Enjoyed the evening of food fun and fellowship on my date night with my hubby!!!
The food was GREAT!!!!!!!!!! Recommend the Osso Bucco and the Saffron rice.
I’m been eating there for years Food is always great Great restaurant for authentic Italian food
Poor service. Waiter did not bring salad or turtle soup we ordered. Did not bring bread to table when requested. Sent wrong bill.
Perfect New Orleans landmark. Food was wonderful. Chef Andrea, a local celebrity, personally visited our table to check that our experience was perfect. It’s an hour plus drive for us, and will return.
Andrea's is our "go to" regular for true authentic Italian. Every single dish is carefully prepared and so delicious! The prices are extremely fair for the portions you are served. The restaurant is very Italian in atmosphere and welcoming. The staff is so friendly and personal and right there waiting to serve you. Food as it should always be: fresh and delicious. Memorable flavors. Enjoy everytime we go!
I have been to Andrea's several times and have never been disappointed. The food is always consistent and have several choices to choose from. They always have specials in addition to the menu. I enjoy going there as they never rush you and let you take your time.
We went for restaurant week and had the vesl special. The veal was pretty good. The Fettuccine Alfredo needed either salt or pepper none of us could figure out what it was missing. The service was sub par to say the least. As soon as we entered the restaurant there was this badd odor or smell. That was throughout the whole bar and restaurant. I was so disappointed. As a kid I used to love going to Andrea's and the food was unbelievable. The quality of the food has definitely gone down and the service was A bummer.
Andreas has been a well known restraurant in Metairie for decades. I expected true northern Italian fare. Unfortunately, the food was too heavy. It seemed it’s been Americanized and quantity has become more important than quality. Also, I think there was a broken sewer pipe as the restraurant was foul smelling.
Andrea’s was a perfect place to have a delicious, quiet, enjoyable meal with a friend or loved one. The service was impeccable. This is the kind of place that will become a tradition with me and my friends and family.
The food is good, although perhaps a bit overpriced. Have enjoyed this place more on weekends nights for the live music and drinks. We did not have the most attentive waiter. We tried to order our food in stages, Italian style, but this was met with confusion. Also, on this particular night there was a sewer gas smell that was very unpleasant. We have not experienced that here in the past.
We enjoyed our Anniversary Dinner at Andrea's very much. The northern Italian cuisine is a bit different from your typical Italian restaurants around time. The variety on the menu was a pleasant surprise. Last time I was there it was for my college graduation dinner so it's been a while. We were happy to come back for a nice family meal on our special day. I must say that the "TEAM" of staff to wait on us was spectacular! They couldn't have been nicer, they made our day.
Food was outstanding but took a long time to get to the table. Make sure they don't seat you near the service table as the noise from the kitchen, the bar after 8:30pm, and the constant activity of the wait staff detracts from the experience. The noise/music from the bar drowned out the nice music playing in the dining area.
Food was good. Service was attentive. A nice experience to a celebrate a birthday.
Lunch with my beautiful wife
Excellent all around. The sautéed Pompano, the white bean and duck cassoulet, and the risotto were excellent. Nice, fairly priced wine list well-suited to the menu.
The waitress took forever to get our drink order, then one bottle of wine was ordered by one guest and she left the table without getting the rest of the drink orders. It then took about 10 minutes for her to come back with the wine, but then once she asked how many were drinking the wine (only 3 out of 6 were) she then left the table again to get rid of some of the glasses before coming back to serve the 3 guest drinking the wine and take the other guests orders. Another guest at the table was hit in the head twice by another server, and only one time did he pardon himself. This was a rather firm elbow to the back of the head of an 85 year old man...Needless to say service was lacking. It took us nearly 3 hours to dine.
My wife and myself went to celebrate my Birthday. We arrived about 5:20 that Saturday August 25, 2018. We were greeted Mr. Andrea's himself and was seated at our table. Sorry, but we can't remember our waiters' name, but he was an older black gentleman. The service started out good, but as the night went on it was terrible. After the main course, we were asked if we would like to see the desert menu. It took 20 minutes to receive it and another 15 minutes to receive our desert. Then when we received our bill it was incorrect. It took another 15 minutes to get it right. I'm sorry, but we spent 2 hours total for our meal. We were very disappointed in the service. The food was great. We wanted to make it home to see the Saints game that night, but we missed the whole 1st quarter. We will probably come back, but won't be served by that gentleman on our next visit. Please nicely address this to your other servers to be more aware of your customers or you my lose business.
Perfect place to take my wife.Had a reservation and was treated well from the opening bell until we left.Food was great and we had dessert. We never eat dessert, but the carrot cake was delicious.
Thanks guys, you have an amazing product. And we will be back soon.Pete Santacruz
Always a fun evening at Andrea's, but it seemed a bit noisy in the restaurant. Had a great time at the bar listening to Uncle Wayne.
