Every dining experience at Addison has always been perfection, that's why we keep going back. The food is amazingly delicious and the service is flawless.
Sean there was our host and did a great job! I would highly recommend it!
The 3 of us agreed this was the best dining experience ever. The food was amazing and we were treated like royalty. It was a perfect celebration of our granddaughter’s 18th birthday and send-off to college. I would highly recommend Addison for your most special occasions.
Excellent service with world class food. Staff spends the time to throughly describe each course and the sommelier discusses each pairing in great detail. Bring your wallet and prepare for the meal of a lifetime.
The staff are outstanding - truly 5 star service from everyone on site.
The chefs tasting menu is not to be missed - add the wine pairings and you have an experience second to none.
Unparalleled cuisine, service and ambiance. A truly remarkable gem in San Diego.
Each serving, and there are many, are a work of art. Flavors and food pairings are consistently creative, regardless of season.
Service is orchestrated like a synchronized dance.
Each visit is uniquely memorable.
It’s a great fine dining restaurant that’s rare to find in San Diego. Service was great throughout the meal and has an attentive touch to most things during the meal. On the food side we decided to do the 10 course tasting menu and overall it’s a great choice. The meal began with some of the most amazing appetizers we have tasted in fine dining restaurants. The scallops was exceptionally wonderful. The entrees were equally great but the quality declined after the last entree was served. The pastry portion of the entire meal needs some serious improvement. The bread selection is lacking and I would disagree with serving a brioche style bread with an already dish. Having more variety would be more desirable. The desserts were okay but definitely not at the same level as the rest of the meal.
Overall the meal was exceptional but the pastry portion could have been improved.
It was perfect way to end the week.
The service, unparalleled.
Can't wait to come back.
Another amazing evening! We love this restaurant every time we go! We’ve been to Per Se, Gramercy Tavern, and many Michelin star restaurants in France, Spain, Austria and Addison continues to be in our top three in the world.
I finally made it here and it was a wow! The service, the food, and the presentation was exceptional. This restaurant deserves a Michelin star so hopefully Michelin will include SoCal in the near future.
Great food, great wine, great service in a beautiful setting
What not to like
What you want from a fine dining experience.
Addison is the most outstanding restaurant on the West Coast. The chef is incredibly creative and the wine list is extensive. The setting is elegant and the wait staff are superb! There is no downside to this restaurant.
The food was just not our cup of tea and VERY expensive. I certainly don't mind paying for a good meal, but to my wife and i this was not it.
Always a phenomenal experience. Unparalleled service, ambiance, and cuisine.
Incredible start to finish. Awesome combination of service, food presentation, taste, and wine pairings. At one point we had to slow down the servings - we chose the 10 course tasting menu. But otherwise everything was perfect.
Exceptional, world class service and tasting menu. Probably one of the best dining experiences we’ve had.
We celebrated our 20 year anniversary here. The restaurant itself is exquisite, probably the most beautiful restaurant I've ever been to. I just wasn't that crazy about the food, though my husband loved everything he ordered. Too much soft fish in clear broth and a dessert that didn't come together. For our 25th we'll probably stick with our favorite, Kai in Chandler AZ. They feature native american inspired cuisine and to me the skill level of the chef at Kai is such that when he wants each bite to be perfection for you, he comes very close to actually achieving it.
Absolutely wonderful. Best dining experience I’ve had in years. Expertly crafted tasting menu where one course was better than the previous one. Highest recommendations!
The Duck was Outstanding
All I can say is WOW. I have never been to a restaurant with such great service. Spectacular is the word that comes to mind. The food is French with a modern twist. Very expensive, but a one of a kind experience. We did the 4 course meal, there is a 10 course one as well. The 4 course was plenty of food even though the portions are small (remember, it is French food). They have an extensive wine selection, we ordered a bottle for $65.00. The prices for the wine range widely, but the bottle we ordered was very good. Some are upwards of $2,000 a bottle! A beautiful place, probably the only restaurant in San Diego that has a dress code. Jackets for the men are a must. I've been to the Marine Room and Mr A's and although they have a dress code, I've never seen it enforced. I've seen people in jeans at those places. Not sure if they would enforce it here either, but I would feel out of place without the jacket. Nice dresses for the ladies. Great for an Anniversary celebration, Valentines day, any special occasion.
