Diner Reviews
  • "We live in North City Park and were so excited to try this new neighborhood gem that's getting so much press, including the recent 5280 magazine review. It lived up! We enjoyed a warm summer night on their patio (we agreed to wait about 30 minutes after our reservation time to sit outside because it was a beautiful night, and were able to do so on a few extra chairs they had out on the patio for those who just wanted to enjoy a cocktail). Every bite was amazing, and the four of us made sure to vary our orders so we could each try the other dishes. This place is sure to be a favorite of mine."

  • "Chefs deserve a better environment. Way too noisy. Couldn't hear my dinner partner over the small wood table. Rude, indifferent maitre'd, great wait person, Eric. There are ways to solve the noise problem, simple and cheap. That's why overall rating is poor. No matter how good the food and service noise is meant for a sports bar, not a fine dining "neighborhood" place."

  • "Had a delightful time as a first time diner. Loved our first waiter who came by to fill water and became our favorite guy. Food was delicious both small plates and large with in house made choices our favorites. Definitely will return. Didn't realize you were open for lunch so will try that next."

  • "Had another great meal at The Plimoth with friends. Everything was delicious but the pacing was unbearably slow-- dinner took more than two hours and it was almost an hour before our first appetizer arrived. The server kept apologizing for the delays but at a certain point apologies aren't enough. It seemed like the kitchen was short staffed or maybe they got slammed with orders, but I'd think for a place of their size that by now they would know how to pace the tables so that it wouldn't take as long as it did. We'd still go back, but I hope it won't take as long. It's also incredibly loud in there and difficult to hear your dining companions. I wish they would add tablecloths or padding to the side walls to muffle some of the noise."

  • "Beautiful menu - super creative and a starters list that allows you to taste many complex dishes at an affordable price. Wonderful drink menu and delightful service. Definitely look forward to visiting again!"

  • "Great food, wonderful service and fun. It was our first time and we will definitely return to try more of the menu."

  • "If you love pâté....this is the place to get some of the best I've ever had. Only available on Friday and Saturday. The gnocchi are to die for as well"

  • "Make sure to call for a reservation because this place is popular and deservingly so! Dinner was great, the menu offered a variety of choices and everyone at our table of 4 enjoyed their meals."

  • "This restaurant is in a neighborhood where I didn't expect to find it. The food was really good. The menu is creative, varied and eclectic. I had the open face pastrami sandwich with delicious mustard, cheese and a fried egg on top. Excellent! There are also great wine and beer suggestions for each dish. I would come back and sit outside if possible."

  • "Consistently serves outstanding food....I have dined here several times, always trying new things and sharing with my friends. We have yet to try a dish that we didn't all like and wouldn't order again. I can't think of another restaurant with that quality and consistency. The pork is always a special favorite, but they also have beef, fish, vegetarian...... Desserts melt in your mouth. Service is also consistently excellent from the moment you enter the door until you leave. This really is a true gem."

  • "This was our second time back and all I can say is WOW! I have to admit I had my mind set on the curry lentils again (from the first time), but quickly found out they have a seasonal menu and I was not disappointed. The steak barrate and pork tenderloin were marinated, brined, and cooked to perfection and the service was impeccable. Can't wait to go back."

  • "We were a party of 4 and had a number of small plates to start so we really got to taste a lot of things on the menu. There is not one item we tasted that was not delicious. The choices were great and each dish had an interesting twist on whatever item was being served. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun vibe with great food."

  • "I've been here twice, always food is hyper-fresh, imaginative and a delight to eat; service is attentive & knowledgeable. Ambience very hip. a new favorite! I will put it on my routine list! At the risk of making it very popular and difficult to get into, I give the plimoth my highest rating!"

  • "I believe Plimoth will be one of those restaurants that will benefit greatly by word-of-mouth and will draw people from around Denver to savor the great food, good service and the nice neighborhood gem vibe."

  • "The open kitchen with the chef right at the front is very appealing to me. Our server, Katie, was simply amazing. The drinks were top drawer. Creative combinations of excellently prepared foods. Bathrooms are clean and charming. I would certainly return."

  • "We were absolutely delighted with everything from the ambience, food and service. Our server was pleasant and answered every question we had. The food was phenomenal. We will definitely be back and can't wait to sit on the patio next time."

  • "We were there with good friends. Wonderful service and a very knowledgeable server who was fully familiar with all components of menu and wine list. My steak was underwhelming--cool when it arrived and sitting in a pool of olive oil, with some unappetizing potato salad. The flavor simply wasn't there, confirmed by my husband and our friends who shared the dish with me. The other three meals served to the table were terrific and really tasty. It was noisy inside, but the patio look very inviting. We agreed we'd return when we could sit outside."

