The food was incredible, but the entire experience—the service, the atmosphere—of dinner was absolutely amazing. With advance notice, they were able to accommodate my guest’s seafood allergy and seemed pleased to do so. Would highly recommend.
Food was delicious and staff was friendly and helpful. Already planning to come back!
The 10 courses were good but i’d say a tad less original and creative than an equivalent 1-star restaurant in Europe and a LOT more expensive. About twice the price. We have dined at a Joel Robuchon 3- star restaurant in Honk Kong that was less expensive.
The service was perfect and we had a great evening.
Fantastic. Meal to remember
Wow! I feel like a million bucks dining here. the food and service were like nothing I have experienced in San Diego. It is on the high-end pricing but it is well worth it for the thought and quality service each person at this restaurant provides. I dont recommend taking and children or people who dont appreciate the art of food here, it'd be a waste.
We had the choice of pescatarian or regular and between 5 or 10 courses, we went all out. Definitely more than enough for the eyes, the feels, and the tummy!
The service was superb. The food was, without a doubt, the most unique and wonderful we had ever experienced.
Our waiter gets our highest praise. Informative, helpful, all that one could wish.
We shall return.
Great experience! We woke up the next day still thinking about it. We had an outstanding 10 course tasting and 8 wine pairing. I’ve been to a number of Michelin restaurants and Addison is worthy of 2 stars in my humble opinion.
For a one star Michelin restaurant we found the menu uneven. There were very high highs but also some meh dishes. We also felt the menu flow needed work as it seemed to not truly flow.
Amazing experience at Addison! Can’t wait to go back again!
Very expensive but the food was amazing. FYI for a part of two we paid $807 with tip and that included two Champaigns two non alcoholic drinks and one wine.
We wanted to love Addison. We have enjoyed haute cuisine from around the world, and Addison just did not measure up. Definitely not worth the cost.
Made reservations and noted a shellfish allergy a month ahead, but instead of getting a different course, the person with the allergy just received it without the fish. Example - one person is having caviar with sauce over risotto; other gets just risotto. (One course did substitute tofu for cod). This made for an odd experience - one person is trying to enjoy the caviar, but feels bad that the other person is not.
We planned for the ten course. The upsell as soon as we sat down felt tacky. Upsell to “luxury” menu, wine pairings, luxury wine pairings, additional bottle of wine, etc. Without disclosing prices. In the end, we did the 10 course luxury menu with a wine pairing. $1551 before tip for 2 people. If it had been an extraordinary experience I would say it was expensive but that’s what you pay for.
Food was hit or miss. First 2 courses well done! Squab was very under cooked and quite grainy. Disappointing.
Waygu was excellent, as was the bread. The chips were fun. The other courses were good, but not over the top.
Service was also not to expectation. The staff were nice but at least 3 times set out glasses, came and took them back. During the meal - at least 3 times - staff put silverware down for the next course while we were still eating the current course. Felt odd and rushed.
Upsold on a bottle of wine bottled the year we were married. Cute idea. Told us would be $100 for half bottle. They did the pours, and then took the bottle. Just as well. Wine was not decanted and had sediment in the glass, so didn’t enjoy it. They did notice that and removed the charge from our bill.
Like I said, we wanted to love Addison, but it was just not meant to be.
Absolutely amazing experience. This is the first dining in San Diego. We have been to multiple Michelin restaurants around the world and this restaurant is better.
I am a very very picky eater and I was able to taste and enjoy the experience.
Chef accommodated by food preferences.
It was a lovely evening
One of the most amazing meals of my life. Very expensive, but worth it for such an experience.
It was very wonderful experience with Addison for our friend’s birthday. Food is great, the service is exceptional.
I make sure to come to Addison whenever I am in San Diego. I absolutely love it here, as the food and service are always top notch. Had the 5-course tasting menu and each course so fabulous that I couldn't pick a favorite. Be assured I will be back on my visit to San Diego next year.
Awesome place to have dinner !
This is our 4th visit to Addison and will come again when in San Diego. Amazing food creations, beautiful place, and excellent service.
Amazing!! Every time it is absolutely amazing!! The service, the food, the ambience, AMAZING!!
This was an amazing experience from the beginning to the end. We were taken from our hotel Fairmont with a BMW X7 and greeted at the door of the restaurant. The staff was extremely kind. Everything has a harmont and coreography. We picked the 10course meal because we wanted the full experience - so glad we did! If you go there you might as well splurge and get the full experience. We did not get a wine pairing, we had our own wine with $110 corkage fee. It was worth it since the wine list very pricey. The food was amazing from 1 to 10 and its amazing how Chef William created wonders in each dish. Chef William is a gem and he is a wonderful chef. We were happy to meet with him. The dishes are very small but its very filling and I was extremely full at the end of the 10 courses.
