Diner Reviews
  • " Bruschetta was fresh, but the addition of balsamic was unexpected. The breading on the fried artichoke was particularly thick. The stuffed veal chop was cooked medium. The sauce had a nice flavor, but it was decidedly absent of stuffing. I saw the slit in the meat, but if there was any stuffing, it had long since escaped. Truffle risotto was heavy w/ truffle oil. Roasted asparagus was three wilted spears. The braciolone had a very unpleasant stuffing, both in texture and taste. It had the consistency of paste and was very heavy on garlic. The accompanying pasta was cooked perfectly. The sauce tasted more of peppers and onions than tomatoes. I couldn't be sure if the chocolate cake was made in house. The server was efficient."

  • "Vincent's may be the best Italian in NOLA. Sunday evening 6 pm, had reservations for 4. We were seated right away by the friendly host. Our server was also friendly and attentive without hovering. Ordered at the table to start was the Italian Chicken soup,Corn and Crabmeat bisque served in a bread bowl, and the house salad with the Blue Cheese vinaigrette. For entrees ordered was their House Specialty the Cannelloni, spaghetti and meatballs, fettuccini alfredo, and the lasagna. Bread pudding to finish up the meal. I suggest splitting this desert, because it is super sweet and just a couple bites would satisfy your sweet tooth. Overall a really enjoyable meal! "

  • "Some of our party was late and we didn't order for almost an hour. The staff was very gracious about the situation and took great care of us! Veal Roberto is one of the best dishes in New Orleans (if not the world). We dine here often for a reason. Great food and service with a personal touch! Dago rocks!"

  • "We are always looking for new restaurants to dine at when we visit New Orleans. We make it a priority to search for restaurants that are outside of the French Quarter area. We chose this restaurant for my fiancés birthday. We are very happy that we chose Vincent's. The food, the service and the ambiance were all very good. The restaurant is somewhat small but has a romantic flare about it. Nice selection of quality Italian dishes at reasonable prices. The service was also very good with attentive servers. We have now added this restaurant to our list of places to dine at again in the future."

  • "I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was a wonderful experience!! Great service and food. The place is extremely small and always busy. There is nowhere other than the bar to wait for your table and you actually have to squeeeeze between peoples chairs to get around, but I actually found it very quaint and the hustle, bustle atmosphere made it fun and interesting!"

  • "Recently took a friend from out of town for girls night and had a wonderful time. Great drinks, very good wine list and a great variety on the menu. Staff is wonderful friendly and attentive. Great little place for dinner and conversation. It is small but that adds to the cozy feeling and does not take away from being able to sit and talk and enjoy your drinks. Very easy to get to and overall just a great place to spend an evening. Try the homemade pasta. I never indulge but it is worth it."

  • "What can I say. We returned again--we are out of towners with a LOVE for this restaurant. But despite the Friday lunch hour, the restaurant did not have any customers when we entered. We waited a bit long for our service, but ones it began, we enjoyed the attention of several lovely chaps. The food as always was just lovely, classic Italian. We will of course, be back next trip. First timers, beware, parking is limited and scarce, but worth the go!"

  • "We actually showed up early and had no wait. The place doesn't strike you from the outside but is very cozy inside. Wait staff excellent and knowledgeable. Great lasagna dish. Not a wine drinker but very nice selection. Would highly recommend this place for Italian food in NOLA; not as many choices as NY or Boston but excellent quality."

  • "Some of the best Italian in NOLA. I live in NOLA and love the many fantastic restaurants here. Vincent's is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant that is off the beaten path for most tourists, but worthwhile especially if you love veal dishes."

  • "Normally Vincents is the spot I would choose for her birthday, she loves the food and the service... no more. This was a Wednesday night mind you, not a busy weekend... Our reservation annotated it was her birthday.... We were seated OK. Waited on OK. Ordered wine and enjoyed the breadsticks... Ordered Oysters Rockefeller, her favorite, did NOT get them... when asked, it was an oversight but dinner had been served. Special chops, not so special...her veal - very dry... They did bring her a few Oysters AFTER dinner and AFTER quite a wait. Will NOT choose this again as a "special" occasion dining spot."

  • "My sister-in-law and I went to dinner on this past Monday evening during Mardi Gras (I was visiting from Houston). This was a wonderful spot to go to, being off the parade route and away from all the crowds. The location is literally FIVE MINUTES from her home, and she didn't know about it! I had the crab and shrimp parma; she had shrimp fettucine. Everything was absolutely delicious! Hers came with a soup; she had the corn and crab bisque, which was delicious as well. Everthing from the wine to the dessert (creme brulee) was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed ourselves, and can't wait to get back!"

  • "I have reviewed many times, and Vincent's is always great. They have more fantastic veal dishes than any place in New Orleans. Wonderful seafood, and great Italian classics. It is hard to park in the neighborhood as with all small neighborhood New Orleans restaurants, but worth it."

  • "I lived in New Orleans 10 years and never went to Vincent's. Its old home appearance and location would not attract the general public without a recommendation. I was introduced to Vincent's a year ago and it has become one of my must visit restaurants every trip to the city. Everything I have eaten there has been excellent."

  • "Our dinners in New Orleans generally consist of seafood, but occasionally venture out for something different. Based on reviews Vincent's has been on our list for awhile and I am sorry we did not get there sooner. The service was excellent, food was outstanding and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The couple next to us appeared to be regulars celebrating an anniversary and the atmosphere was perfect for that. Our family dinner was enjoyable both for the food and the fact that we did not have to shout to be heard when conversing. We would highly recommend Vincent's for some extraordinary Italian dining."

  • "New Orleans is known for its restaurants and cuisine. You could spend years going around the city and finding new "favorite" restaurants. No matter how many we try, we keep coming back to Vincent's when we want a night out or for special occasions. You can't beat the friendly servers, excellent food, and wonderful atmosphere."

  • "We went to Vincent's before our law school formal and we had a wonderful experience. We were in formal attire (ladies in full length gowns and gentlemen in suits) and we were not out of place. The service was very attentive and we were acknowledge immediately and felt like we were the only party in the restaurant. They were celebrating a lot of birthdays and they included the entire restaurant in the celebration which made it a positive atmosphere and was a lot of fun. The restaurant is very small and intimate which suited our needs perfectly but would not be good for parties larger than 6, 8 would be pushing it. Food, cocktails, and wine were amazing and spot on! Would gladly go back again."

  • "From the moment you walk in to the moment your are walking out the door. The host greets you with a great personality making us feel right at home. I'm a novice for when it comes to wines selecting. The wait staff, I believe, has fairly good amount of knowledge to point you in the right direction."

  • "This was a great experience. From the moment we entered the restaurant, everything was perfect. The food is top notch. There is no pretention here. There were two particular highlights, Tony, the man who greeted us after entering, treated us like we were special guests. It wasn't fakey, or an act, he made us feel like we were the reason the restaurant was open that day. It really set the tone for the rest of the evening for us. The feeling lasted long after we'd left the restaurant. The other, was a young man, Justin. He was servicing the wait staff and resetting tables, but did it with such enthusiasm that I was compelled to reward him upon leaving. This has become our go to restaurant when we want to have a real nice meal."
