We offer custom six course sit down dinners as well as gorgeous buffets with carving stations and of course you can order right off of our menu that offer daily specials. We can also cater your every need at your residence, office or off site facility.

A modern take on the original Village restaurant (established in 1947), our reputation is for serving Baton Rouge’s finest Italian, Prime Beef, Maine Lobster, Veal and fresh Gulf seafood. The Downtown location features daily specials, a full bar and can accommodate private parties for up to fifty. We also have space for up to 15 guests in our bar area where dinner is also served.Continued

A friend recommended this restaurant to us by telling us her father used to bar tend there and that it was a hot spot for celebrities when they were visiting the city. We moved from Los Angeles so this piqued our interest. The place is immaculate and gorgeous. The service was warm and friendly. We really enjoyed our visit."

  • "We took our son there for his birthday celebration and were most impressed with the drinks, bread (awesome!) appetizer (lobster Bisque) and fab entrees. The desserts were scrumptious and their presentation was beautiful. If there was anything negative it was how fast each dish was brought out. We were done in an hour! Not as leisurely as we like to dine. We have recommended Little Village to our family and friends. We also liked that fact that there not a lot of kids or crying babies in there. We had a fabulous meal at a reasonable price. Thank you!"

  • "It was our anniversary and my wife had been wanting to try this place. I read a lot of reviews that said it was nice but the food was bland and that's how I would describe it. We ordered the bread and also the artichoke bottoms so we could dip the bread in the crab sauce. Great idea! And then it was so so from there. The seafood fettuccini was just ok. I've had better at Zeas or Sammy's . My wife got the veal Marsala , again, good but not worth the price. We spent 120.00 and for that there are much better places in town. Service was good but no bread/water server. The experience would have been much better with more attention to the table."

  • "I did NOT enjoy my visit to The Little Village on 3-19-14 because the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was absolutely TOO SMALL - barely enough to hold in one cupped palm. The bowl it came in was small, but the rim was wide to make it look like a big "plate". If they served it in a regular bowl, it would have looked even more insignificant. When the waitress asked if everything was ok, I thought she was joking. I'm a grown man; this was barely enough to fill a 9 year old. I said nothing because I didn't want to ruin the experience for my girlfriend (our 1 yr. anniversary). Luckily her meal turned out fine. The real crime is they charge $20 for what was actually only worth about $7. Summary: Over-priced. Disappointing. STAY AWAY."

  • "Don't get me wrong, we love this place but this last visit was not as good as previous times. My wife ordered the lobster bisque which was good but not great and I ordered the chicken parsmesean which was burnt on the underside. I had eaten about a third of it when I discovered the burned part and when I told the waiter he was super friendly and offered a replacement which I elected to have to go. When we got home we discovered to our shock that it too was burned! Oh well, I guess it was a bad night in the kitchen. The bread as always was great but it was the only thing other than the great waiter that made the expirience worthwhile."

  • "This restaurant is a well known classic Italian eatery. Service is excellent and suitable to the upscale atmosphere. The wine list is adequate. The great part of the restaurant is the menu. Old traditional recipes and all are well prepared and nicely presented. The garlic bread is not to miss. The noise level rises quickly as the restaurant fills which makes dinner conversation a chore at best."

  • "My husband and I wanted to go out to dinner one last time before our baby arrives so we decided to go to The Little Village. Our waiter's name was Michael and he was very rude. My lasagne had a piece of plastic in it and instead of Michael apologizing for it he simply took my plate and walked away with it. No apology or explanation. We wete very upset about our experience and won't be going back any time soon. Maybe not at all."

It was a grey mass in the middle of the plate. The garlic mashed potatoes were also very bland. The salad was okay but not outstanding, as was the service. Considering the price tag for a very disappointing meal, we will not return."

The atmosphere was so romantic and quiet! The service was were prompt and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list. All of this for a decent price!! I would recommend this place for a special occasion with your significant other, if you are into romantic date nights! Definitely going to return in the future!"

  • "I have dined many times at little village in Prairieville. The tables at the downtown location are very close together and not very much chair room to have easy access to table. Let me say , we had four ladies in our party, I am considered petite 5'2"-125lbs woman and found it difficult to get to my chair. The service that night was extremely slow, the waiter seemed to be handling a lot of tables, like they were short staffed for an Friday evening. The food was ok, but was not served hot. I ordered fish,and you could tell it had been sitting for awhile , because it was more room temp. Due to the high ceilings, this is a noisy dining room.Not very impressed with downtown location. I do not think I will choose this location again."

  • "We went to little village for our anniversary and it was lovely! The bread is famous and rightfully so. If you're dining for two order a half loaf but even then try to contain yourself. I ordered duck and it was divine! My boyfriend ordered the specialty steak that was smothered in a heavenly array of mushroom, Gouda, crabmeat, lobster, solid gold.... Just kidding but really it was incredible! Our waiter, Jared, was great hence the title. I would absolutely have to say this is the best Italian restaurant in Baton Rouge."

  • "We were really looking forward to going to The Little Village due to the many recommendations from friends but we were disappointed. The servers forgot the wine that I ordered with my meal. After we finished our meal, he basically disappeared for 20 minutes before coming back to our table to if we needed anything and by that time, I no longer wanted the wine. We would recommend ordering the pasta dishes with the sauce on the side.....my wife ordered a pasta dish and we could barely see the pasta. 80% sauce and 20% pasta and the pepper in the sauce was overwhelming. My dish was the pasta and clams....swiming in oil/sauce. The atmosphere was nice and casual. The restaurant was clean and orderly."
