We were impressed with the wine list and appetizer options, both diverse and creative. The service was excellent and the food well prepared and presented, with excellent flavor and portions. Although, once you are inside the building you are transformed into a top notch dining experience. The food is great, and there is a lot of choices. Also, the staff is very friendly and personable. The wine selection is never ending, they seem to have everything. Cream of mushroom soup in deliciously creamy. Heirloom tomato salad a must try. The creme brulee was out of this world tasty. The Chef I take my hat off too, everything is so flavor filled. Simply outstanding and has a great kitchen staff that helps stand behind his vision. Our table service with Allison and Spike, so friendly, helpful, very nice, above and beyond. One of the best services with great food & wine selections I have had in years. I was very disappointed. His mahi-mahi was a bit too salty, and my salmon lacked any flavor. This was no small feat to get them to drive from Laguna and San Juan Capistrano. We all agreed it was definitely worth the drive! One of the best Cesar Salad (with shrimp) I have ever had. The service was excellent, valet parking convenient and though we ate inside the patio looked wonderful. Make The Winery Restaurant & Bar a destination all on its own, not just if you are going to The District. Everyone - from Noel at the bar to Morgan to JC to William to Spike to Natalie - made our experience at The Winery one of the best. My guest was a business colleague from New Jersey who travels often to Orange County and said that this was the most fantastic place he had ever come to in Orange County. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.