The one Michelin star is a recognition for Addison, but it does not justify the food, service, atmosphere, and everything. I mean, this is a great example of how bad Michelin's judging system is. How is one star even enough? I say Michelin is BS. Been to quite a few 1's and 2's in LA and 2's and 3's in Hong Kong. Addison deserves a 3 AT LEAST. The best dinning experience one can get in SoCal. If you get to choose between the 5-course and the 10-course, go for the 10-course because it is a crime to miss anything from this restaurant. You don't want to regret your choice.
My partner and I both agreed that this was the best meal we’ve ever had. That first dish on the 10 course was fantastic! Everything was exceptional and they didn’t miss a single detail. The service and food stand out the most. Everyone was kind and professional. The service is even coordinated down to the second, meaning that your water is poured together, food is served together, etc. Which also means that we were 1:1+ with most of our servers, with one other designated person to walk us through most and answer questions. The location and Juliet balconies are also stunning. The only thing that threw us was the service is so impeccable that you do feel a bit as though you’re being watched (because, frankly, you are in order to get service like this). I don’t think there’s much they can change with that, but we did notice it.
Overall it was amazing! We will definitely come back next time we’re in town!
P.S. - get the wagyu if it’s on the menu!
Everything was perfect! The selections, the Malbec, the Krug, the service — it was all fantastic! I don’t think they should have charged me extra for the Wagyu beef— the 10-course meal was already pretty pricey, but other than that, it was all worthwhile. When I have another occasion in San Diego, I will return
This was a fantastic meal. Everything about it was perfect. The choreography service was spectacular. Prepare to spend a bundle but enjoy every bite and every sip. We got the five course meal and it was plenty of food. The wine pairing was excellent and the sommelier was very informative about the wines. In short this was an amazing meal!
Everything was amazing. Only complaint was the wine pairing was steep.
Outstanding dinner with impeccable service
The food, service, setting, wines were exquisite! The 5 courses with ‘extras’ in between were inventive, delicious and just beautiful. What a very special evening.
This was an amazing and unforgettable experience. They say 5 courses, but the starter and desert have around 5 different small bites. Will never forget and will 100% visit again!
Love everything about Addison- service, staff, food, experience. Thank you Sarah and Ian especially! Amazing evening!!
Wonderful time, wonderful service, stellar food and wine, and the fantastic view. Will come again soon!
The experience was nothing short of spectacular. We were well taken care of from the moment we arrived to the moment we were leaving. The food was excellent, and the staff was incredibly professional and friendly. We will definitely go back.
This was our first experience to a Michelin Star rated restaurant. It was an amazing experience and we came away impressed. Chef William Bradley is the man! Look forward to go hear a different time of year to experience a completely new menu! In addition the wine paring was on point. Tried different wines and regions I was not accustomed too. The service was a choreographed symphony!
Wonderful service, wonderful food! Highly recommend!
We did not care for the main course which was rare , tough squab.
We did not eat this as I never think rate poultry is safe and it wasn’t good anyway. Although we expressed our disappointment with is main course , no other course was substituted and there was no adjustment to the bill.
Otherwise the food was interesting and wonderful.
Service was phenomenal and setting/ ambiance hard to beat .
Perfect setting, service, and 10-course meal, artfully and deliciously designed!
A fantastic meal and impeccable service! Thank you to all for an exquisite evening. - Matthew Griffith
Just WOW! The seating arrangements they have due to the COVID tier restrictions was great!!! You get a view of the golf course along with the hot air balloons in the distance going up and down.
Our reservations were at 6 PM and the weather was perfect. You can expect a little chill since the coast isn’t too far but the way they had their patio heaters setup, it didn’t even feel cold.
Service was flawless! Well organized and choreographed to the “T”! You went to the bathrooms, there was a service staff standing near to show you where it is. You come back to your table, they are there to greet you back and push in you chair. Like I said...their service was flawless! They were always there ready to serve.
The food was delicious! Presentation of the food was beautiful and elegant. The service staff explained every dish to you so you’re not sitting their guessing. The flavors coming from each dish were mind blowing. We would almost dissect each dish to guess the flavors for each item and it was a fun challenge for me and the missus. We still talk about the food to this day!
We are definitely coming back!!! Such a beautiful place and great food!
Best experience ever! We did the 10 course tasting menu, so creative and such unique and delicious flavors. The service was the best I have ever experienced. The whole dinner was incredible!
