We had chicken breast and Black Cod, which is definitely a plus for the food. Appritizer we had a was a avocado mixed with crab meat, which is also great. Dessert goes well with coffee. Both were delicious and very well prepared and presented. We also shared a seared scallop appetizer which started us off wonderfully with a decent wine pairing, making the arrival of the enormous entrees a welcome. The only drawback was that we were trying to save room for dessert, but with the more than generous portions of the entrees, there was just no chance. I had passed this place dozens of times, both walking and driving, and never knew it was there!
I'm really glad I found it, because it was easily one of the best places to go for a special occasion. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and she absolutely loved it.
I highly recommend it, with the note that it can be pricey. From the outstanding crab and avocado salad and fish soup to the filet mignon and then the amazing duck egg crème caramel, every bite was magnificent. Even the flavored olive oil to dip the bread was extraordinary. Although it was extremely busy, our corner was fairly quiet and we never felt that we were being rushed. It has still got IT--a varied menu and wine list, atmosphere and top notch service. The food was simply outstanding. We had two different fish dishes, a vegetarian entree and an out of this world dessert to share. We woulnd't have finished it except it was SO good. The atmosphere is elegant and romantic for those so inclined. Now that I have "rediscovered" it, I will definitely go back.
