Diner Reviews
  • "We really enjoyed our dining experience at Table 50. This was our first time dining here, and we actually were having a dinner meeting with business associates. So we were hoping everything would turn out well. We were not disappointed. Our guest thoroughly enjoyed his mussels, and salad w/ extra anchovies! We ordered the crab cakes which was delicious and my husband ordered the Ahi-Tuna which he loved. Our server was very attentive and responsive to our requests. I would recommend this restaurant to others and I'm sure we will be back. If I had one negative comment, it would be that the pecan pie was slightly overcooked."

  • "Highly recommend! Great food, Pete our waiter, was very attentive and went out if his way to get us some intel on a great IPA they had on tap. The place was very busy with a very large party 25+ people right next to us but you would never have know because our table service was impeccable! Great atmosphere, terrific food and supurb Waite Staff. What's not to love! Will come back next time I am in Roanoke !!"

  • "Going to see a show at Mill Mountain Theater? Have your dinner here! I've been talking up the gnocchi app to any one who will listen! Split it with a friend however, as it is rich! They will stay your friend, I promise you. They had Hunters stew the other night. I wish they had it every night. Best I've ever had. Vegetarians you had best skip it, unless you are in the mood for cheating. It was good, with a really savory but light broth. Nothing to heavy. Nice dining here. Oh and the service really is outstanding."

  • "The food at Table 50 is always great. We love going here for not only special occasions but for an evening when we want to have an amazing meal. This restaurant never lets us down. The quality of food and the quiet atmosphere of the restaurant is what sets them apart from others."

  • "Crab bisque was excellent, desserts were great, ribeye was mostly fat....disappointing!"

  • "Have dined here before and usually very good. Service this time was very slow. Only three tables in restaurant were full but still very unresponsive to refilling water, drinks, etc. Food was good. "Gentlemen" at bar with their dates were very loud, dropping f-bomb several times which could be overheard in the dining area. Probably will not dine here again."

  • "great food and service though felt a little rushed at times."

  • "Our first visit to Table 50 was a wonder. I had not realized that this gem was hidden behind the vendor tables on Market Street. We sampled the salmon with Chicago butter sauce - excellent - and the tender, flavorful steak. We had been advised to try the crab cakes. We did this with trepidation since both of us grew up in Maryland where the blue crab is worshiped. We were not disappointed. The taste and texture were both subtle. The fine but mild flavor of the crab was not over-whelmed by spices. The service was as good as the food. We will be back to check out some of the other menu offerings."

  • "We went for restaurant week and it was delicious. Table 50 is one of our favorite restaurants and as always, it didn't disappoint. There were several options (many more than comparable restaurants in downtown Roanoke) on the restaurant week menu. Service was great, as usual. Will definitely be back many more times!"

  • "2nd time eating there and the portions are just too small for the price. They aren't pricey but for the size of the portions it does seem like too much. Our food was cold both times we went and we're not sure why. Seems like a cool spot but we won't go back and wouldn't recommend it as a top spot."

  • "Went on New Year's eve with two other couples. It was very full and the staff was challenged to meet the demand, but they were up for the challenge. Service was very good when it easily could not have been since they were so busy. The food was excellent as always!"

  • "Spatzle was fried and hard with no flavor. Ceaser salad had whole raw cloves of garlic that were inedible. Half of our party did not even finish them. Had the roasted beet salad and it was very good. Crab bisque was on point. Made point to our server I just wanted the kitchen to know the ceaser was not good and all he said was he was sorry. Never once saw a manager. We were the only seven top among fours tops and dueces. Duck was cooked properly, steaks were cooked to Medium-rare. Desserts were pretty unimpressive. Had the bread pudding and creme brule duo. Thursday night at 730 and they were out of smoked gouda mashed and mustard rubbed pork tenderloin. Nothing special here. Might return for drinks and an appitizer, won't be back for dinner"

  • "after many suggestions we gave Table 50 a try. so glad we did, the service was perfect from the hostesses at the front door all the way to the waiter. The food & drinks, AWESOME. would definitely return and suggest to others."

  • "We had a 6:00 reservation for two. We got there at 5:55 and there was a couple without reservations in front of us that were escorted to the back dining room. We were then seated at a table against the wall in a overcrowed, very noisy bar where the ambience for an enjoyable dinner was dreadful. They said there were no other tables available so we elected to leave and ended up going to Frankies where the ambience, service and the food was wonderful!"

  • "Our favorite restaurant. With our travels we still have not found a restaurant that we enjoy more."

  • "The service was very slow both from the bar as well as the kitchen with drinks and food arriving in stages rather than all together. May have been because there were 10 of us but we did have reservations so they should have planned ahead. In spite of that the food and drink was excellent."

  • "We came in from out of town visiting Black Dog Salvage. We asked them for a suggestion, Mike recommended Table 50. It was walking distance from the Hotel Roanoke, where we were staying. The menu looked great. The scallop special and steak special caught our eyes. Go with the specials they are Excellent! The cream sauces are amazing. The service was fantastic. We will be back the next time we are in town."

  • "The scallop appetizer was fishy but the sweet potato gnocchi was pretty good. The crawfish risotto was too spicy and by the way, it isn't the 6 dollars it says on the menu, it is 13.00. They don't tell you that. I got the grouper and it was bland but my fellow diners got the Filet Bienville and it was very good. For dessert we got the creme brulee and the chocolate mousse torte. They were both tremendously good as well. All in all it seems they have some good dishes and some not so good dishes. It is a small restaurant but very nice with the original tin ceiling. Also, the waiter was very attentive, nice to look at, and being that it was my birthday, I appreciated that very much."
