419 West

We were a table of four and have all been to 419 West before but as usual it was a great time! The staff, food, and atmosphere were all top notch as we come to expect from 419 West and we look forward to a return outing there soon.

419 West closed for several weeks during the pandemic. It recently resumed dining room service with its recently-updated menu. I am particularly fond of the Mahi Mahi entree, and I was eager to order it once again. 419 didn't disappoint; the fish was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious.

Took my Dad and his wife there for Dinner. They have never been and enjoyed it very much.

Food was good. Expensive with extremely small portions. If you like to eat this isn’t the place if you wanna eat. Maybe the place if you wanna overpay and be trendy.

Excellent service with polite and helpful staff. My ribs were so tender I couldn’t even stab them with a fork. Incredible! Definitely recommend if you’re interested in some great and affordable food.

Nice sitting outside with the fans turned on. A little loud with others nearby showing videos on their phone.

Dining or lunching at 419 is typically a positive experience! We were seated on the patio, as requested, and even on a very hot evening, we were comfortable with a nice ceiling fan breeze. Our service was excellent, food delicious and we had a very enjoyable evening!!

Food was good. Service was good till we turned down dessert. Had a hard time getting the waitress again for the check. Had to ask the girl cleaning tables to get her attention

One of my favorite restaurants! I’ve never had a bad experience here and would happily recommend to everyone I know.

Our server was unable to answer basic questions related to the number of ounces of meat/fish in an entree and appetizer. She said the appetizer included 8 ounces, when in reality it was 4.
I asked to speak with the manager but instead, she approached the chef, who sent out additional tuna because “you were unhappy with the serving size”. The manager apologized for her error and managed the miscommunication well.
The food is always fabulous so we will return.

Prices are unnecessary higher than they need to be but the meal was still very good in a very nice atmosphere.

The food and atmosphere was excellent but the service was very slow, took a while before we were acknowledged by waitress.

In all fairness it was an ok place to dine. We traveled about 45 minutes to dine there and will not do that again. Our server was good but we felt because we were not a familiar face they tried to seat us at a bad table (behind the hostess stand near the drafty door). We had made reservations and the place more than half empty. We requested a better table and got one. The hostess did not give us a wine/drink list or the Valentines special menu. The food was average; for us, not worth the 45 minute drive. As a neighborhood bar I am sure it is loved.

It was the first time I got their pizza. It was amazing. I would go back there for pizza.

First time eating there while visiting my son. Enjoyed the meal. Had reservations and was right on time getting seated. Bar area was super crowded due to some special event but not a problem.

It was New Year's Eve-- maybe they stepped-up their game for the holidays? I don't know, but the food was vastly superior to past experiences. Husband had the filet ditto, my salad. Also, the blue point oysters were outstanding.

Food was very good and service was great. Easy parking. Did not try desert. I will be going back. Great variety of food offered.

I ordered the diver scallops with a scoop of lump crab and a few shrimp over grits. Was very disappointed in the plating...all mushed together. Two small scallops were disappointing.
We ordered shrimp cocktails that were not up to par. Leaves of basil around the glass and cocktail sauced over them and shrimp around the glass rim. The green leaves were brown and I pulled them out of the glass.
For a pricey meal....not good.

419 is a great place to go for good food, good environment with REALLY good service

Because the kitchen is almost an “open concept” with the dining area and the tables are pretty close together-with some of them pretty crowded-it’s not a quiet getaway. However the ambiance is nice and the setting is classy.

Regarding the food; nothing has ever been bad - and the Thanksgiving buffet was exceptional - but, for the price, nothing really stands out. My wife & I have had 2 different pasta dishes that tasted almost the same and pizza that was good but not great. 419 has a chicken tenders appetizer that is excellent.

Our service has always been excellent. Very friendly associates that checked on us regularly without being over-reaching.

We generally enjoy dining at 419 West but the most recent experience was disappointing. Food took too long to come out and then it was cold for several in our party. We were given deserts as an apology and even that was botched. Our server seemed overwhelmed.

In town for an early holiday weekend with family. Eight of us went to 419 - truly exceptional service and food... steaks, seafood, everything was perfect! Will definitely be back!!!

Wine was brought to our table 20 minutes after ordering, upon delivery of wine waitress had no clue how to serve the wine , the seafood trio lacked what we sought for dinner and that was the diver scallops had none substituted oysters instead, and our appetizer with pimento cheese was still frozen in center the homemade chips tasted as if there were made the day before.

Looks like a fine dining establishment but there is a lot to be desired. Waitstaff was subpar, didn’t check to make sure we even had enough silverware and appetizer plates. Multiple dishes excessively salty. Just ok. Not sure I would return.

The food on the Thanksgiving buffet was excellent. Well prepared and flavorful. The only reason for deducting stars was service. The clueless hostesses had no idea what was going on and it took a long time to finally have a server take our drink order and bring us silverware. There seemed to be too many of the staff just standing around while the restaurant was busy. The service is an issue each time we go for lunch or dinner.

My wife we’re coming back here next year.

Not only was the price-point equal to or better than other places, the food was GREAT! We expected getting what we usually et at a Thanksgiving buffet, a lot of cafeteria-tasting food. Not here. Not only were there more items to choose from than expected, THEY TASTED HOMEMADE and delightful! And our waitress acted like a party host, not a person forced to work on a holiday!

I marked noise as moderate, but I did not expect a Thanksgiving crowd to be quiet, but it really was not real noisy.

Thank you 419 West for an excellent Thanksgiving meal that left us hurting but with a big smile on our faces!

I have visited 419 West several times. I love the atmosphere, like a big loud party with everyone having fun. I was there with my family for my birthday, and we enjoyed the employees seating us, and our waitress was cordial and nice. We had drinks, an appetizer, and a bottle of wine. All were very good. My wife and I ordered the strip steaks, and the others a filet, and pasta dinners. I do not complain in restaurants, I am not a whiner. However the strip steak I received was the worst cut of meat I have gotten in an eatery in years. I t was fatty, stringy, and literally could not be cut with the steak knife. I took it home for dog, I could not cut it here either. Otherwise we all had a great time, the rest of the food was good, and I appreciated the birthday dessert. I do not take these things out on a waitress and tipped my usual 20 %. Hoping this was just a fluke on this night. Thanks, for listenening Lee

May once have been a "Grande Dam" however has fallen. Decor is dated, food was over cooked, my pork chop was so dry needed water just to eat.

Service started out good but after drinks and bread was served it took 35-40min to get our meal. When it did arrive, it wasn’t hot. On the salmon plate, the corn side was hot but the salmon was room temp. We try to eat local when we travel but we were disappointed in this experience.

help my lady friend get her drink the way she like it.food was good and hot,our table wasn't rush,wastress kept a smile all the time during her service to us.

This is the 2nd time I received an over charbroiled steak. My steak was medium and tasted like it was burnt. This was my 2nd try and now I’m done. It’s wasn’t worth it. The service was great but food leaves something to be desired. No need to complain because it was same as last time :(.

We enjoyed our meal and the service was exceptionally good! Josh is so attentive and has amazing tableside manner. We will definitely be back!
