  • "The food, as always, was absolutely amazing. The tomato and bread salad was fresh, vibrant, and oh so tasty. Typically, I don't like eggplant or baba ghanoush, but Pete made it magical as a base to the salad. The liver pate on baguette was creamy and light and oh so tasty. And the roasted eggplant (ohmigod, yes, another eggplant dish!) and squash with yogurt was my favorite dish of the night. Oh so tasty! Pete and Adam continue to amaze me and my friends every time we go. This place is not to be missed. I just wish there were more outside tables. There's plenty of room out there for more tables, so I'm hoping they'll remedy that soon."

  • "Our dinner experience at the Plimoth was amazing. Simple ingredients prepared perfectly. The service was attentive but not over done, the flavors were bright, fresh and yet complex.....perfect for a summer evening. The wine list is a nice combination of imports and domestic offerings and also a good mix of the familiar and the unusual. We eat out often but this meal is a standard of greatness."

  • "You must love fresh ingredients and a place that will surprise you with flavor combinations. It was lovely. I panicked after waiting 2 weeks for this reservation to find that the noise level was so extreme inside that you couldn't have a conversation with the person you were with. Luckily we were able to be seated on the patio for a calm and delicious meal. Our waiter was knowledgeable, professional and friendly without being chummy. This definitely will be a favorite on our list."

  • "Always happy to see a high end spot close to Park Hill, the Plimoth was worth the challenge to get a reservation. The greeting at the front was very welcoming, and the restaurant was packed at 7pm. I wish they would have more room at the bar to have a drink first, but they got us to the table quickly. The only downside was they seemed to need another waiter and bartender as each drink I asked for took a long time. Once I got them they were great. And the food was the best part. Everything we had was very good - and somewhat different than other restaurants. We would definitely go back."

  • "The Plimoth is understandably a hot spot--resies are made well in advance and by 5:30 the place is full. And the food can be exquisite--raw turnips and squash with garlic naan and a great dipping sauce, the famous gratin, the pates, recently an excellent italian bread salad with heirlooms. But based on our three visits the entrees could be better, characterized by overdressed or misplaced greens seemingly placed on every dish and sides that do not match the quality of the proteins. If the mains met the starters quality, then all of the high hopes and potential could be realized."

  • "First visit.....appetizers were excellent, two entrees were a solid B but not up to either the appetizers or the desserts. Dessert was FABULOUS - pot de creme and fruit crumble. Service was atttentive without imposing.....and the one thing I would caution is VOLUME.....if you are hearing sensitive at all.....try outdoors, better there....but inside is nasty noisy."

The beer and wine selections were excellent; the food was outstanding and so well presented and the wait staff very helpful. We even were given a small dish of popcorn with fresh dill from the garden. We can't wait to go back!"

  • "We had a later booking and a couple of us were still running late. Adam and his staff were so accommodating and made sure we had drinks and snacks while we waited for the rest of our party. The food was exceptional; thoughtful, well balanced and superbly executed. We had 4 different bottles from what I would consider a very boutique style wine list. Started with a Rose sparkler, a quick and easy white as we moved into our salads, a Rhone with dinner and finished with a bottle on Pinot Noir. Oh, can't forget the round of Fernet. This is truly a wonderful addition to the City Park north area and sets a high mark for others to hit as this area grows in popularity."

  • "This was our first time at Plimoth and what an experience. From the bottle of wine recommended by our lovely waiter and the tasty pork rillette starter, to our main courses that left us both licking our plate. The gnocchi was made for the gods and the pork tendloin was wonderfully intricate and supremely tasty. It was a dining experience that took us back to our honeymoon in Paris. Romantic and sinfully delicious. And while it's not cheap, it is cheaper than flying to Paris to get a dining experience this amazing. Worth every dollar."

The wine list is medium-sized but well chosen and and an excellent complement to the food. If your taste runs to a quality French bistro you won't do better in Denver."

  • "We live in North City Park and were so excited to try this new neighborhood gem that's getting so much press, including the recent 5280 magazine review. It lived up! We enjoyed a warm summer night on their patio (we agreed to wait about 30 minutes after our reservation time to sit outside because it was a beautiful night, and were able to do so on a few extra chairs they had out on the patio for those who just wanted to enjoy a cocktail). Every bite was amazing, and the four of us made sure to vary our orders so we could each try the other dishes. This place is sure to be a favorite of mine."

  • "Chefs deserve a better environment. Way too noisy. Couldn't hear my dinner partner over the small wood table. Rude, indifferent maitre'd, great wait person, Eric. There are ways to solve the noise problem, simple and cheap. That's why overall rating is poor. No matter how good the food and service noise is meant for a sports bar, not a fine dining "neighborhood" place."

Everything was delicious but the pacing was unbearably slow-- dinner took more than two hours and it was almost an hour before our first appetizer arrived. The server kept apologizing for the delays but at a certain point apologies aren't enough. It seemed like the kitchen was short staffed or maybe they got slammed with orders, but I'd think for a place of their size that by now they would know how to pace the tables so that it wouldn't take as long as it did. We'd still go back, but I hope it won't take as long. It's also incredibly loud in there and difficult to hear your dining companions. I wish they would add tablecloths or padding to the side walls to muffle some of the noise."

I had the open face pastrami sandwich with delicious mustard, cheese and a fried egg on top. Excellent! There are also great wine and beer suggestions for each dish. We have yet to try a dish that we didn't all like and wouldn't order again. I can't think of another restaurant with that quality and consistency. The pork is always a special favorite, but they also have beef, fish, vegetarian...... Desserts melt in your mouth. Service is also consistently excellent from the moment you enter the door until you leave. This really is a true gem."

I have to admit I had my mind set on the curry lentils again (from the first time), but quickly found out they have a seasonal menu and I was not disappointed. The steak barrate and pork tenderloin were marinated, brined, and cooked to perfection and the service was impeccable. Can't wait to go back."
