Outstanding restaurant. Great food. Attentive service. One of the worlds great restaurants.
At the very least, the best restaurant in San Diego Im not very experimental when it comes to food. I’ve known about Addison for a long time due to Chef Bradley’s reputation. Nevertheless, Im a simple eater and wish I had a better palate. For that reason, I have been terrified in dining here. Yesterday was a special day for me so I wanted to do something special. After 10 years of wanting to try Addison, I had the courage to make a reservation. The elegance, the service, the presentation, the wines (Im a wino) was unforgettable. Ultimately, food is the impetus of any restaurant. I sat back and trusted the Chef to pick our courses. Most of the foods I tried for the first time. Im in awe that I ate the Coquilles St Jacques...probably the greatest combination of flavors Ive ever had Thank you Chef Bradley and your awesome staff for giving me the greatest dining experience Ive ever had.
Visit to San Diego
We tend to dine here around our anniversary in January. It has always been amazing, but this time was truly exceptional. We went for the chefs tasting which doesn’t have a typed menu and we love that because we are adventurous eaters. Don’t forget to ask for a wine pairing. Their sommelier is knowledgeable and picked some great wines for our meal. Not only was the food incredible, but the service wasn’t stuffy, yet still professional and they definitely tailored service to our needs. The staff overall, friendly, attentive and we had a blast with them. Still stands as our favorite restaurant we have visited!!
Amazing service and food. Tough to rate as “excellent” value at the price point, but definitely a fun splurge. The 10-course tasting menu may have spoiled us for all other tasting menu dining experiences.
Amazing ambience and amazing service. We had Matthew and he was on top of it. He went over and beyond for our group. It was my birthday and received a card from the chef! Then we were able to go check out the kitchen after dinner and the wine cellar. The food was so amazing. Beautiful work of art also. Will go again in the near future!
Amazing dining experience! Best ever!
Excellent experience. However no alacarte menu is not nice. Cheapest order is $110 per person and corkage fee is $75.
My husband and I celebrated my birthday at Addison. What a treat! We ordered the 8 course tasting menu and it was superb. The service was exemplary - attentive but not intrusive - and the pacing of the meal was perfect. We never felt rushed nor ignored. Each course was described and the flavors melded perfectly together. We arrived at 6:30pm and there were just a few filled tables but by 7:30pm the restaurant was full. The noise, even when full, was just moderate not noisy - perfect for a romantic dinner out.
Met our expectations
Great culinary experience. Top-notch service.
We went with another couple and had a delightful time. We asked for the set menu and had a 4 hour dining experience. The wait staff waited for us to finished a conversation (part of the 4 hours) before explaining each course (10 courses) but we never felt we were waiting for them.
The wait staff helped with our questions, appeared and disappeared quietly, timed their food presentation. It was a fun experience; not to be found very often. But it will lighten your wallet.
We had the Chef's tasting menu. It was truly superb. We've eaten at some of the best in LA, NYC and St. Helena, and this meal compared favorably. Creative use of textures and taste without overuse of butter and garlic. Several of the dishes were exquisite. Very pricey. Four people with almost no wine was $1300 with tip.
One of the best meals I have had. Absolutely great. Highly recommended.
Unsurpassed service and ambiance. We opted for the chef’s adventure. It was wonderful.
Three November birthday celebrations
Exceptional restaurant. Absolutely everything was perfect - food, service, and ambiance. We could not have picked a better place to celebrate our anniversary.
Best in SD and Michelin quality xxxxxxccccccccccccccccccccccccc
Always loved Addison, the new cobbled egg is so good.
Perfect dining experience delightful staff impeccable food!
Addison was elegant and special. The meal was one we will remember for a long time to come.
Fantastic food, great service and good atmosphere.
I chose here to celebrate my birthday. The service and food is impressive. Highly recommend.
Outstanding, Like been in a 1 or 2 star Michelin rated Restaurant. I don’t say a 3 star because it took them quite some time between each course. But the food was excellent. Recommended
One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Everyone from the valet to the wait staff provide personalized service and ensure the diners comfort. The 10 course tasting menu was superb - innovative use of ingredients with beautiful presentation.
Offered a choice of 10 or 4 courses. Weren’t allowed to see the menus until we had decided which one we wanted!
The meal was spoiled as the room was extremely cold! Asked for the AC to be turned down twice!
Wasn’t overly impressed with the food for the price we paid.
Always the perfect dining experience. Food is outstanding and beautifully presented, and the service is unparalleled!
Amazing time. My husband and I had the Chef Tasting Menu and it was spectacular. So happy we tried it. Just wonderful.
Fantastic meal and services, and very accommodating to our urgent requests. My family and I will go back again soon.
Perfect service in a grand setting with fabulous food, tasting menu of small portion but quite tasty and innovative. The overall experience is truly enjoyable and would rate it as the best spot in the San Diego area.
although michelin does not rate restaurants in san diego, i agree with others that addison would merit at least one if not three stars if they did. the service was delightful and welcoming, not stuffy as can be found at some high end restaurants. the sommelier assisted with champagne and sauterne selections and provided a card indicating the producer and vintage so i could find some more at a retail store.
Everything about our experience was amazing. Will definitely try.
Fabulous - but $$$
Great service, amazing food, extensive wine selection - excellent pairings!
One of the most amazing dining experiences we have had. The service was impeccable from the greeting at the door until the farewells. Food amazing, wine pairings spectacular. Service was unreal, friendly efficient and elegant. One of our top 10 dining experiences ever.
everything was spectacular expect for the actual table, we had a party of 7 and they accommodated with a big round table much too big for my liking. Otherwise, wonderful evening.
After living in Paris for 2.5 years, we finally found a restaurant that satisfied our craving for authentic French cuisine. Addison met and exceeded all expectations.
Incredible experience!!! We went with the 10-course chef’s choice. So good but so much food! Our service Jason was great and the service was top notch!
We regret going to Club M afterwards but dinner was amazing!
Wow, what an incredible experience! From beginning to end my husband and I felt like royalty. The chef's tasting menu was exquisite, as was the wine pairing. While pricey, it was worth it! I plan to come back and enjoy this again for my birthday in March. This is an absolute must culinary journey!
There are good restaurants and there are excellent ones. Addison is definitely the latter! From our arrival to the box of cookies at departure, the service was exquisite. Our waiter, Jason, was professional and friendly - he even gave us a tour of the kitchen. Every course of the ‘Chef’s Tasting Menu’ was masterfully presented and fabulously prepared. The wine selection of nearly 100 pages specialized in smaller, less known boutique wines. The atmosphere was elegant and festive. I don’t say this easily, but this is the best dinner experience to be had in San Diego! This experience will set you back a pretty penny, but it is totally worth it! Can’t wait to return.
