Everything was wonderful: the ambiance delightful, the service fantastic, the food delicious and fresh. Pricy but commensurate with quality of the food and the place. Piano Bar was a big plus as my guests and I loved Wayne Daigrepont's playing old songs and show tunes. Great evening!
Meal before attending the opera. We were running a little late. They were happy to oblige us and served us quickly.
Complimentary Bruschetta was a delicious surprise. Entire meal was excellent. And it’s always a treat to have the Chef Andrea come to the table and greet everyone. Makes you feel special and that he appreciates your patronage.
Restaurant in steep decline. Food was poor, couldn't eat some of it. Drenched in olive oil.
Andrea’s always surpasses my expectations! Not only are the meals consistent in quality, but the service is as well! I have ordered so many different appetizers, entrees, desserts and drinks and I’m always amazed at how great everything is! The house wine is exceptional too! Will continue to go back here for every special occasion that our family celebrates!
The food was good but the service was very disappointing. Drinks, appetizers, and entrees were all extremely S…L…O…W to come out. What’s more, two of our four entrees were not as we ordered. The Veal Chop Valdostano came without proscuitto and fontina cheese. And rather than prime rib medium rare, what was served was a ribeye, cooked medium. If this had been our first visit, we wouldn’t come back. But since we’ve had very good experiences on a number of other occasions, we will return. However, we will be S…L…O…W to do so.
An enjoyable meal, food was very good and service was also very good. I would recommend the food and restaurant to my friends. The only negative I would have the lighting in the restaurant was rather bright. I would suggest dimming the lighting a little.
This is the second time in recent years we chose Andrea's for Valentine's dinner, and Andrea's, as always, did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. We will definitely return soon. I highly recommend trying his signature red wine. It is reasonably priced and went well with our food, both fish dishes.
Good food but the service was very slow. Perhaps that’s because it was Valentine’s Day and there were a lot of customers. I’m never disappointed when I come here.
It was Valentine’s Day. We were not seated in the restaurant as we expected but were put in an area used for parties or events. We were not able to order from the regular menu. Very disappointing compared to previous experiences.
Great and attentive waiter, the food was good and the temp of the food was excellent
Valentine’s Day dinner.
The service was outstanding, attentive, and friendly. We received our courses in the perfect amount of time: not too rushed but not too slow. Great, comfortable atmosphere.
A New Orleans institution, this is the place for authentic Italian food. A great place to celebrate those special occasions ( like birthdays).
I enjoyed having live music coming from the Capri Blu bar, a beautiful bar within Andrea's. The wait staff were all very attentive and professional. The Chef's own Andrea's Aglianico Red Wine was very good.
Regarding the fried calamari appetizer: the calamari was only half-consumed due to the heavy breading. I understand the breading is usually much lighter. I was delighted with the Caesar salad, very crisp and tasty.
The entree was Red Snapper Aqua Pazza (Crazywater). It was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. An added bonus is having Chef Andrea personally come to our table to ask if everything was alright. I enjoyed the dinner.
A very nice meal, everything was enjoyed by all. Good variety of food, portions were exactly wnough. Staff was very tennativ.overall, very pleased. I recommend dining there and will be returning.
Great experience. Chef Andrea came to our table several times!! Food was PERFECT! And Service, well service was exceptional!! Santino was the best!! Never needed for anything!!
The overall experience was outstanding. Service was great. Andrea had his own vineyard in Capri . I had his red wine . Very good and reasonably priced . Calamari was delicious . Very light and tasty batter. The only thing I was disappointed in was the tiramisu. It was dry and not tasty .
Entree was good but charbroiled appetizer was mediocre.
Service and food quite good. Need reservations, especially during holidays
I didn’t know the only option was the gala dinner after 7:00 pm @ $98 / person . There was NO indication about that during the reservation. So when you get to the restaurant you’re stuck. Then we had a 2 hrs wait, had to ask for to go boxes for my kids, that had a party at 10:30 pm and call an Uber to pick them up. NEVER AGAIN!!!
It was New Year’s Eve and I believe Andrea had some wait staff problems. That could be understood, but the food was awful! Over cooked, soggy, poor quality. Dessert was inedible. Sorry, we used to live andrea’s.
worst Andreas experience ever. I should have known when I called to ask about the limited menu for new years eve. the hostess was so incredibly rude and unhelpful I should have cancelled then. we were sat at exit right near hostess station. we were seated and given gala menus. I was specifically told we could order off of the limited menu before 7:30. Luckily our very overworked server switched it out. He didnt seem to know much about the menu. No one seemed to know what was going on. Table across from us complained multiple times never took drink order. we saw 3 tables walk out. They were not told about gala menu. 1 table was there before 730 and were told they could not order off limited menu. The hostess was incredibly rude. my husband's lamb was so overcooked he could barely eat it. The waiter took my daughter's gumbo to pack it up to go and it was never brought back to the table. I will not be returning to Andreas any time soon. It used to be one of our family's favorite places.
