Diner Reviews
  • "I enjoyed the pasta salad with the wine. My father, who is quite picky, loved the fish. I could not remember the name of the dish. We enjoyed ourselves very much."

  • "The most notable thing was that we had reservations, but our table wan't ready. We had asked for a table out of traffic on our Open Table reservation. The first maitre d' knew about our request, but informed us that the table they had picked out was not yet available - fine. He was relieved by a young lady, who seemed to understand the situation. In the mean time, the lobby got to be very crowded. Eventually, a manager-type took over and after a while tried to give us one of those tables. I had to be forceful in insisting that we get the one we were waiting on or a comparable table - especially after waiting an additional 20 minutes after our reservation time. We eventually got a good table and dinner was fine."

  • "I was really excited to eat here for my date Saturday. This was a huge mistake. 1st we asked waiter about the crab cakes. He told Us they were lumped crab meat! Wrong they a stuffing style crab cake. Next we ordered lobster bisque! It had no seasoning in it all! It tasted like straight cream. My boyfriend ordered the sea bass special. He couldn't eat it because it was so fishy. I ordered the filet special. My filet was cooked great but the steak had no seasoning or Taste. This was the worse date night ever!!!"

  • "My husband and my daughterr took me to the Little Village for my birthday dinner, which is where I wanted to go.I absolutely love the stuffed mushrooms and the salad that comes with the entrees was excellent as well. I chose the Caesar salad which was served crisp and with plenty of croutons and dressing. We also got the mandatory Village bread as well as the roasted garlic and the olive tapenade. We had plenty to bring home! My daughter got the lobster and shrimp with penne which she thoroughly enjoyed. My husband got lasagna and he said it was delicious. I got the chicken parmasan with angle hair pasta. It was hot and enough for me to bring home half in a togo box. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. All in all, it was a great."

  • "I always get some cut of steak and my wife always gets some form of shrimp. I have always been stuck on the filet mignon and it is always beyond terrific. So this time I thought to myself, hey, if the filet is this good then the ribeye has to be this awesome also. Well it dropped the ball this time for me, I'll stick to the filet from now on. The ribeye lacked flavor and was very fatty. Which I expected the fat because of the flavor, but mine was probably half fat and half meat. For $37 I felt as if this weren't a good representation of The Little Village. But overall, this will not push me away by any means, it'll just steer me in a different direction rather than the ribeye."

  • "This was our first visit to Little Village. The restaurant was nice on the inside and the service/dinner was good. Tables were a little close together, so you don't have much privacy. Overall,a good place to eat with group of friends."

  • "Truly one of the best Italian restaurants and one of the best overall restaurants in the city. I have never had anything here that was less than excellent. Great dining experience altogether."

  • "I went with a party of 10. The food was delicious, especially the bread. The service was decent but our server was new, so there were quite a few questions he could not answer, especially concerning the wine list and food specifics. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant. The only cons are the somewhat pricey menu and the location. The interior is a bit small, even cramped. Great for small parties but I would not recommend it for large parties. But again, the food was very good."

  • "The Sever Ms. Heidi was very professional and was very attentive on the service. If i wasn't with a family member and with a date i would surly asked to be served by her once again. Also the Lobster Bisque was astounding!!! Also there Stuffed Mushrooms tasted almost like home. The stuffing in the mushrooms did have a good kick but the White sauce served with it was unbelievably good. If i was not dinning in I would have drank the sauce off the plate!!! I am sure to stop by again soon because this place is amazing!!!"

  • "We have been to the restaurant a few times before, and the food was much better. I'll try it again, as I know everyone thinks very highly of The Little Village. We did not care for our tiny table for 2."

  • "Went for Valentine's day - food and service was very good. My mom and dad also went, there food was good but service.. not so much. They were in a tiny room at the very back with loud, rambunctious guests and their waiter was never around. Not a great visit for them."

  • "We have had lunches & dinners here, the atmosphere is friendly, cozy & comfortable. The foods are wonderful. Seafood & fish dishes have been grilled or baked just right. Caesar & house salads very tasty. The Village Italian bread is "the best", especially with the roasted garlic & olives.White chockolate bread pudding is excelent. Our only complaint has been the service, Our waiter, male, took a long time getting to us after we were seated, but the manager made up for server's bad service. Server charged us dinner prices for lunch, big disappointment (we didn't notice until after) But the restaurant setting & the food is excelent. We eat at lots of Italian restaurants in BR and other cities, we know good Italian. We will be back;"

  • "We would love to go back. The bread was wonderful and if you've never been, I will highly recommend this place for any occasion. Wish they would have a better selection of imported beer."

  • "This was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had! We had to wait nearly 15 minutes for our server to greet us, another 10 for our drinks, and another 55 minutes for our food. My wife had to get up and find our server to ask for a refill. They were not overly busy for a Saturday night so I'm not sure if this is the usual. Overall, The Little Village was a BIG disappointment!"

  • "We planned our 10yr anniversary dinner hoping for a quiet romantic dinner for two. We were placed in a tiny room with 4 other tables which were all groups and were extremely loud. My husband and I were forced to raise our voices across the table from each other in order to attempt a conversation. The service was slow. Our table was very unsturdy. The only thing good about the night was the food. We will not be back."

  • "The only thing better than the food is the service!"

  • "There were two of us and we spent about $120. We ordered the famous bread and an a Entree with a side for each of us. The reservation was not needed as there were several empty seats. The portion of the sides seemed small for the price. The Filet Mignon was 9 oz. and was great. My wife got a special of the day that was basically a small steak stuffed with seafood. It took 46 minutes from the time we placed our order until it arrived on our table. My wife was disappointed in the amount if stuffed seafood. It equated to roughly a spoonful or bite size worth of seafood. While it tasted good, there was not much of it. The price of the special was not worth it. If we go back to that location, we will choose different menu items."

  • "Food was good,we had the shrimp andChilean Bass the fish was excellent but the shrimp were not fried crispy. Our appetizer was ok not great it was the "lump crab cake" made with claw meat and lots of breading and macerated "lump claw meat" and was mealy. The bread was ok but had entirely too much parmasian cheese on it. The wait staff was good and prompt . As for the food I give it an ok but not great for the money."

  • "Ordered the bread that you have to pay for - asked for a half loaf and was given the half loaf along with the garlic and olive mix that we did not ask for, but they thoughtfully added those extra charges to our bill. Also asked to get angel hair with no sauce instead of the spaghetti marinara with my entree, and was told there may be an upcharge. I received the spaghetti marinara but also received the upcharge of $3. All of the above was due to a very unattentive waiter. Not impressed :("

  • "My wife and I eat out regularly, but always forget about this little hidden gem. Service (Janie) was excellent and food was incredible. I ordered a special of the night - butterfly split 9 oz filet with seafood stuffing. I usually like my steaks plain, but thought I'd try something different...WOW! I'm glad I got outside of my comfort zone. It was incredible!"
