Diner Reviews
  • "Great service, beautiful view of Evergreen Lake and absolutely fantastic food! I can't wait to go again!"

  • "This is a fabulous place for locals to have a great dinner or visitors from Denver to take a drive for Sunday brunch. The menu is creative and tasty. Willow Creek overlooks Evergreen lake, and we cannot wait to come back when the weather is warm and sit out on their deck."

  • "We love going to Willow Creek, it is one of our favorite restaurants. And as usual, Willow Creek did not disappoint. The fish specials were amazing - wonderfully prepared and flavorful. Willow Creek makes an effort to always provide fresh specials in addition to their seasonal menu, so there is always something new to try. The staff are so friendly and helpful, from the hostess, to the server, to the owner - they all make you you feel incredibly welcome. The location and scenery is the best in Evergreen, as the restaurant overlooks the lake. We are looking forward to warmer weather again so that we can enjoy dinning back out on their patio! Five stars all the way for another wonderful meal!"

  • "We tried Willow Creek for a date night this past weekend and had the most fantastic experience! We were seated away from a window but still had a fantastic view of the lake and the restaurant was so charming. There was even a herd of elk that came by and were playing in the lake during dinner. Our waiter was wonderful and gave us great recommendations. I had the rabbit dish and it exceeded expectations. We will definitely be going back when the weather gets warmer so we can try the patio."

  • "We frequent the WC often and appreciate the restaurants effort to provide variety and reliability of good quality dining experience."

  • "First, the owner and her staff made us feel at home. Our waitress was fun, but professional and efficient. The wine list is a great read with very reasonable prices. How often do you find a Petit Chablis on the menu? The mussels and cockles appetizer was superb...watch the salt...and so were the braised rabbit papardelles. The trout preparation was unusual. A most enjoyable evening!!"

  • "My husband and I had dinner at Willow Creek during a recent visit to Colorado. This family owned restaurant is worth the trip to Evergreen. The staff was friendly and our server, Sierra, was pleasant, and knowledgeable about the menu. The pace of the meal was perfect. The dishes were served in a timely manner and we were not rushed. We tried the abalone appetizer with stir fried vegetables in a sauce with a hint of wasabi, and the braised rabbit pasta entree. Both dishes were delicious! The ambiance was relaxing and we had a beautiful view of Evergreen Lake. We will definitely dine at Willow Creek again on our next trip to Colorado!"

  • "I have had many dinners here, both inside and on the deck overlooking the Sea of Evergreen. New Years Eve was especially good!"

  • "Every meal we have had has been excellent! Brunch, romantic valentines day to special birthday celebrations we have always had an excellent meal, great service and atmosphere. We recommend all the time to others!!"

  • "Loved the location and the quiet romantic feel. The wine list was very inviting and the food was absolutely some of the best we have tasted for long time. The roasted beet salad was so crisp and delicious. We are looking forward to returning during warmer weather and having a meal on the irresistible patio overlooking Evergreen Lake. We discovered Willow Creek while looking at the list for restaurant week and a birthday celebration. The food, service and atmosphere way surpassed our expectations !!!!"

  • "A very good restaurant with views of Evergreen Lake from most of the tables."

  • "Date night for Restaurant Week and it was a hit! Friendly and attentive staff, prompt seating, great food and atmosphere. The Trout was amazing, Owner came by to say hi and she was very personable. Looking forward to revisiting in the Spring/Summer so we can try other menu options and check out the patio!"

  • "We tried out this restaurant for Restaurant Week. We will definitely come back as our experience was terrific. Our server, Linda, was friendly and provided very good service. After salads (which were fine), we shared a bowl of mussels and cockles. Loved it and also loved sopping down the sauce with their bread. I was pretty stuffed by now (thanks, bread!) but found room for the beef duet with perfectly seared beef and a yummy pinot noir sauce followed by the Triple Delight dessert. Would come back just to try out other desserts. I came away VERY full and extremely pleased with the entire experience. The hubs had their rigatoni and sausage which he liked alot, but agreed that my beef dish was the hit of the night along with dessert."

  • "We found Willow Creek Restaurant in the Denver Restaurant Week Website. And we are DELIGHTED we did!! From the BIG smile on the gracious hostess as we walked in to the outstanding service from our waiter, Hunter (be sure to ask for him), to the personal visit by Christopher (owner) to the last BIG smile and "have a safe trip home" from the young lady buser as we were leaving it was perfect . For restaurant week (extendied to March 8) three very tasty courses for $30 and an excellent well-chosen (and long) wine list. Menu changes almost daily responding to available ingredients. All in all, this restaurant, reviewed by USA Today as one of the "TOP TEN Places in the US to eat House Made Pastas," is an excellent choice. Try them and enjoy!!"