My wife and I had not been here for several years but decided to try it again for a family dinner on New Year's Eve. After being seated, we waited twenty minutes with no waiter ever visiting the table. We only were given some stale bread but never even had a chance to order drinks or food. Plus, the fixed price menu seemed extremely overpriced for what the menu offered. Obviously, we were very disappointed and left the restaurant without a waiter ever stopping by our table.
The service was terrible and the food was even worse. We paid $98 per person for New Year's eve and I've had better food at Piccadilly. Will never eat at Andrea's again or recommend.
Absolutely the worst service we have ever had at a high priced restaurant. Repeatedly asked for water, coffee, etc only to be forgotten or ignored.
Ate an early New Years Eve meal here with family. Nice atmosphere but just so-so food at a very expensive cost!
Outstanding meal and service! Thoroughly enjoyed my pork shank osso bucco and our friends enjoyed their meals as well.
We went for Christmas diner. We had reservations. It was a limited menu which was OK, but the dishes were pre-prepared and warmed up as evidenced by dry edges on the edges of sauces and gravy. The salad dressing was, not there. There was barely any gravy for the dry duck. The filet was good, with a nice sauce, but pre-cooked. VERY slow service. Mimosa was OK, really? Yep! Deserts were the best part, with very small cups of cappuccino. Overall, we're from out of town and won't be back, to see if non-holidays are better.
Terrible food - my kids got sick!
This was Christmas Day so it was very busy. Server was quick with drinks & order. No bread served, finally asked for some. Food was average to good. We enjoyed our dinner and will go back.
This was the Christmas dinner from Hell!! To give it 1 star is being overly generous! If I could have given it zero stars I would have! We had a dinner reservation for 3:00 pm. Once we were seated it took about 15 or 20 minutes before our waitress came to take our order. We ordered the $49.95 one price, select one appetizer, one entree, one dessert. I ordered the ravioli appetizer, chicken Parmesan entree, and the apple pie dessert. My son ordered the ravioli appetizer, duck entree, and the carrot cake dessert. My ex-wife ordered the duck soup appetizer, lamb chop entree, and bread pudding dessert. After sitting at our table without any food of any kind for about an hour and 15 minutes, my son asked if we could have some bread. After about another 10 minutes, still with no bread, he asked again. After about another 5 minutes they finally brought some bread to our table! About 10 minutes later they finally brought our appetizers. They weren't hot. That were barely warm, but we ate them anyway. At about 4:50 pm I got up and went and ASKED if we could just pay for our appetizers and leave as we had been there almost two hours and still hadn't gotten our entrees yet. I explained that we had somewhere else to be at 5:30 pm. Well, after about another 10 minutes they brought out my and my son's entree (not my ex-wife's). About another 5 minutes later they finally bring her entree out. It was now about 5:05 pm. We start eating. Mine was cold. I couldn't eat it. My son couldn't eat his duck either. I told them to box up my chicken parmesan (in the hope that if it was hot that it might be edible) and the desserts. My son sent his duck back and told them not to bother boxing his up. He didn't think he could eat it even if it was hot! I thought there might be some adjustment to the bill because we had TERRIBLE service and two inedible meals, but NO! The bill for the three meals, one beer, and a Diet Coke came to $176! If you ask me, they are stealing money from their customers!
Was very crowded for Christmas but once seated it was calmer and able to have a conversation. The food selection was large but not up to the usual quality because of the large crowds they had to serve. Have had better food there on non holiday visits. Guests liked their meals. Served a lot of food.
The food was not good at all nothing to do with Italian :(
We were supposed to eat Chrstmas eve it was too noisy, cold with AC, we left after 30 min with the food to to go
It was Christmas Eve dinner with a pre-defined dinner menu and still the service and the food quality were poor meaning that they were not prepared at all for the occasion. Very expensive for a very long waiting and food tasting like frozen food.
Overcrowded restaurant and the staff could not keep up. Food was delicious, but took forever to come out.
We went on Christmas Eve at 7PM. Placed our drink, appetizer, and entree orders by 7:15 PM. Received our appetizers in a timely manner, but the waiter kept forgetting to bring me my glass of champagne. Waited 1/2 hour for my drink. Waited over an hour for our entrees after we received our appetizers. Our waiter was nowhere to be found. I had to get up to tell the hostess we were about to leave. She checked with the kitchen and said our orders were being plated right at that moment. Had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes to receive our food. The waiter never checked on us the entire time to see how things were going. The hostess checked on us after we were almost finished our entrees, and offered us a free round of drinks. But I was the only one who had a drink (no one else at the table was drinking). I saw several tables seated after us, received their meals before us, and they were finished and left long before we left. Terrible service. The food is very good quality but I don't recommend going there on a busy night. We had never had a problem before, but there is an issue with the wait staff on busy nights.
Our waitress was horrible!! Messed up our order several times and came to the table crying about it. The restaurant did nothing to make it right. Our food came to the table cold and there’s nothing worse than cold fish with a thick cream sauce, especially when it wasn’t the sauce ordered. We were gracious and didn’t cause a scene- even tipped the waitress but we won’t go back or recommend it ever again. The only thing I’ll miss are the eggplant crab cakes. The quality is not what it use to be.
