First time here and we enjoyed the food and ambience. Outside sitting was great and entertaining. I recommend this place.
Great service! Great food! Great atmosphere in back patio. I would highly recommend
Food was very good. Service was good as well. The outdoor dining was adequate, but not ideal.
It was too hot to dine outside, but that’s where they put us. The food was excellent as always.
The food was delicious. Maybe you are under staffed; the service was spotty.
Food and service were outstanding, but there were a lot of flies inside the restaurant.
This was a tremendous meal highlighted by amazing tapas and a warm and inviting atmosphere. My wife and I highly recommend the shrimp and duck tapas and their cocktails are no joke either.
A perfect experience from beginning to end, excellent food and service.
Food as always was great. We sat outside next to the street, a little loud from passing traffic but still a great atmosphere. A very nice time.
We chose to sit outside on L Street, which was good, but not great. However, our awesome waiter and the amazing food totally made up for the shortcomings of this decision. For the 3 of us, we chose 6 Tapas Calientas to share--what a wonderful way to sample multiple dishes! We are making plans to return so we can try at least 6 more! We highly recommend Aioli Bodega Espanola!
A disappointing experience compared to all the previous experiences at this restaurant. Seriously overpriced for rather meager tapas.
The halibut complete meal was much better.
WE LEFT ! It was our anniversary, we let the restaurant know in our reservation we arrived 5 min early, it took about 6 minutes before we could flag down a waiter. We reserved outside seating and he just pointed us to an inside table and started to leave. We told him we had reservations and for outside seating he then pointed to the outside! After being finally seated and after 15 minutes, ( no water, no menu .... nothing ) and watching other tables being served we left.
Walked down the street to another restaurant, they quickly seated us, brought us a gift of champagne took our order promptly served.... Evening saved. Aioli probably had a bad night but then again, the menu and prices did not reflect even closely to what was on their on-line menu and pricing.
Second time I’ve been here in the last two weeks. It was great on all fronts. Food, service, ambience. Now has become a regular for me.
Outdoor dining was lovely. Lots of nightlife in the neighborhood, gave it a fun buzz.
Particularly good dishes were the salmon tapas, the butterleaf/endive/radicchio salad, and the house sangria.
Ordered the Paella Valenciana, grilled octopus, chorizo and gravlax. Food was absolutely amazing! Took a bit of time for staff to greet and seat us, but overall experience was amazing!
This is our go-to dining place when we go to Sacramento Philharmonic events.
My go to for a good business lunch. The food is great, great value and great atmosphere!
The food is the saving grace of this place.
We walked in at 830 for our reservation, and I could see it was quiet busy.
This was our first time and the check in booth was not obvious to us. All the servers and bus boys, including the elderly gentleman who works the check in stand, walked by us without greeting us. Thankfully the kind bartender said hi and explained we were in the right area.
The older guy seats us, no words spoken, no menus, no water…another couple gets seated 10 minutes after us.
20minutes later we were getting ready to leave when the server finally brings us drinks. He was also on his way to the other table just as they were about to leave.
This guy must be a new server and I really gave him the benefit of the doubt…because he then proceeded to serve the other table first.
Long story short, the server only took our order, also forgetting one dish I ordered, he didn’t explain the menu (I was the one who asked about the fish of the day) didn’t check to see how our food was, and didn’t even refill the damn waters. He didn’t deserve even the 10% tip we left but we gave him the benefit of the doubt of being a new server.
A must-go-to restaurant in Sacramento. Great for large parties as well as smaller intimate date nights. Do yourself a favor and order the ravioli. We had one order as an appetizer and a second for dessert!
We dined at Aioli Bodega Espanola because my daughter requested we have her birthday dinner here.
She made an excellent choice. The food was delicious and well presented. Our server was very helpful when making a wine selection and able to answer our questions about specials.
Most of all, I love the ambience of this restaurant.
It was a great dinner for celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary.
The food and drinks were great which added to an overall wonderful dining experience.
