A word from Zazie

Zazie is a neighborhood French bistro in Cole Valley specializing in the country cooking of Southern France. The well heated garden patio is a delightful place to enjoy a casual, relaxed meal with friends and family. Our menu is seasonal, featuring slow braised rabbit, cassoulet, grilled fresh fish,… and a variety of vegetarian options. Zazie invites dog lovers to bring their pup to dinner on the patio on Monday nights (weather permitting) and take $10 off any bottle of wine on our list. Tuesday nights are no corkage nights; bring as many bottles as you can gracefully handle! We are famous for our American style brunch seven days/ week as well, although reservations are not accepted for brunch. Continued

"Although the food is terrific, Zazie is let down by the service. There is warning on the menu that food delivery can be slow, so as usual we go prepared. But it took time for us to be approached, and then the food delivery did not get coordinated. Some of us were waiting for cooked appetizer items well after the cold ones were served. Fortunately, this "slow" scenario gave the six of us time to catch up on our news..."

"Zazie is a small and intimate place to eat. The staff is very accommodating and will to make you staff very enjoyable. My wife and I had their price fixed option. Even though the menu stated smaller portions with the price fix order, it was plenty of food to even have some left over."

"This has been my husband and I's favorite brunch spot for years and just Friday tried it for dinner. It was outstanding!! I had the duck and my husband had the rabbit, we were both in heaven. Our waiter was so nice and tentative. Made great recommendations for both the entree and wine selection. I wish I would have got his name but alas I did not. I really want to have a private party there now that I know they do that. Still my favorite place to go to in SF!"

"Seven of us came to celebrate my son and his buddy's 16th birthday and Zazie did not disappoint(it's my son's favorite restaurant.) The food(french onion soup and duck for almost everyone) was delicious and our waiter was delightful. We will, of course, be back!"

"Service was much friendlier this time. I felt that the steelhead trout was just a little under seasoned, but my husband thought it was very good. The French onion soup is the best ever! Unfortunately, the price keeps us from coming more often, but judging by the number of people pouring in, most don't mind."

"wonderfrul service, gave great suggestions, perfect pace. coq au vin with root veg.and mushrooms over fettichini in a savory sauce $19 meat braised for hours was succulent and fell off the bone the essence of value.cassoulet $21 perfectly cooked duck leg, moist and satisfying as was the entire dish tempted to lick the bowl. the hot chocolate dessert, which is chocolate cake in a cup, with a generous moulton center ( yum ) is topped with melted marshmellows is good enuf to give the most ardent chocolate lover goosebumps.
