Amazing dinner experience. The steak was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, cooked to perfection, and simply delicious. In addition to a fabulous strip steak, we enjoyed oysters, calamari, scalloped potatoes, lobster mac and cheese, creamed spinach, and mashed potatoes. I appreciated the complimentary dessert for my birthday too—their cheesecake is fabulous! Service was top notch too!

My daughter and I both got the 6oz filet Sunday dinner. Smallest steak ever, around 3 ounces. I usually order 6 ounce filets so I know exactly how much it is. Potatoes Luke warm with a thin skin on top.

Oysters Rockefeller and Spring salad were great. My husband said his filet was perfect and I would agree with my surf and turf. Dave D is always so personable and a terrific server. We drive an hour for dinner and enjoy happy hour on other days when in St Louis for errands. We really appreciate the bar staff on those days. Thank you to front staff and back of house, too.

The overall experience was excellent and the food was wonderful. We had a rib eye, surf n turf and a pork chop and all were great. Plus the soufflé- awesome. We were originally going to be seated at a table. It was very noisy and the restaurant was not full ( Weds at 6). We asked to be moved to a booth which cut down on the noise. Bob was our waiter- great job.

Great food but service that night was way too pushy and the presentation was rapid-fire with too little time to absorb. I generally don’t object to the performance as you have an extensive offering and it can be helpful. But our server lost interest in our table after realizing we knew what we wanted and he couldn’t boost our order to extreme pricing. 801 Fish doesn’t do that and is more relaxing and less irritating.

Service was prompt. food was very good. Not sure my 16 oz ribeye was really 16 oz's. (Maybe before it was dry aged), but it was very good. Asparagus was supposed to be grilled, but saw no grill marks. Still it was cooked well. Complimentary birthday dessert was chocolate cake and was delicious.

Our server Gustavo was incredible! He paced the meal so well, made great suggestions, and never let our drinks go empty. He definitely added to the overall experience. The food was impeccable and the steak was divine. we can't wait to come back.
