Angel Stadium – Lexus Diamond Club Patio Ratings and Reviews
The Diamond Club menu changed this year. Instead of your choice of an entree accompanied by stations featuring salads, sides, and desserts, this season it is just the food stations and no entree. The price is the same and very pricey for what you get. Proteins are offered as tapas style samplings. You cannot see the field from inside the Club so patio seating is the best. The chairs on the patio are bar height and almost impossible to move once you are seated in them. The Diamond Club could be fabulous with a more traditional menu. Service is always attentive and friendly.
It is a fun, causal, relaxing way to watch the game. EXCEPT if you are seated at either of the 2 tables on the far right or left... you cannot see home plate. They have the elevated box seats in front of you. Every other time it's been awesome... if they seat you there... leave and go watch at The Catch while you have dinner... at least you will see the game. p.s. I enjoyed the buffett.
Awesome way to get to the stadium early and watch batting practice and warm up before you head to your seats. Next time we might try the 6:00 seating and watch the first part of the game from the patio. The food was great! Buffet includes appetizers all the way through desserts- top level quality.
Janice was our server and she truly made our experience!! So thoughtful and so attentive. She really made us feel very special and was fantastic. Food was good but not many options for the buffet.
Would like to have seen more entree selctions. All and all it was a really great experience !
Watching a game from the Angel's Diamond Club is an awesome experience. You first need tickets for that area of the stadium. Then you should definitely reserve a table on the patio so you can eat while watching the game. The buffet is quite good, with many choices from salads through to desserts. You can also order off a menu if you prefer. Food was quite tasty. Service was very attentive. We were sad that the Angels lost, but it was still a great experience.
We were celebrating our mom's 88 birthday at the Angel game and dined in the Diamond Club. Our waitress, Angelina, was outstanding! She was very attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of. The food was good, very large portions. Although pricey, it's worth it.
Only bummer was that we had the second seating time and we didn't get to sit down until after the game started before the first seating hadn't left yet. We eventually mentioned it to an employee standing in the buffet area and he helped speed up the seating process.
Last season the overall food experience had improved significantly. Early on this season was also pretty good even w/o the option of ordering the main entree off the menu. However, something has really changed in the quality of the food in the last serveral months. Seems really basic/substandard food selections given the price point. The brunch options was really sad. I'm a long time season ticket holder and would not currently recommend dining here. I would order off the Bar menu instead.
Very nice time, although a little disappointed with the tall tables on the patio. Very awkward and uncomfortable. Spent over 100 + 20 dollar tip. I really wish I would have known this info about the tables. Next time I'll see if we can get the few short tables or we will sit inside the restaurant.
we have season tickets and this was the first time we ate on the patio this season. the buffet was fine but I always preferred the option of ordering off a set menu ( steak, fish etc) the buffet doesn't compare to that type of dinning. also cudos for being able to reserve online instead of having to call but you need to add the number for each patio table to reserve the exact table and location preferred.
It is a great way to enjoy an Angels game. The view is terrific. It is all buffet, which is a shame. Much more enjoyable when you could order off the menu. The food was really strange- everything had weird spices on it - I think it was an effort to be creative and hip - but wasn't good. You could tell things had been in a warmer tray forever - and we were the first seating! So go for the ambience but not if you are in the mood for a tasty dinner.
Food was really good. I don't usually care much for buffets, but they had lots of options that were available at carving stations, etc. The desserts were delicious. Everything was very clean, our waitress Ashley was attentive and very friendly, the busser kept our table clean. We enjoyed having in-seat dining options and service as well.
The best way to watch an Angel game!!! We also had our seats which were super great! But our waiter was super nice and the bus server was outstanding. We waited for our table in the bar and the waitress was fantastic! The food is buffet style and offered good choices. The food is higher quality than normal stadium food, and very tasty! Overall a very fun night at the Angel game!!!
This is our fourth trip to the Diamond Club. On the first we did not have reservations and ordered hamburgers inside the club. They were great. On the other three we had pregame reservations, ate outside and enjoyed the buffet. We love it there and look forward to returning.
I personally don't like the changes in the buffet. The selection was not great, the taste average, and the food matches the atmosphere. The ticket price is high and the food was disappointing. Next time we will do the food court or eat before we get to the game.
We love the Diamond Club as we have been dining her for years! This year it seems exceptionally good. Some years have not been our favorite but we love the small bites and the amazing dishes they come up with. A real treat and getting to see the Angles play while you dine is a treat!
