    It was Clayton Restaurant week. We always participate in this in January and in July. My husband‘s shrimp rigatoni was so spicy he could not taste the flavor of the fish. My halibut was over done. The tiramisu was delicious. And the lobster bisque in the heirloom tomato salad Were good. Just disappointing as this is one of our favorite restaurants in town.

    Food was fresh and came out just perfectly scheduled. One thing I would change, put something else at the bar's TV besides sports like boxing!

    Service was good but the food was too spicy for me after I said I could not do anything spicy. Not sure what was in the clam chowder but I couldn’t eat it. The octopus itself was fair but the base they put it on was too spicy. I have an autoimmune disease that prevents me from eating spicy so I specifically ask before ordering. The Parmesan oysters were very good. I would not go back.

    Used to be a favorite for years. Something happened. Two of us ordered linguine and clams. It came out as linguine Alfredo. Very cheesey with 6 clams whose flavor was overwhelmed by the sauce. Most linguine with clams I have ever had was olive oil and garlic. Very boring dish. The calamari appetizer was great and the broccolini and Brussels sprouts sides were great. Frankly I am not inclined to return any time soon if at all given the prices and confused preparation of the clam dish.

    Cocktails outstanding! Service exceptional with Bear (as usual). Food great; fried lobster unusually good. Ambience relaxed and people friendly. Consistency good!

    Service and food was excellent. Sunday dinner menu is excellent and reasonably priced. Love this restaurant!

    The food was beautifully prepared and presented. The atmosphere felt more like Miami than St Louis, chic and cosmopolitan. The staff were all incredible and helpful without being an interruption. The real stand out when it came to the staff was Delbert. He was attentive, personable and could go in-depth when discussing the dishes.

    Food was good but not great. The octopus was a bit over cooked (sadly too common in the USA). Other appetizers and our salads were tasty, but once again good but not great. On a very positive note, absolute best dirty martinis I’ve had in years. We’ll be back 👍🏼

    801 Fish Review – A Memorable 16th Anniversary Celebration My wife and I dined at 801 Fish to celebrate our 16th anniversary, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. As someone who isn’t a huge seafood fan, I was a bit skeptical, but my wife, a seafood enthusiast, was thrilled to try this place. The restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. I opted for the prime filet mignon, and it was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The dish was elevated with a topping of king crab and asparagus, which added a delightful richness. The accompanying potatoes and green beans were also perfectly cooked, rounding out an exceptional plate. My wife chose the sea bass, which she raved about. It arrived piping hot, so tender it was practically falling apart, and she couldn’t stop talking about how much she loved it. We started with a shared Caesar salad, which was fresh, crisp, and delicious. My wife also had the oysters as an appetizer, and they were a highlight. The oysters were beautifully presented and came with a variety of sauces that allowed her to customize each bite, which she thoroughly enjoyed. For drinks, she sipped on a couple of glasses of wine, while I had a few Yuenglings—both paired nicely with our meal. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was professional, courteous, and attentive without being overbearing. The manager even stopped by to check on us, which added a personal touch to the evening. We were seated by a window with a lovely view, which made the ambiance even more special. The valet service was seamless, getting us in and out without any hassle. Overall, 801 Fish delivered an unforgettable dining experience. From the outstanding food and presentation to the top-notch service and atmosphere, everything was perfect. We can’t wait to return for another special occasion—or maybe just because! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fantastic seafood (or steak) experience.

    Excellent cocktails and service, all courtesy of Roberto. Great food (fried lobster to start and lobster risotto as entree). Great atmosphere and very friendly and attentive staff.
