Diner Reviews
  • "The menu had a 30 year ago throw back with Patty's original Paella back on for a week. It was as good as always (or even better) - a superb treat for a dish that is hard to execute well. Delicious!"

  • "Colorado Springs restaurants generally are not known for their good service. However, Margarita at Pine Creek differentiates itself from others with outstanding service. Servers attend to the customers without being intrusive. Pace of food servings was perfect. Five stars for their great service indeed!"

  • "We visited The Margarita for our anniversary dinner as we wanted something special. The food was excellent, my steak was prepared perfectly medium rare and her sea bass was also. The sides were delicious and pleasing to the eye. She is gluten intolerant; the waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting delicious fare and presenting the order to the kitchen. She thinks the waitress was not as professional as she likes; there was a bit of a lag between the clearing of our main course dishes and taking the order for desert. When we did get the flourless chocolate torte and the flan they were excellent We liked our experience and will return."

  • "Took a job candidate there for lunch. Great food and service as always. Nice to show folks from out of town places with character and who understand simple good food and simple good service. Went out of their way to accommodate an unexpected gluten free diner in our group. Thank you!"

  • "I have eaten Sunday Brunch, lunch and dinner at the Margarita at Pine Creek many times over the last 30+ years and I have NEVER had a bad anything....consistently outstanding in all respects."

  • "We dined at The Margarita at Pine Creek based on several positive OpenTable reviews. Each course of our 5-course dinner was excellent. There was a three piece combo performing live music on this Saturday evening - 9 out of 10 quality. Our waitress was persanable and had sound recommendations for some of our course choices. The atmosphere is difficult to describe, but unique and interesting. Nothing cookie-cutter about this restaurant."

  • "Perfection, only thing I would change, make it a bit warmer. I was very cold by the window. The torte was heaven, so glad they could make a small one for my husband's BD."

  • "The Margarita continues its tradition of good food, well presented and served attentively in a relaxing atmosphere. The brunch menu has something for everyone. Dinner always features a dish or two that are a bit unique and worthwhile. The only downside is sound reflection if there is a loud table close by. Not that the restaurant is loud, only that one or two loud individuals can make a significant difference because the ambiance is low key and relaxed."

  • "I've eaten lunch 3 times at Margarita AT Pine Creek and haven't been disappointed yet. The food and service is great, prices are right, and I love the surprise dessert at the end. Plan to go as often as possible."

  • "The main dining area was energetic with the background music supplied by a harpsichord ... Yes, a harpsichord! Very nice. The meal is based on a serving with wine airings that were well matched. Even though this was winter, the patios looked inviting."

  • "Dining at Margarita was perfectly fine, but nothing stood out. The food was good, not great. Our waitress was good, not great. The ambiance was good, not great. I found the portions rather large for a tasting menu. Neither my wife nor I finished our 2nd or 3rd course. Highlights were a soup-du-jour and vegetarian entre. My steak was cooked well and tasty, too. A Caesar salad was overly dressed and the desserts were a nice sweet bite, but not the type of dish that you can't stop eating. We each had the three-course tasting menu and a glass of wine and walked out paying $116 with the tip. A little high for the experience, but not highway robbery. Again, good, but not great."

  • "Food very good, well-prepared, depth of flavors. Service was right on. Nice ambiance (except that grounds could use a bit of TLC though the restaurant itself is interesting and tables private)."

  • "Lately we have been dining more often because meals have been wonderful. Thanksgiving was NOT the time to go! We had a larger party than normal and were relegated to the bar in the basement. The food was good as always, with only one or two exceptions. In fact, my salmon entree was the tastiest and most perfectly cooked I have probably ever eaten. However, this was the worst service I have ever had at this restaurant. My daughter, who is herself waitstaff at a local restaurant, said I should have taken the automatic gratuity off. Waitstaff was unpleasant and rude, hurried and late bringing food. We waited a long time for just bread, longer to have our order taken, and were clearly encouraged to leave. Price was higher than normal!"

  • "Wish I had known about it earlier. The food was fantastic, and the paired wines went well with the courses. They have live music about half the week, which makes the place more enjoyable for me."

  • "Really enjoy dining here. The food is always very good with seasonal changes and several choices in each category. The menu is set-you can have a 3 or 5 course dining experience. Wines can also be paired with the food. We always have the 3 course and share so we can taste most options. The have wonderful vegetarian options too!"

  • "The food was very well prepared and we had unusual choices, which is one of the things they are known for. Really enjoyed the choices they prepared that night and loved that they paired with wine with the meal for you."
