant dinner. The staff took extra safety precautions such as taking temperatures, providing hand sanitizer, and disinfecting surfaces with UV. The service was slow and there was a couple of communication issues. The food was good.
From the moment we arrived (thank goodness we had reservation) we were greeted and treated like the most welcomed guests. The food was exquisite from the chicken pot stickers, tuna tacos, garlic fried rice and filet chow fun to the tea and speciality cocktails.
And all this in a Bloomingdale's parking lot!
They were very safe and made me feel very comfortable
We found that AnQi was very well prepared for COVID dining guidelines and felt very protected both with our food and seating arrangements. The waiter was very friendly and attentive and most of all we were happy to see a lot of our favorite dishes on the menu despite the changes due to the pandemic guidelines. We will definitely be back again!
I understand due to the pandemic their under staffed, so that would explain the long wait and missing drinks. The food was delicious, but way over priced as were the drinks they were not strong, but very over priced. I like that the manger came to see how everything was going. Our bill was $675 for four adults and two kids. Overall we did enjoy our meal and the way the decorated the outside dining.
Amazing food and service. Exceeded my foodie expectations.
The food was great, the service was good but you have to order the food far away at the noodle bar first before you enter the restaurant, which is inconvenient and unecessary.
AnQui is doing a wonderful job in difficult circumstances. I felt completely comfortable being there, and they have created a beautiful ambiance outside.
I did think the food wasn’t quite as good as usual, but still, considering what they are having to deal with, completely understandable.
Still and all a terrific dining experience!
Would not come back. For Anqi prices, i was hoping to get much better food and services. Maybe it was the first day of their outdoor garden theme during COVID. Food quality and taste was sub-par. For a “high end” restaurant, you have to place order and pay cashier then go to your table; felt like self service.
Excellent service and the food was amazing!!! Thank you!
The way they have prepared due to Covid was excellent! They took every precaution to keep everyone safe. Food was amazing and service was Awesome!
Great experience! Appreciate all of the precautions they took to keep us safe
It was amazing, as always! AnQi has made it their mission to have the safest and most reassuring COVID-19 prevention! It was state of the art! This is forever my favorite restaurant because of so many reasons, and now there commitment to customer and staff safety, what more can I say? Thank you staff for being amazing and always kind to me and the other customers. You are all the best!
Loved the tuna tacos, garlic noodles and watermelon 🍉 cocktail! Will definitely go back! Great place for dinner or happy hour location! Staff was super friendly! Going back in a couple weeks with friends for happy hour!
Celebrated my moms birthday with my family. She was especially delighted with the complimentary banana fritter.
Amazing food as always!!! I go here every time I am in town!!!! It is quiet and there is always something new on the menu.
AnQi is an exceptional restaurant. Every bite of the food is amazing. The curry tofu, roasted veggies, calamari, really exquisite. Its is so pretty, with an unmistakable Asian vibe.
Treat yourself to the cookie and ice cream- the ice cream is made tableside and will not disappoint!
What a beautiful restaurant. The setting is spectacular. I wish that they would offer the same foods on their lunch menu at dinner.
Dined here on a recent Saturday eve and the food was just mediocre. We had the filet mignon potstickers to split and for entrees the butterfish and the lobster with garlic noodles. Our server did not look like she wanted to be there and was not available even though the restaurant was somewhat empty. If you are paying Anqi prices, then the food and service need to be stellar.
The food was extremely good and service was attentive and professional. It’s in a mall but that’s pretty common in SoCal so not too bad. It was expensive for the kind of food but high quality ingredients. Would not be a regular customer but happy to go for special occasions.
Way over priced for the food and service. Used to be much much better.
Great place for a meeting, conversation, and relaxed environment.
Good food , good service
The food was absolutely amazing. This, in combination with the outstanding service by Caleb, made my husband’s birthday a 5 star experience. I can’t imagine that you can go wrong with anything on the menu. It was our first time there, and Caleb walked us through the entire menu and made some killer recommendations. The garlic noodles are to die for. Can’t wait to go again!
Food is usually great and so is the service but tonight the service was poor
Underwhelming. Asian fusion - supposedly high end cuisine but not impressed. Best dish was the yuzu sashimi. “Famous” garlic noodles were like Top Ramen tossed in garlic. Probably won’t be back other than drinks.