We wanted to treat my sister and brother-in-law to a memorable high-end meal that they would never otherwise experience on their own. Addison was perfect. We had the 4-course option and all aspects, food, service, and ambiance, were great. We chose a less expensive wine but it was very good.
The service is incredible. Dinner for 4 people with 1 bottle of average wine was $1450 with tip. We had the chef choice. Half of the dishes served we did not like. The service and ambiance were great but the price is way out of line with the quality and taste of the food.
Really good but also really expensive.
Lovely property and a well appointed interior make dining here enjoyable. The food was superb. The tasting menu is going to cost more than comparable places like COI, Catbird Seat or Kanlis.
The tasting menu with the wine paring is always an exceptional experience. Not to be missed!!
Outstanding restaurant. Great food. Attentive service. One of the worlds great restaurants.
At the very least, the best restaurant in San Diego Im not very experimental when it comes to food. I’ve known about Addison for a long time due to Chef Bradley’s reputation. Nevertheless, Im a simple eater and wish I had a better palate. For that reason, I have been terrified in dining here. Yesterday was a special day for me so I wanted to do something special. After 10 years of wanting to try Addison, I had the courage to make a reservation. The elegance, the service, the presentation, the wines (Im a wino) was unforgettable. Ultimately, food is the impetus of any restaurant. I sat back and trusted the Chef to pick our courses. Most of the foods I tried for the first time. Im in awe that I ate the Coquilles St Jacques...probably the greatest combination of flavors Ive ever had Thank you Chef Bradley and your awesome staff for giving me the greatest dining experience Ive ever had.
Visit to San Diego
We tend to dine here around our anniversary in January. It has always been amazing, but this time was truly exceptional. We went for the chefs tasting which doesn’t have a typed menu and we love that because we are adventurous eaters. Don’t forget to ask for a wine pairing. Their sommelier is knowledgeable and picked some great wines for our meal. Not only was the food incredible, but the service wasn’t stuffy, yet still professional and they definitely tailored service to our needs. The staff overall, friendly, attentive and we had a blast with them. Still stands as our favorite restaurant we have visited!!
Amazing service and food. Tough to rate as “excellent” value at the price point, but definitely a fun splurge. The 10-course tasting menu may have spoiled us for all other tasting menu dining experiences.
Amazing ambience and amazing service. We had Matthew and he was on top of it. He went over and beyond for our group. It was my birthday and received a card from the chef! Then we were able to go check out the kitchen after dinner and the wine cellar. The food was so amazing. Beautiful work of art also. Will go again in the near future!
Amazing dining experience! Best ever!
Excellent experience. However no alacarte menu is not nice. Cheapest order is $110 per person and corkage fee is $75.
My husband and I celebrated my birthday at Addison. What a treat! We ordered the 8 course tasting menu and it was superb. The service was exemplary - attentive but not intrusive - and the pacing of the meal was perfect. We never felt rushed nor ignored. Each course was described and the flavors melded perfectly together. We arrived at 6:30pm and there were just a few filled tables but by 7:30pm the restaurant was full. The noise, even when full, was just moderate not noisy - perfect for a romantic dinner out.
Met our expectations
Great culinary experience. Top-notch service.
We went with another couple and had a delightful time. We asked for the set menu and had a 4 hour dining experience. The wait staff waited for us to finished a conversation (part of the 4 hours) before explaining each course (10 courses) but we never felt we were waiting for them.
The wait staff helped with our questions, appeared and disappeared quietly, timed their food presentation. It was a fun experience; not to be found very often. But it will lighten your wallet.
We had the Chef's tasting menu. It was truly superb. We've eaten at some of the best in LA, NYC and St. Helena, and this meal compared favorably. Creative use of textures and taste without overuse of butter and garlic. Several of the dishes were exquisite. Very pricey. Four people with almost no wine was $1300 with tip.
