  • "First of all, go for Happy Hour. There is a girl dressed as a Pan Am flight attendant that comes acround with a portable bar and makes your drinks right in front of you! We came there for the Dine LA menu, and it was a showcase for what this restaurant has to offer. The crusted bass was out of this world. And the doughnuts!! OMG you cannot leave without getting one. Can't wait to come back. Hands down, AMMMMAZING!"

  • "...and I will definitely be back!! Even before I tried the DineLA special menu, the ambience was great and I knew I'd want to come back. Our server was fabulous and attentive. He didn't rush us through dinner just because it was a special set menu. There is nothing worse that the courses coming out quickly and one after the other. It was a leisurely and delightful dinner. Great scene. Great food!!! I would love to come back with a group of friends for my birthday dinner!"

It has a seasonal menu that changes but most everything I've had there has been very good and their drinks are very delicious and unique. They have dim sum and the best part is they have some carts that are pan am airport carts with the cart girl dressed like an old Pan Am flight attendant. Very Trendy and a great place to see and be seen."

  • "Shrill girls in too-short skirts and platform heels throwing back novelty drinks dispensed by a Pan Am costumed cocktail waitress. Uninformed waitstaff -- kitchen is decent but atmosphere overwhelmingly detracts. Go for a drink if you are in a ridiculous mood."

  • "We were looking forward to trying this well reviewed restaurant but the poor and slow service as well as the less than exciting menu were disappointing. Few food carts came to our table over 3hrs and when we asked our server we were told she. Had no control over their service and when the kitchen gets busy, the carts disappear. Very disappointing. The noise level is very hight so much so that conversation across the table for our larger group was nearly impossible."

  • "Food was good but I do not feel the need to go back. I made the reservation a week and half in advance and also noted it was my husband's 40th birthday. When we got there the place was busy but not packed. No one was waiting for a table. We were sat at the furthest table right next to the kitchen and the busing station. I was a bit disappointed by this. I asked to move and they were polite about it. Our other disappointment was the lack of dim sum carts. We would see them, they would come close to our table but never quite make it. I made a comment to our server about it but by the time she could get a few to our table we were almost done with our entrees and not hungry."

  • "Service was terrible, food fair but very expensive, the noise was huge, the waitress was fine but the bus boy didn't have a clue about service, I send a dirty plate back...he didn't trust me, and I got a wet plate instead which he touched it all over along with my silverware. We had to ask for bread, it was never offered... it came after we finish the dinner! I can write complaints for ever.... WHAT A BAD RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE!"

  • "Tasty, trendy "small plate" cuisine in a hip, loud setting. Grotesquely overpriced, however: $7 for 2(!) unexceptional parker rolls? $6 for a single spring roll or 5 tiny popcorn shrimp or half a cob of corn on a stick? $17 for 5 or 6 skimpy pierogies? The dim sum cart concept is cute, but doesn't quite work in practice -- the carts don't come by nearly as often as they should, the selection is limited and it's unclear how the dim sum bites are meant to be integrated with the rest of the menu -- and I'd be surprised if it lasts. I'm not sure what the deal was with the woman dressed in a flight attendant's outfit (ironically, I presume) pushing around a Pan Am airline cart, but I doubt we'll be going back to find out..."

  • "The only disappointment was the dumpling cart only came around once and we were there for an hour. It's a unique element to the restaurant that they really stress and talk about when you first are seated and then to not really be offered anything for nearly the entire meal was a let down. Our server could not have been nicer though and the food was really tasty. I'm not sure I'll rush back, but I'm sure I'll eat there again!! :) "

  • "What an amazing restaurant. We were traveling from Calgary and a girlfriend who lives in la introduced us this great gem. The atmosphere staff and food were amazing and all of us commented that this was by far the best dining experience we have all had. From the amazing drinks to the great tasting food. These 4 foodies had an amazing experience. The resturant manager was more then kind and made our night so enjoyable. Do not leave LA without eating here. Great for any group."

  • "Love the space and the vintage kitsch. This was their first brunch and they need to work out a few more kinks. I.E. the drink cart...one is NOT enough. Eggs benedict a bit too salty, the pancake souffle not a lot of taste but will definitely go back!"

  • "My boyfriend and I made reseravations for our anniversary dinner, but we ended up enjoying sitting at the bar and making new friends while waiting for our table we just stayed there. The Panko crushed seabass is to die for. My absolute favorite dish as well as the variety of items on the dim sum carts! Great energy and great wait staff."

Favorite part was the Panam girl who made the otter pops that come with alcohol! Best one is the Hawaiian punch which is the one she recommended. Great vibe. Great food... Just be careful with how much you sample because it does get pricey. "

  • "Great variety of dishes, perfect for sharing. The pork belly is heavenly, as are the donuts for dessert. Another gem is the rock shrimp scampi fusulli pasta. The manager was very friendly and sat down and chatted with us. She also comped a couple of items that we were not completely satisfied with. The atmosphere is unique and lovely. Very inviting, like a living room, but also with a lively night-life scene."

  • "I was impressed as soon as we arrived as we were told by the hostess (politely) that the restaurant did not open until 5:30 and it was only 5:10. As we headed out the door to wait until they opened we were called from behind by whom I think was one of the owners. He invited us to wait at the bar until the restaurant opened. We were then caught totally off guard when we ordered margarita's and an attractive server dressed like a 1960's airline stewardess pushed a Pan Am airline cart over to the bar with bottles of Tequila on it to mix our drinks. We then ordered some very interesting food items from their bar menu along with dim sum carts pushed around at regular intervals. My favorite was the fried green tomato sliders."

  • "My experience at the Church Key was amazing... the waiter was very helpful and give us the tips to combine 5 dishes for for 2 people. Becoz the people from Brazil are not very familiar with this type of restaurant, where you can order small dishes to share. In this case our waiter helped us to order salad, pasta and meat. Don'f forget to get de Pan AM booze, in Brazil our "sacolé", but this one comes with alcohol, its soo good and refreshing."
