Diner Reviews
  • "My first time at Bazaar was amazing. My friend and I split 5 different veggie plates; we each had our own meat plate and finished with hot chocolate mousse for dessert (Highly recommend!!) I read a lot of reviews before we went, and I learned one thing... make sure you balance your order with things that will fill you up, IE Cauliflower Couscous. I didnt find the food too salty, again it depends on what you are ordering. The staff was GREAT and very attentive. The ambience is really fun and different. We sat at a table looking at the chefs in the kitchen, which was fascinating to watch them create these lovely plates. I want to go to the SAAM room for my birthday (21 course meal for $150 per person). Expensive, but worth it!"

  • "We had heard from many friends how excellent The Bazaar was and we were not disappointed. Both my wife and I really loved everything - on both the traditional as well as the Modern Tapas menu. The interior design of the space fits beautifully with the food. Everything is very comfortable. After dinner we retired to the dessert area and had some spectacular chocolates and a grapefruit with honey and olive oil ice cream. It was amazing."

  • "Overall a perfect evening, wonderful on all levels. Food, service and comfort."

  • "Unusual Tapas menu, great selection. Sangria is absolutely outstanding, with fresh strawberries and oranges. Would recommend as special occasion dinning only,"

  • "Top notch. We were there for my birthday (70th), and it was one of the finest restaurant experiences in all those years. And we have had many of them."

  • "Unique delicious food. On the expensive side for small portion plates but for special occasions or you are on vacation, it is a must do. The ambiance is unique also."

  • "The creativity and simplicity will blow your mind and your taste buds."

  • "Great restaurant to try several different tapas with friends. Suggest you leave it up to the waiter. ours really knew the menu and suggested great combinations."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "It might sound odd at first to be told that the recommended order amount is 3-4 plates per person. It turns out that turns out to be the correct goal because every bite of every dish is as delightful to the eye as it is to the palette! The Bazaar menu is both delightful to vegetarians and traditional diners. It's impossible to describe the unique menu items and the attention to details the able staff accomplishes with the presentation. The Bazaar is a restaurant to run to as soon as you can so you can create a reason to return."

  • "Had a great experience at Bazaar! I'm a total foodie and love trying new things!! Everything on the menu has it's own unique taste, filled with flavors! Tip: If you're on a budget, this isn't a place to come get "full" from dinner...it's more like drinks and great snacks!!!"

  • "We enjoyed a nice evening at Bazaar. The portions were very small but most of the dishes were enjoyable. I would not go back unless somebody else was paying. I think this is a special occasion place and not in anyone's regular rotation."

  • "The place is good if you want to be seeing or say you where at.... It is way too expensive for what it is yet most of this type of restaurants are expensive in LA. In Spain Jose Andres wont be famous for that. Ever wonder why he is in USA an not in Europe? Because food is more important than popular places and "friendly waiters" who pay attention to you when paying and tipping time is near. Is not good for groups, great for lunch"

  • "Good food and ambience! We had a great time. Try the drinks!"

  • "I had not been to Bazaar for over a year and it remains one of the high points of dining in LA. It has lost some of its "hip" status which is fine because the food is still phenomenal and now just a bit easier to get a table."

  • "It was our 24th Anniversary & this place made it extra special!! It's straight out of Alice in Wonderland inside & the food is amazing!! Olives that aren't really olives & Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches that aren't sandwiches at all! So much fun & such an exciting concept! It wasn't just dinner, it was entertainment!!"

  • "Your senses will be on constant engagement. The staff were full of energy, the food was a diverse and exceptional journey, and the space was magnificent."

  • "This was our first visit to The Bazaar and we loved it. The entire meal of tapas was spectacular. We especially like the Philly Cheese steak and the Caprese salad. The cocktails were perfect and my gin and tonic was beautiful."
    Dined on 6/23/2014
  • "WOW is all I can say!! The tapas were amazing from traditional to modern. The vibe in the place was ALIVE!!! To be escorted to the dessert room was a huge surprise. Loved everything about it. Thank you Jose Andres."

  • "The atmosphere is great ...but The server was weak ... The food was too salty and after we payed our outrageous bill $$$$ ... We drive strait to In n Out Burger ! I will never recommend this place ."
    Dined on 6/23/2014
  • "The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the wait staff is attentive, but there's delay in the flow of the dishes and drinks. The food was pedestrian at best. Deconstruction does not necessarily deliver exquisite food. Go for the club like atmosphere and cocktails but got elsewhere for dinner first."

  • "A 5 star in Tapas crafting, Great mix of the best tasting seafood, phillies and dessert extravaganza!! The manager MR.Sosa make our anniversarry dine out a unforgettable experience."

  • "One of the most interesting and fabulous dining experiences of my life."