  • "Everything about our experience at The Plimoth was outstanding. Upon arriving we were greeted very graciously and our waiter was friendly, attentive and explained the menu with great detail. For starters we had the risotto and the kielbasa and shared them--they were both amazing! For our entrees we had the roast pork which had been marinated in BSB beer and the pollock. These also were exceptional both in taste and the presentation. Even though really full, we managed to share a dessert. We are looking forward to returning soon and often. The hard thing will be to choose something different on the menu that also looked good or repeat this fantastic dinner."

  • "Had our first dinner at the Plimoth on 6/13 and it was a great dining experience. Food was fantastic. Service left a bit to be desired by our waiter, but I think it was just ours. I would definitely go back! They even have a nice patio to sit and have drinks and/or dinner."

  • "We arrived for our reservation and were seated promptly at a table by the wall, as requested. Our drinks and first courses were brought Ina timely fashion. I had the gnocchi, which was amazing. My husband had the beet salad, also very good. The main courses seemed to take a long time. My husband had the chicken with shrimp étouffée and I had the pork tenderloin. When they did arrive both meals were excellent. The portions were quite large and we did not have room for dessert. We will definitely return and I would hope for a nice evening when we can sit outside, as it would be a quieter experience."

  • "We had dinner at the Plimoth to celebrate my husband's birthday. The wine was great, the small plates fantastic - brought out slowly so that we could appreciate each bite. Then came the entrees. My husband's was good but mine was really bad. I ordered the steak which was just covered in salt. Are chefs addicted to salt? There was no other flavor, just overpowering disgusting salt. I would still recommend eating there as they have quite a few tasty bites, but ask about which plates have been buried in salt."

  • "We had a wonderful time at the Pimoth. We have been a few times now and are always blown away by the food. My husband said his pork tenderloin was "inspiring." Service is informative and friendly. They have a wonderful staff. It a great place for a nice night out!"

  • "Dinner was wonderful. I like a menu that doesn't have a million choices. That means easier decisions on the diners part and that the kitchen can be more efficient. The ice cream scoops were on the small side. The noise level was a tad too high....I couldn't hear the folks at the next table which was good but I also had trouble hearing my dining partner. I have already told several people the positives about the Plimoth."

  • "From appetizers to dessert...perfection! Everything was absolutely delicious. Now I know what all the buzz was about. It reminds me of a quaint restaurant in the Village in NY. Anyone that loves good food should go here. I will definitely be back. Also very reasonable prices for the quality of food."

  • "Really love this space. Great for the area and a really wonderuk experience. Mitch our waiter was excellent. Knowledgable and funny and perfect service. 98% of the food was amazing with really interesting ideas and Ingredients. We had three apps and entrees and dessert. Wine selection was great. The only thing that wasn't excellent was the veggie ash steak. It was ok but not the best thing on the menu. The panna cotta taste was amazing but the texture was not a panna cotta. Too thick. I will most certainly be back to eat.really excellent experience "

  • "We had been trying to get a reservation at this restaurants for weeks, and were somewhat skeptical about the hype about it. But after having dinner there my husband and I now know that the hype is justified. The food and service is just fantastic. Everything we had, the starters (roast beet salad/smoked scottish salmon salad), the entrees (salmon/pork tenderloin), and the dessert (a chocolate mousse cake), was outstanding. "

  • "Truly a 5 star chef. A perfect blend of flavors and spices in a deliciously creative menu. Lesser chefs try to be creative and often fall flat as their meals are just too weird. Not the case with Plimoth. The menu is ever-changing and I have shared a variety of small plates, large plates and desserts and never had a dish that we didn't love. The place is welcoming, the service very good, and they truly want you to relax and enjoy your meal. A possible spoiler for some diners is that it is very noisy….a trend in many restaurants today and one that is not appreciated by all. However, I will return again and again for the delicious food."

  • "My husband and I went to The Plimouth this past weekend for an anniversary dinner and we had such a wonderful experience we booked our next table on the way out the door. Informed, pleasant service coupled with really terrific, well-executed food. The pork rillettes were spot on, with the unexpected pickled chard stems providing a wonderful contrast. The gnocchi were little pillows of love and the shrimp etoufee with the chicken breast would've been great on its own. Can't wait to see what this place continues to do!"

  • "Five stars in every category. The gnocchi is light and delicious! The Vadouvan red lentils and sweet potato ragout is simply outstanding, with a hint of many flavors expertly combined. The wine parings were perfect!"

  • "Food was outstanding. Service was attentive, professional and accommodating. The facility is very small; consequently, it was noisy when the tables were full. Perhaps, they will expand into the adjoining vacant property. We will return many times."

  • "Excellent food and service. Necessary to make reservation 1 to 2 weeks ahead and still was seated at a windrow bar area. Sat on very uncomfortable bar stools with no leg room. "

  • "Cool little spot in Park Hill - varied and interesting menu, lots of fresh ingredients, good wines. All in all a place worthy of putting into the rotation. Heartily recommended. "
