   Overall, the place was very nice. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. My only bone to pick is that I just straight up didn't get my food. I came with my girlfriend for our 3rd anniversary and came with high hopes. We both got out starters no problem, but when our main course showed up, mine was nowhere to be seen. At first we didn't think anything of it as we were sharing both of our meals. We also don't ever go to fancy restaurants so we weren't entirely sure of the proper etiquette and how things are suppose to happen. However, when our waiter came back at the end with the dessert menu, I asked about my food and he seem genuinely shocked. Which also came as a surprise to me. I had ask him what is a good choice to go with and also asked what his favorite is. Both times he said the short rib so I said I would have that. I thought it was very clear that we were both ordering food. Mostly, I'm just kinda ticked that this happened, especially at a very nice and classy restaurant. I have never had that happened at any restaurant. I understand maybe putting in the wrong side or forgetting to take out something like tomatoes. But to not even order an entire meal? What really sucks is that we didn't even get a sincere apology. It felt quick and half assed. I wasn't looking for a discount or coupon, but at least own up to your mistake. If you're working at Alloy, you've been a waiter long enough to not make mistakes like this. I know we would have gotten the meal had the kitchen still been open but it just leaves a sour aftertaste about the whole thing.

   A new menu has recently been developed. Two of the starters were a disappointment: tuna with mango salsa was too much salsa and the slimmest slice of tuna: the chicken empanada was so hard from deep frying, it could not be cut with a knife. More attention to detail is required.

   I went to Alloy for my birthday with a group of girls. I have been to the restaurant before and was impressed by everything including the service, food, and environment, I was excited to attend again! Unfortunately, this time was completely different and I will never be going back. The service was absolutely awful, our waiter was rude, and very unaccommodating. We pay a premium to experience restaurants like this, and to leave with such a bad taste in my mouth on my birthday was very disappointing.

   Very nice experience at Alloy. Food and ambiance was perfect for a great evening with our friends. Service was respectful and attentive with no rush. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

   We dined at Alloy for my birthday. The food and service were a definite 5 star. Our server was Lori. I loved her personality, and she took great care of us. Whether you're out for a nice lunch or dinner, I would highly recommend dining at Alloy. It's one of my favorite restaurants in Calgary and never disappoints.

   very disappointed with my second time at Alloy. The server wasn't very attentive, though very polite. The food was very under seasoned and underwhelming. I had to ask for salt because the risotto was so bland tasted like it was made with water not broth. The prawns were good and the scallops, though large, were quite rubbery. Dessert was good, but not outstanding like usual. Based on this experience, I won't be in an hurry to go back. Mostly business crowd for lunch on a Thursday, but it was nearly impossible to talk and hear one another at all.

    Food and service were outstanding. Even though we were in a booth, the noise was so loud that it was difficult to have a quiet conversation between us.