  • "The food was top notch and the service was outstanding. My date has a few food allergies that out server was not only knowledgable about but was able to make terrific suggestions to help us negotiate them. It was loud so don't expect much in the way of romance and it was most definitely a "scene" but that just made the dinner conversation all the more interesting ;-)"

  • "My friend and I went to Bazaar for my birthday and had a great time. The décor by Philippe Starcke was really interesting and vibrant. The service was very friendly and attentive. We like to try new and different things and all the service staff was great at sharing their opinions; which we love. The food and ambiance were very enjoyable. I would definitely go again to try other things."

  • "Bazaar definitely has a wow factor when you first walk in. It's like walking into a museum, there is so much to look at. The menu is great and so is the cocktail list. However, our server was horrible. Thankfully we had grabbed drinks at the bar, because it took him over 20 minutes for our server to great us. He was not very friendly when we asked for recommendations and we had to remind him to grab us water three times. Hopefully, the rest of Bazaar's staff isn't as bad as our server because the drinks, food and ambience are wonderful. The poor service ruined our experience and I was really looking forward to this night."

  • "If you like unique food options, then this is the place for you! Everything is unlike any other, and it's all great quality. Everything on the menu tastes excellent, and you leave this place feeling satisfied."

  • "I brought my family here for my graduation celebration and parents' birthdays. My sister and I have dined there many times, but this visit was particularly outstanding because of our incredible server Raj. He is a master at guiding guests through the extensive menu, anticipating needs, putting all in great spirits and being a supreme liaison to the kitchen. All were so impressed. The host Rebecca and all the support staff were also incredibly gracious. Cheers!"

  • "Not all the food was knock you off your shoes great but they were all good and one can appreciate the modern twist they added to the dishes. The dishes are small (tapas style) so the recommended number of dishes are about 4 per person unless you order an entree. Definitely worth the experience but not an everyday type of place to eat."

  • "Fantastic food, both traditional and cutting edge. Service was phenomenal, feel free to trust your server to plan your meal out for you if you aren't sure how to narrow the choices down. Desserts, wow, plan on taking some of the cookies and candies home with you. Wasn't sure about the seating arrangements (long, family style tables that have multiple parties sitting at them), but after the first few seconds of awkwardness, it worked out fine. Would definitely go back to The Bazaar, whether I am staying at the SLS or not."

  • "I am in love with this restaurant. It is always busy. The food and drink list is amazing. Very unique dining experience. Atomosphere is just as unique and trendy. Have been here several times, never disappoints."

  • "Was sat at patio. Towards end of dinner, other diners were smoking cigars and cigarettes. Disgusting. Should have been warned or given choice!!! Not my first time patroning this place, maybe last ..."

  • "Yes it's cheesy and filled by tourists but it's so much fun and the food is special."

  • "Sadly, we used to LOVE the Bazaar but the food has really gone downhill. Not sure if there's been a change in the kitchen, but almost every seemed to be prepared with a heavy hand of salt. Even the special dirty martini tasted like a salt lick. Very sad because we have been enjoying and recommending this restaurant for years. Seems as if the trend is catching on because on a normally busy Thursday night, the place seemed to have quite a few empty tables. Perhaps it's time for a new concept? Too bad. "

  • "I've been to many of the best restaurants in the Western world and Jose Andreas' The Bazaar at the SLS in Beverly Hills is at the top of my list for food quality and ingenuity. Absolute musts: American Sturgeon Caviar cone, Philly Cheesesteak, Jamon, Green Olives with liquid olive, Caprese salad with liquid mozzarella, Poached egg with mashed potatoes (can't remember name), and Buratta salad with hazelnuts. However, I am not anywhere near as impressed by his Miami location which opened about two years ago. Haven't been to the new Vegas location yet. "

  • "Amazing. You have to order the right things. We do every time we go ( it's been about 60 times) and every single thing we order was ridiculously good. Philly cheesesteak, caviar cone, bagel lox cone, beef cheeks, chicken and dates, jicama guacamole, hamachi crudo and a MUST - the caperainia drink they make table side. And def an extra Philly cheesesteak to end with before ordering dessert. Dessert - apple saffron thing and the salted caramel. We LOVE this place and the people that work there. "

  • "The atmosphere was great while eating, they do suggest sending you to a more 'loungy' area if you are staying for dessert. I would have preferred to stay where we were as the lounge was to bright for my tastes for a dinner dessert."

  • "Bazaar is an unusual, fun "scene". The crowd was on the youngish side (late 20's, early 30's), food sophisticated and good. Tapas with a twist. The Brussels Sprouts salad with "lemon air" sounds weird but was really delicious. Everything we ate was good. We also had an excellent Tempranillo the the sommelier helped us pick out. "

  • "This was one of my worse restaurant experiences ever, very creative but no taste and the service is bad really bad. If you want a real Caipirina go to Rio, Don't waste your money at his place, the portions are small tasteless. "

  • "The Bazaar is my favorite restaurant in the US, hands down. Let the waiter guide you on what to select, they are never wrong!"

  • "I can't recommend this restaurant enough. The food is amazing. The space is so much fun. The service is wonderful. Expensive, yes. Worth it, you bet. If you get a chance, go and make sure you order the mussels, tortilla espanola, and Philly Cheesesteak. To die."