I had booked a reservation for our anniversary at this place. We showed up exactly 7 o clock and checked in for our reservation. We walked inside and waited about 10-15 mins to be greeted. Finally someone approached us and I believe it was the owner or manager of the place. I had told him that I had reservations at 7 for my 10 year wedding anniversary with my wife. The person that greeted us looked at me and my wife had the “what are you talking about “ face as if he was confused. Please note that I had booked this reservation through opentable and specifically noted that it was my anniversary and hopefully they can make this a great night for us. So then he said you know what I’m booked and the only thing I have is outside alll the way in the back next to the street. I was livid and didn’t want to ruin my time so I said let’s go and see it. My wife is irritated already as we are walking to the location where he said was available. It was the last table at the very end of the restaurant outside on the side walk. If I would’ve known this before, I would spend my $300 somewhere else or made the dinner at home myself with a better a Scenery. Food took a long time, loud motorcycles were driving all around the streets. Nothing special for the 10 year anniversary. Nothing. Overall it was a ok place but certainly not $300 worth. First and last time coming and letting others k I was well that there are more locations that are better and not as pricey.
Not good unfortunately and will totally disappoint
This restaurant is consistent, every time we eat here, the food is wonderful.
We had a delicious meal at the restaurant, and even though it was a bit warm sat outside on the street side tables. Which was mostly comfortable although fairly noisy and a lot of foot traffic wandering by….We didn’t have a hovering waitress, she was attentive but mostly left us to enjoy a family visit.
The area has A LOT of traffic, and looks like a busy urban area, there was a faint bit of bad sewer ish odor. I found out later that they had an interior courtyard where we could have been outside, but possibly more comfortable. However since we had a dog with us perhaps that wasn’t a possibility.
All said and done a lovely meal and happy new family memory! thank you, we will be back!
The restaurant is great but the owner is the one that sits you, it’s this old guy disheveled and unkempt ,kinda kills your appetite seeing who is showing you where to sit. He was also so sweaty with his shirt wet, stuch on his back.
Otherwise the rest of the staff are well groomed and decent and clean in uniforms.
Recommend the owner to let the staff do their job or he clean up a bit.
The food was excellent, but the air conditioning was not working and it was ungodly hot. So hot it made it hard to enjoy the food.
Delicious food and authentic Spanish menu. The paella was delicious as it should be since this is their specialty. They may want to consider an additional paella option with less shellfish (calamari and mussels). Some people can’t eat shellfish but want the other meats.
Always a great place for a business lunch. I love the salmon special my favorite!
Rather overpriced for the quality of the food. Stick to the paella.
Would have appreciated air conditioning inside, just too hot.
excellent food and drink second time there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The food was quite bland and the service was bland as well.
What a great place! Loved everything about our dinner and experience! Can’t wait to go back!
Great restaurant and overall vibes highly recommended
Always a pleasure!
Aioli Bodega is an excellent place for dinner with just about anybody. My wife and I have been there several times for our date nights and it never disappoints. Overall experience was awesome. Music, albeit interesting Spanish music, was a little loud. Don't forget dessert, the flan is the best.
Perfect experience for a Thursday date night with my wife!
Went for a birthday dinner midweek when things were starting to get more restrictive again. Obviously restaurants are experiencing shortages all the way around, and am trying to keep that in mind.
I wasn’t overly impressed with my dish; I thought the meat sauce could have been meatier but the sauce was tasty. My mom loved her ravioli and the charcuterie platter was a nice app. Beware, the olives have pits still in them.
The outside patio in the back is perfect for a mild evening, nice ambience; unfortunately, and to no fault of the restaurant, the front patio suffers a sewer type smell. Just try and sit in the rear if you prefer outdoor. The inside looked great, too.
Overall, an above average spot to take in a nice meal. Lots of options for seating and meals. Would recommend.
Cons: Food was very slow. Toast was kinda burnt.
Pros: amazing taste and ambience. Slow paced but wonderful
