  • "We have always had good service, a good meal and a good time at The Tavern."

  • "Hadn't been for a while. My companion picked the turkey croissant and deemed it delicious. I couldn't choose between two picks so I asked our server to surprise me. OMG the ancho beef sliders were out of this world. Thank you, Mr. Manning, for providing such a great restaurant and hats off to the chef."

  • "The legend continues! Kelly and Anthony really got "it right" from day one. Everything about both Tavern Restaurants is five stars. Service is superb and food is served in a timely manner. Everything is hot and bursting with flavor. Have been there close to 100 times since they opened and have always left ver satisfied. If you've never been, GO NOW! Also this is the most handicapped friendly restaurant in town! Bill McKee"

  • "The Tavern in the Village has a great lunch menu, with a lot of variety from sandwiches to entrees. I had the special Chicken Chipotle sandwich and it was quite tasty. Very tender seasoned broiled chicken on a toasted hoagie bun, with a nice sauce and garnishes. Decent, hot French Fries were served with it. I also had a spicy Chicken soup served with a dallop of sour cream that was quite spicy, but really yummy. Very attentive service."

  • "Great spot close to home. This location has been many things, this is the first one that really captures the feel of the neighborhood, and appears to be doing very well. Always busy. Consistently very good food and service."

  • "Since moving back to this area, we have dined here several times and although it is quite a drive from our home….always a pleasure. Food is delicious with lots of choices and everyone is friendly, helpful and unobtrusive!! Haven't been for lunch, but assume it is equally as wonderful an experience."

  • "The food at the Tavern is excellent; however, the service is pretty slow. It is not a place for a romantic dinner, as it too noisy for an "intimate" dining experience. For our group on Saturday, it was the right venue, energetic and lively. Of course, I would recommend the Tavern, but I do think the turn around time for the food being served is way too long."

  • "Been to the Tavern 5 or 6 times. However, latest dinner was a major disappointment. The clam chowder soup was watery and tasteless, not served hot. The Asian Chicken was also very bland and the 'vegetable rice' was not well prepared, very mushy, almost soupy. The chicken was springy/spongy and also bland. Another in the group ordered salmon and indicated 'not well prepared', dry and not hot. The spinach wasn't cooked properly. Sorry to be so negative, but the dinners were honestly a disappointment."

  • "Excellent food and service on every visit. One of our favorites!"

  • "Asked for a booth, and got one, but it was the one by the hostess desk. As it was 7:00 on Friday night, we had to literally scream at each other to hear. Other than that, it was good."
    Dined on 3/21/2014
  • "The service is always professional, and the food consistently good. This is a go to for a neighborhood dinner or entertaining guests from out of time. A hundred plus dinners and NEVER disappointed."

  • "My family, which includes two young kids, probably eats at the Tavern in the Village way too much! We just love the reliable service and the wonderful staff who takes care of us especially with the little ones (ages 1 and 2). We really like the owner Kelly who comes by to greet us every time we see him there. Even on a 'date night' my husband and I like the place for the relaxed, fun bar scene. We always see people there that we know. I highly recommend this place!"

  • "Whether it's lunch with a client or dinner with my wife and friends, the Taverns (both Mission Farms and the Village) never disappoint. Great food and and exceptional service. Thanks"

  • "I had family in from out of town and was looking for some place tasty and casual. This spot has never disappointed and this time was no different. Great food for value and attentive waitstaff. Definitely will continue dining at this neighborhood spot."

  • "This was my 3rd time at The Tavern. The food was superb each time I was there.Had a outing for two fiends for there birthday, 5of us, and they thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Reservation were at 7:30 and we were seated promptly. I requested the waiter (Jeff ) that has served us before, because he was extremely knowledgeable of the menu, wine.and actually remembered what I had the time I was there before. He was very accommodating and I definitely recommend asking for him. l. I would recommend this restaurant any time Thanks to the staff at Tavern on the Village and especially Jeff our waiter Earnest Patric"

  • "I have now been many times to this restaurant , for lunch, brunch and dinner, with the whole family or just the two of us. The service is always excellent and the food consistently good. Also very nice that they change the card and have interesting new choices (the tomato soup with goat cheese hopefully will stay on it for a long time), but still leave some favorites on."