Went here for restaurant month in New Orleans. After reading reviews (mixed) was a bit skeptical about my choice. The choices had changed on the menu when we were handed the menus but what was available was excellent and no one left unsatisfied. The staff was friendly and the food was nice and hot...be careful of the serving dishes...they are very hot!
My only complaint was that I went in with a Groupon, and it was never clear that you had to order a certain way, despite the fact that I mentioned the Groupon when I made the reservation, the Groupon itself contained no details other than that it was worth $60, and I asked 2 different servers during the dinner if there were any restrictions or requirements. They kept saying, "No, you can order anything you want from the menu." However, when we ordered an appetizer and an entree to split (after ordering a bottle of Cabernet), they told us, "No, you have to order 2 entrees." So then, we attempted to cancel the appetizer, to which they replied, "You have to order an appetizer. And separate entrees." Also, the dining area was a little bright for dinner service, in my opinion. Service was great otherwise, the food was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the portions were generous.
I dined with a group of 6 this past Saturday night. Three said their meal was good , three were very disappointed. How can a chef from Napoli, Italy make bad Veal parmigiana? My veal was tough and not very flavorful. The cannelloni was fair, Caesar salad was soggy from too much dressing. Turtle soup was good. Service was slow and the waiter never did deliver on our request for more bread when he served our entrees. I won't be going back to Andrea's.
Always love stopping by for a consistently delicious Italian dinner!! The staff is efficient and friendly, their grilled fresh fish and seafood is always tasty, as well as their Italian dishes!! Chef Andrea is the best and usually there to stop by and say hi. They have a great wine list as well!
I will return. The wait staff was very helpful. Love the restaurant.
It had been 4 years since we've visited Andrea's. The 4-year hiatus was due to a bad food experience; unfortunately, this visit was no better. I had the Osso Buco; it was tough and had no taste. My companion had the crab ravioli; the crab was not fresh and pasta was tough & seemed to be undercooked. The waiter did offer to replace my companion's meal, and lasagna was selected, but it seemed to be pre-packaged; more is expected of an Italian restaurant. Definitely a forgettable meal. It may be another 4 years before we try Andrea's again.
A wonderful and personable experience. Service level was great, food presented well. We will be back. Priced reasonable for what you are getting.
Andrea's always serves superbly prepared meals and the 25 cent martinis are an added treat.
The Good food, service was excellent and atmosphere was rewlaxing.
Have been to Andreas at least a dozen times and this was my worst experience. Quality of meal was OK, but no eggplant available and no anchovies for salad. Mixed up table delivery and took 5 minutes to get it right. Osso Buco flavor and quality was not as good as in the past. Food service was very slow for entrees, desert and coffee (only warm). There was a party held in a adjacent room and I think that slowed down the process. Very unorganized.
Food and presentation very amazing. Traditional Italian at its best,Beautiful dining room,Chic bar,The only down side was the service we arrived at 7:00 pm and left at 10:30.I will be back but will request another server.
The best authentic Italian restaurant in New Orleans
The food and service were excellent. It was a party of four. We started with cocktails, two with named bourbons on the rocks and the other two old fashions. All were real hardy man sized drinks. We split two (2) appetizers, the baked oysters and the clams. Both were delicious, however I preferred the oysters. We all had the prime rib and requested it in various cooking degrees, from rare to medium well. All were cooked to our liking. The dish came with red caramelized onions and roasted potatoes, which were somewhat unusual however very tasty. All that remained on our plates was a little fat from the prime rib. We finished the meal splitting two desserts, namely a Terra mi sou and a chocolate cake with alternating layers of pudding and a creme. They finished a great meal on a sweet high note.
I had a good experience
Great seevice makes the food taste better. We will be back for sure. Thanks Groupon👍
I was very disappointed that the restaurant refused to honor the Groupon discount that I had which is what caused me to patronize that restaurant, coming from out of state. The excuse which was given was that I did not identify that I was going to be using the discount prior to ordering. I would not have chosen to dine there without the discount as it is quite expensive.
It was just an ok place for dinner. The owner was very sweet!
I had a romantic dinner here recently and everything about it was outstanding. If you are a fan of authentic Italian restaurants, you need to seek this place out. The chef is genuinely hospitable and works the room. The food was delicious, (thank you Chef for the amuse bouche, a bite sized bruschetta that set the tone for the rest of the night). And the service was worthy of the white linen on the tables. Although I didn’t go in, the bar (Capri Blu) is a great neighborhood spot with a great vibe. I’ll be back.
The perfect place for a leisurely family dinner with conversation! Great food. Great service.
Great food! Excellent service! I would recommend to anyone who enjoys Italian style food.
