Fantastic food! Everything was great, we went with our server's suggestions and were not disappointed. Service was a little slow but didn't negatively impact the experience. Don't miss out on dessert!
Outstanding food and service. Great selection of southern comfort foods. We will be back.
Start to finish a great meal. It was our 2nd visit to verify the 1st time's excellence. ILL BE BACK...again
The atmosphere was very calming . Sergio and Sam were very accommodating. Food was good . Only complaint was the table next to us plates were taken back and put in boxes , but a box was brought out for us to box our own food . I quickly told Sergio to treat us like the table next to us and he took our plate back with no problem. We’re all paying customers and should be treated as equals . But overall I was impressed with my experience.
My husband and I reserved to dine here for our anniversary and had an amazing meal! Service was terrific and unrushed. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive and the meal was delicious! We will definitely go back. Our reservation was for upstairs dining room but we were seated downstairs.
Everything was wonderful

We are spending a couple of nights in New Orleans.
My sister and brother-in-law had told me about your app , and since we weren’t sure where to go dinner , I used it for the first time
The restaurant was lovely and quaint .
The matre d and our waitress were very friendly and attentive.
We shared the avocado crab salad and the shrimp etouffe , finished off with the bread pudding banana foster .
My husband said the shrimp etouffe , was the best he ever had .
A definite great dining experience and we will definitely return on another visit to New Orleans
Good was outstanding.
Excellent food. Excellent service. The menu was varied but uniquely New Orleans. Great wine selection with reasonable prices. Would return next time we are in New Orleans. Went early in the evening so quiet. Do not know about later when the restaurant is full.
Our waitress was lovely but the food was unremarkable.
We had a nice 22 Anniversary there … food was fabulous and the atmosphere wad very cool with 200 year old beams and columns.. great Art and the staff was friendly and lots of smiles..
Great service from Melissa and great food
Excellent all around!
Everything we ordered was phenomenal! Fried green tomatoes and fish of the day!
Fantastic dinner experience. High end feel without feeling pretentious or stuffy. Perfect for a romantic dinner (which this was). Food is amazing. We had an oyster app, beet salad, crab and asparagus soup, and 2 different veal entrees, plus dessert. Every single bite was delicious. We had top notch service and a great time. They have a well rounded wine menu and full bar as well. Loved Loved Loved it!
great maitre d. food very tasty.
The food was terrible. Salad starters were shredded iceberg lettuce and drowning in cheap balsamic vinaigrette. The duck was so dry it was almost all bones. it seemed like it had been sitting around for hours. The pasta primavera was a jar of canned tomatoes Over shrimp. No one ate their meals. The service was terrible!!!
I have been to Annunciation twice. It is quite good but also a bit of a near miss. The food is very good, although it doesn’t arrive at the table as hot as it might. The service is fine. No problems on either visit and better on the first visit. In really good restaurants they act a little more as if they wanted to be there and are glad you are too. I will go again - it is close and convenient to my place in New Orleans, with good food and interesting cocktails. The food and the chef deserve better management. If it added a little more spark, it would draw more, but then I would need advance rather than same day reservations.
Service was great! Waiter made great suggestions, enjoyed my food!
We went there on the Saturday night before Halloween and sat in the bar. It was great!! Great service for sure. We had a bottle of wine and had the boudin balls (we highly recommend!!) and The fried oysters with the brie (if you like spicy foods we don’t recommend this as it’s a very mellow taste).
Then I had the beet salad which was amazing and my boyfriend had the Caesar salad which was super good also. For our entrées we had the soft shell crab pasta and the veal Annunciation. Both dishes were really good. I loved my veal but when I go back (and we will!) I would love the crab…can’t describe the spices but the dish is superbe. After all this unfortunately we just couldn’t have desert as we were way too full. There were a lot of people in the dining room and a huge group went out towards the end of our meal and not kidding we didn’t hear them at all during the evening. Great place to go and we hope to get back to Nola again soon!! You have to try this place!!
One of our new favorites in New Orleans. Everything about the evening was fantastic, cocktails, wine list, food & service. We will definitely be back next time we’re in town
Staff and meal made for an enjoyable evening out. Fish Capri was amazing!
Trying to find a good dining option on a Monday night post pandemic isn't easy. I have been living in New Orleans for 31 years now, and was tasked to make dinner reservations for out of town guests on their last night in town. This was my first experience at Annunciation. I did not care to sit upstairs, the space looks like it was converted from a "Great Room" or someone's "Bonus Room." There was nothing remarkable about any of the food; the fried oysters had no seasoning, the pork shoulder and the veal Annunciation were underwhelming. It wasn't bad enough to send back, just not good enough to ever want to try it again. On the plus side, our server was kind, and gave us extra time to enjoy our cocktails and conversation between courses.
Menu looks good yet fails to deliver. Food is very underwhelming.
Great food and great service. Ambience was fine, too. Highly recommended!
All the food was very taste but the presentation is below average. Nice vibe and good looking place but they need to catch up with the presentation.
The waitress said the duck dish ( tasted delicious) comes with wild rice and sautéed spinach but it was only mixed greens like out of the bag.
This place is so cute for a date night! The food was amazing! The service is incredible! The cocktails were so good! Highly recommend this place for something new!
We say outside on patio and waitress was fabulous..
I'm not sure how to feel about this situation. It definitely seems like a different chef or something because my food wasn't accurate. Here's two pictures of the same item but different days. How's that possible. Service was great but presentation and quality was off.
Annunciation is such a charming restaurant. Classy, cozy, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is fantastic! The food is excellent. Complements to the chef. I highly recommend this establishment.
My wife and I were greatly impressed with Annunciation. their French cuisine with a hint of Creole was very refreshing as well as rewarding to our taste buds. The décor of the restaurant was a rustic, modern, artistic, and inviting, which is reminiscent of hospitality that New Orleans is known for. Their offering from the cellar are perfect for pairing with most of their main courses, and our selections were perfect!
Sam was very accommodating, professional and kind while providing an atmosphere and we will always remember, and look forward to our next visit.
All was great. Food was some of the best we’ve had recently. Staff was at tentative and personable.Noise level tolerable although restaurant was less than half full at the time we went. Will certainly go back soon.
The soft shell crab was delicious, and the Lamb chop special was great, the cheese cake was creamy, and the drinks were oh so good BUT skip the shrimp linguine. Sam was a wonderful waiter!!
Sam was absolutely marvelous. Food, ambience and service was awesome. Thank you.
Darren was a great server! Food was wonderful. We will be back!
Fabulous food and service.
I had the black drum with crab and crawfish and it was outstanding. One of the best pieces of fish I ever had. My wife had the pecan trout that she loved and was very good; but that drum was phenomenal.
The soft shell crab over crawfish cream pasta was Amazing!.
Everything about our experience was good - not great, but certainly a good experience that we were satisfied with. Menu was a little limited due to it being just after Hurricane Ida, but we found good options and enjoyed our choices. Very home-y feel in this restaurant.
Delicious fresh fish, steaks, drinks, dessert… All yummy!
Great staff & service too!