  • "We celebrated my son's 24th birthday the other night at Tavern in the Village. My son was greeted with a "Happy Birthday" by the hostess which made his day. Our waiter was awesome (very friendly and attentive), the food was amazing and my son loved his complimentary dessert! I will definately visit again!!!"

  • "Food was fantastic - I had the fish tacos - and the service was adequate. A quaint warm cozy establishment on a cold night - I'll be back!"

  • "Pour party of 4 was seated immediately for our reservation. Server was Kaluki, who was well informed, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Upon her recommendation we tried the Jerk Pig Wings. They were delicious, however just enough for two. Calamari was decent too. Cosmopolitan and wines were nice. Our entrees included: shrimp, salmon, a sandwich and not sure about the fourth. All very very tasty. We will return!"

  • "We enjoyed the food and the service, but my party of 3 could hardly enjoy conversation. It was VERY noisy. I won't go back anytime soon."

  • "Excellent food; great service; reasonably-priced; convenient parking! What more could you want?"

  • "What a great evening. Loved the casual yet sharp air of the restaurant. The service was pretty much as good as it gets. Food was well prepared, on time and excellent. My wife and I were really pleased with the entire evening. We are certain to be back. If it were in the neighborhood, we'd be there weekly."

  • "we were disappointed with not having a fun menu for valentines dinner but we did enjoy the linen table clothes and small two top"
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "This was a first visit for my wife and I and we will return often. Food was fantastic and the service matched. I had the Osso Bucco which was perfect - simply fell off the bone. Only down side was that it did not include a utensil to scoop the marrow from the bone. I highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "Sunday brunch is a time for family to gather and reconnect and the Tavern is a great place to do brunch. The spacing is not crowded so you have a sense of privacy. It is predictably high quality traditional leaning breakfast with a flair so as not to be routine. The fresh squeezed juice is wonderful. Service is a coordinated team effort."

  • "Not your average diner breakfast. Great food reasonably priced."

  • "The food has been excellent every time I've dined there. The food wasn't hot this time, nonetheless it was flavorful, well prepared and ascetically appealing. The waitress was engaging and attentive without being annoyingly ever present. This is an ideal place for virtually every dining event."

  • "As usual, our experience was exactly what we needed. Our group label we used was "cozy". While it was energetic, it is easy to have extensive conversations without getting loud. That seems to be difficult for restaurants to manage these data, but The Tavern in the Village does it splendidly! Thank you!"

  • "I was so pleased that they included the Brunch for Restaurant Week."
    Dined on 1/26/2014
  • "We saw a news report about restaurant week from your location and traveled from Liberty and St Joe to check it out for early dining on Saturday. We all had the restaurant week specials, all delicious and the guys were impressed with your beer selections. Loved the pumpkin dessert!"

  • "This is only my second time to visit Tavern in the Village and I must say I was not disappointed. The food was delicious and priced accordingly. Our server was warm and friendly. She was attentive but not too pushy. This visit certainly pushes this neighborhood restaurant to the top of my favorites list."

  • "Our disappointment - we were on time for our reservation. There were open booths - when we asked to be seated in one, we were told those were being held for other reservations. We were led to a table near the back (kitchen and restroom entrances). I had no idea that we were supposed to request a booth in the invitation - did not see that option when making the reservation. A member of our party was very disappointed."

  • "The other couple and my wife and I had never been to this restaurant but decided to try someplace different. All four of us were very pleased with our dining experience. As we waited by the bar, the noise level of the conversations was fairly high. But as we had Open Table reservations, we were soon seated in the dining area where the noise level was low and allowed good conversation. The waiter was very good and answered our questions. The wine list was small but had a variety of good options. Our meals were all excellent and the desserts were exceptional (the sugared donut holes were really good!). All in all, the experience exceeded our expectations, and we will look forward to dining there again."

  • "We go to the Tavern in the Village for almost every special occasion - all of our family birthdays and anniversaries. And, if we are meeting friends for dinner, we often recommend the Tavern. We have NEVER been disappointed with our food choices .... it has all been delicious. And, the service is always great, too. We WILL be back !!! :)"
