The duck breast was horrible; very undercooked despite my request for it to be done more (chef recommends rare??) and the serving was paltry, three tiny slices; the accompanying purée was watery and tasteless. Should have sent it back but didn’t want to delay our dinners. The other entrees were OK; overall very disappointing, for an astronomical price.

The Belvedere restaurant exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely exceptional. The steak and eggs were cooked to perfection with the steak, tender, juicy and full of flavor. The corn beef hash with equally impressive, perfectly seasoned with a wonderful balance of flavors. What really stood out was the texture: the crispy, crunchy corn beef paired beautifully with the hashbrowns creating the perfect bite. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, and the quality of the food made for a memorable experience. I can’t wait to return.

The place was very nice, everything—tablecloths, tableware, ambiance, lighting—was perfect. The initial waitress looked impeccable (although she disappeared later); we were only served by the waitress. The food was very disappointing; the eggs Benedict were the worst I've ever had, with stale bread, burnt ham, and ordinary eggs… I think they have a problem in the kitchen. I don't know if they generally have trouble serving high-end foreigners, or if it's very strange that the waitress was relegated to serving the table

Sat us at table and 5 minutes after we sat down a man was seated next to us with two dogs. Suppose to be an elegant place and I did not want to sit next to dogs. I’m allergic They ended up moving us to another table Server brought us a dish we did not order Never got bread that I was suppose to Took my friends latte away before she had finished Not good Disappointed to say the least

It was a very disappointing brunch from this restaurant. Food selections were limited (and not brunch-y) and the price outrageous for what you got. Serve was also not on par with the property.

FAQs

The Belvedere is refined and art-filled with a classic French-country, Southern California luxury feel. Guests commonly praise gracious, attentive service and a relaxed yet polished atmosphere, ideal for celebrations and special meals. It can feel lively and festive during brunches, holidays or large parties, while weekday mornings and quieter dinners feel intimate and calm.

Yes, The Belvedere accommodates private parties and larger group events. Guests mention large tables and special arrangements for parties of eight and up, and restaurant information confirms private-party options. Contact the restaurant for details on private-room availability, group menus, and capacity when planning an event.

Yes, The Belvedere is a strong pick for date night. The restaurant’s elegant European-brasserie setting, attentive service and art-filled dining room create a romantic, polished atmosphere. Many guests praise the attentive servers (Lyle, Sergio, others) and enjoy the patio or bar for a pre- or post-dinner drink. It’s especially nice for special occasions, book ahead and consider a corner table or patio seating for the most intimate experience.

Busiest: weekend brunches and holiday services (Christmas, Easter, New Year’s) and times with large celebratory parties, guests often report lively, crowded service then. Quietest: weekday mornings and midweek lunches tend to be calmer and more relaxed. If you prefer a quieter meal, aim for weekday breakfast or an early weekday dinner.

Families are welcome and the restaurant routinely hosts birthdays, family brunches and larger gatherings, with private-party options available. Guests frequently celebrate holidays and special occasions here, and many mention patio seating and well-spaced tables. Specific information about ADA-accessible seating or wheelchair access isn’t provided in the available data, call ahead to confirm accessible seating or to request family-friendly arrangements.

The dress code is smart casual. Guests report a mix, some dress up for special occasions while many dine in comfortably polished casual wear. For celebratory dinners or holidays, guests often dress a bit more formally; for breakfast or brunch, business-casual or smart-casual attire is common.

Yes, guests frequently mention a lovely patio/terrace and outdoor seating for brunch and dinner. Reviews praise the patio for relaxing brunches and note alfresco dining for celebrations. If you prefer outdoor seating, request patio seating when you make your reservation since it’s popular, especially for weekend brunch and nice-weather dining.

For a quieter experience, weekday breakfasts or weekday lunches are the best bets, guests note peaceful, unhurried mornings midweek. If you want lively energy and the classic Champagne brunch vibe, go for weekend brunch (Sat–Sun), but expect it to be busier and festive. For special occasions or holiday meals, reserve early since holidays and event days fill up fast.

Portions lean toward refined, upscale plating rather than oversized portions. Guests describe well-executed multi-course dishes and shareable mains (for example, a Big Cowboy steak for two), while a few noted that some higher-priced items felt small. Expect thoughtful, restaurant-quality portions typical of contemporary European dining, consider sharing a few plates or ordering a steak-for-two if you want heartier servings.

The Belvedere is open daily for breakfast and has set lunch, brunch, and dinner times: Breakfast daily 6:30 am–11:00 am; Lunch Mon–Fri 11:00 am–2:00 pm; Brunch Sat–Sun 11:00 am–2:00 pm; Dinner Tue–Sat 5:00 pm–9:00 pm. For holiday hours or special events (Easter, Christmas, New Year’s), check with the restaurant directly as they sometimes run special service and menus.

Yes, the staff regularly accommodates celebration details and dietary requests. Guests report the team arranging complimentary desserts for anniversaries and offering gluten‑free bread; the restaurant also hosts private parties and special menus. Call ahead to request seating (patio, corner table), dietary needs, celebration touches, or private-party arrangements so the team can prepare.

Yes, the Belvedere operates special holiday service on many public holidays (guests describe Christmas Day, Christmas Eve menus, Easter brunch and New Year’s events). Because holidays often feature special menus and heavier crowds, reserve well in advance and check with the restaurant for exact holiday hours and offerings.

The Belvedere offers several seating options: an elegant indoor dining room, a patio/terrace for outdoor dining, and a connected bar area. The restaurant also accommodates private parties and larger groups, guests report large tables for events and celebrations. If you have a seating preference (patio, corner table, private room), call ahead to request it when you book.

Yes, families and kids dine here, and guests frequently celebrate birthdays and family brunches. The atmosphere accommodates multigenerational groups (holiday dinners, brunches), though the menu is contemporary European rather than kid-focused, so there isn’t a clearly advertised kids’ menu. For younger children consider an early seating or booking a private table and call ahead about menu flexibility.

It depends on your goal: for a festive, classic brunch experience go Saturday or Sunday when the free-flow Champagne brunch is active; for a quieter, relaxed visit choose a weekday (especially weekday breakfast) when guests report a calm, unhurried atmosphere. For special events or holiday dining, plan and reserve well in advance.

The restaurant can get very busy and guests recommend reservations, especially for weekend brunch, holidays and large parties. Several guests reported long waits or overbooking issues (45+ minute waits or slow seating on busy days), so booking ahead and arriving on time helps. If you’re visiting on a holiday or for a large celebration, confirm your reservation and ask about waitlist or guaranteed seating policies.