  • "The food and service was great, but going on a Saturday during restaurant week was probably a bad idea. Our party of 4 was put at a table for 2. Seriously, the 2-tops around us were the exact same table. It was the only sour note to the evening, but I do put some of the blame on the cause-and-effect of restaurant week. We will go back this summer and spend some time on the deck!"

  • "This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion but also nice to meet friends after work. Especially in the summer on the patio. I had the Risotto with puree of beet from the Restaurant Week menu. It was sooo good. The wait staff and owners have always been friendly and we have always had excellent service."

  • "Beautiful little restaurant with nice views of Evergreen Lake. Nice deck for summertime too. Not a large menu, but great variety and have never been disappointed. Brunch menu is very good."

  • "I took my girlfriend here on valentines day and it was great. The atmosphere was very romantic and our waiter (Michael) was extremely hospitable and friendly. The food came in a 3 course menu with a variety of options, all of which sounded delicious. The food itself was out of this world, and the wine selection is prefect for those who know their wine. The restaurant was right next to Evergreen lake, and although it was dark out one could tell that during the day/afternoon it would be a very beautiful sight. Amazing on all levels!!!"

  • "The WC is a destination restaurant that is satisfying in food, service, view, and overall experience. There's a reason reservations are recommended. Don't drive to Evergreen on a weekend night and expect open tables as the WC is an intimate setting w limited bar and table tops. It is refreshing to experience an establishment w staff proud of the organization and genuinely interested in serving their patrons quality. Looking forward to having the WC in a Evergreen for many years to come."

  • "I've lived in the area over 35 years and never knew Willow Creek was there. What a find! Everything about this place from the beautiful decor, the bar, the food, the ambience and the service was top shelf! Ask for a table by the window and in the winter watch the skaters on Evergreen Lake! Sit in the Amazing Peter's section and enjoy some of the best service anywhere! Nothing on the menu will disappoint be it the famous Rabbit Pappardelle, the delicious Saint Georges Scallops, the Lemongrass Brick Chicken or one of the chef's evening specials. Don't wait as long as I did to enjoy this beautiful restaurant!"

  • "The restaurant was all that I had hoped and the food was wonderful. We live in Lyons and it was worth the drive. We will come there for dinner some night. The waitpersons were great and very friendly and helpful."

  • "Views and ambiance for this restaurant were absolutely spot on, it was worth the 45 minute drive. I was not expecting that the gnocchi appetizer to be almost stew-like and it wasn't my favorite, and it was too similar to our main courses. I found the service and food to be excellent though and will definitely return in the future. It was also very affordable considering the service, views, and quality of food. Bravo!"

  • "They served a wonderful 4 course dinner with great choices in each course, including foie gras, rabbit, & lobster. I tried eight items and all were wonderful. All the staff was dressed from the 1800s and one sang beautiful songs during dinner. I've been here many times in the past two years and it's always good."

  • "Had a 5pm reservation for New Years Eve. Arrived on time, but staff was not quite ready. Once seated our table got lost in the shuffle and waited nearly 30 minutes before we finally got a server. They quickly apologized, comped a couple glasses of wine and were outstanding from there on. Food & ambience was top notch. Even with the hick up they made up for it and would highly recommend!"

  • "My wife and I had lunch here after spending some time ice skating at the lake. The service was VERY slow, we waited over 30 mins after we ordered, just for a salad and burger. Prices are also on the high side here, $15 for a burger and $3.50 for an ice tea, where did these come from? The plus side was that the food was actually very tasty, burger wasn't big but cooked perfectly and my wife really enjoyed her salad. Don't think we'll be back however, just too long a wait for lunch and again I would expect a $15 burger in Vegas, not Evergreen, CO."

  • "Fabulous food with a fabulous view of Evergreen lake. The rabbit in particular is not to be missed. The wine list is dizzingly extensive and full of wonderful options. Reservations are a good idea for weekends as this place can be understandably popular."

  • "Not sure why I waited so long to dine in Evergreen but it was a mistake. Willow Creek presented food that was the equal of any I've had in Denver's nicest restaurants. Of special note was the rabbit dish. Don't be put off - I didn't lick my plate, but did ask for extra bread to sop up the sauce. Also, there's a terrific dessert wine available."

  • "A real find. Locally and family owned and managed. Go for any special. Excellent drinks and wine. Plus now one can watch folks skate and ice fish on Evergreen Lake. Give it a try and you will be happy you did. Service is very friendly and knowledgeable."

  • "The buffet was excellent...lots of choices and very delicious. Desserts however, were nothing special...appeared to be store bought and not what I would expect. Pies were in tin foil tins like you would get at the grocery store. The price was too much this year... $66.00 a person way out there compared to other restaurants."
