A word from Summit - The Broadmoor
Designed by acclaimed architect Adam D. Tihany, Summit's contemporary design is inspired by the grandeur of Pike's Peak and provides a stunning counterpoint to the classic elegance of The Broadmoor. Wood, metal, glass, leather and fabrics are used throughout the dining room to evoke a modern, yet natural feel suited perfectly to Summit's bold American Brasserie menu and innovative wine and cocktail program.

It all starts with the finest American ingredients and produce found seasonally around the country, which is combined with classical cooking techniques. Whether it's Colorado corn in September, Nantucket Bay scallops in November, or heirloom tomatoes from the heartland in the summer, Summit's stellar menu of year-round favorites and ever-evolving seasonal selections finds strength in a vibrant nationwide network of top-shelf vendors that provide the kitchen with the best possible ingredients.

Diner Reviews
  • "I have dined here multiple times and the experience keeps getting better. The food is perfect no matter what you order and the wait staff is wicked courteous. I definitely recommend to try something new at the restaurant you wouldn't order normally because you will not be disappointed."

  • "I hosted a group of business associates at The Summit and was very pleased with the overall experience. It has a lovely ambience, and the wine display as you enter the restaurant is very impressive. The appetizers were excellent, and the sommelier was very helpful in navigating the extensive wine list. Service was attentive without being obtrusive. A couple of my guests were disappointed with their entrees -- the angry trout and the roasted tenderloin. I and the other guests were quite pleased. I had the lamb shank, and it was wonderful."

  • "I know frog legs are small, but these were tiny - over-battered and tasteless. It was replaced by their mac'n cheese dish, which did not blow me away either. Wonderful chardonnay and great service. Bread served could have used some variety."

  • "Wonderful and knowledgeable staff. Great bar.great service. 5 star service. We would go back in a heartbeat."

  • "We had a delicious dinner at the Summit. Service by Jeb was outstanding. Attention to detail by everyone involved. Great wine. Fun evening. Highly recommend the Summit."

  • "While the decor and service were great the food was outstanding. The sauces were an especially excellent accent to the main course. The crafted cocktails were unique and excellent as well. The wine list well rounded and contains something for any pallette (and wallet)."

  • "This restaurant had very unique and flavor full dishes. The service was the best. You always had 2 people there wanting to get what you needed."

  • "The food has really gone downhill. Used to be a lot better--made us wonder if there's a new chef. Very disappointing!"
    Dined on 2/28/2014
  • "Very expensive. I hope they keep the prices from going up more by keeping portions small so guests can sample more items. Most dishes were close to perfect while a couple actually were. Service was excellent."

  • "We expect to have great service and great food at the Summit and we get both each time. The truly great feature of this place is that every single person we interact with, starting with the person opening the door, is courteous and professional and not at all stiff or pretentious. The food is also great from start to finish and I would give it 4 and 3/4 stars. Sometimes a cookie is better with a little less filling."

  • "We decided to have our hearts and flowers dinner on Valentine's Eve, which we plan to adopt as a tradition. The Summit is well worth the drive down from Denver even if one is not staying at the Broadmoor. The parking garage makes life much simpler than it once was at the Broadmoor, and one can come directly into the restaurant without going outside. The Angry Trout is not only a delicious, hearty dish, but one of the most imaginatively plated you will ever find. The service is attentive without being codependent like so many restaurants these days, and it is a beautiful, unique room, with every table having a view of the splendor of the Broadmoor."

  • "This was the first time we had eaten at the Summit Room and we dined with good friends. Everything was just perfect for a dining experience. The prices are a little high for our normal dining out but if we wanted to splurge, then the Summit would be the place to go. The food was excellent and nicely prepared, We were certainly pampered with the Waitress and Wine Stewart attention."

  • "I had a wonderful time. A bit noisy on the night I was there because a big table was next to us and they were quite loud, but the service and food was phenomenal! Quite a treat."
    Dined on 2/13/2014
  • "We had ordered the salmon, duck and hamburger. I can speak for the salmon in that it was flavorless, with a half cut potato served with the salmon wrapped in bacon. My husband had the hamburger and he commented that the blue cheese overpowered the hamburger. He said that it tasted like a "blue cheese" sandwich. I expected better flavor and more food for the price. The wine was excellent. The service was also good."

  • "This was one of the best meals we've had in a long time. I am an excellent cook myself, so am somewhat picky when I go out. Never order anything I could make as well at home. This meal far exceeded my expectations!"

  • "Great meal, prepared well. The wine rack and selection is nothing short of phenomenal. Well Done"

  • "The Summit is wonderful. My husband and I have dined here 5 or 6 times and it is always excellent. The atmosphere is lovely, the wait staff is top notch and the food is always fresh, beautifully prepared and delicious. Highly recommend for a special night out!!"

  • "Celebrating a 30th wedding anniversary. Great food, great time."

  • "You're at the Broadmoor. How far can you go wrong? This is an excellent restaurant that doesn't cut corners, yet you can be comfortable and dress casual. Great all around experience. If you get a chance to request a table (I believe I did, but it didn't really work.), request to be along the window at least several tables down from the door if the weather is bad or it will be after dark. At the second table, some headlights would shine at you with people turning in. Not a huge deal, but I'd avoid it if I could."

  • "Dined on a Saturday night celebrating a birthday. We were seated quickly, service was prompt, attentive, but not overbearing. Food was perfectly cooked, beautiful presentation. I would recommend for wonderful food and for a special occaision."

  • "I really enjoyed the food and the service was wonderful. I was a little surprised when we got the bill and there was already the gratuity on the bill. We were only a party of 2, not expecting that. it also was a high tip rate (greater than 25%)"

  • "Summit was great. Broadmoor beautifully decorated for holidays. Highly recommend."

  • "Great food and service is why we keep coming back to the Summit at the Broadmoor. All the dishes were prepared well. We enjoyed the unusual combinations of textures and tastes. Who ever heard of Mac and Cheese with lobster for an appetizer? It was wonderful! The sommelier's wine suggestion went well with the wide range of food we had for five diners. It was a bit crowded, and several loud parties made it hard to talk across the table at times."

  • "This is a great place for everything! We truly enjoyed our experience and the good was amazing!"
    Dined on 1/4/2014
  • "All about our evening was outstanding except for our server that had only two table yet little time to provide proper service. The efforts of the other servers and management staff made up for her shortfalls which led to a good night with just the one service hiccup. All-in-all, good night with good food."

  • "Outstanding food and service. The bartenders recommended some great local beers and mixed great drinks. The waitstaff was simply perfect. They weren't overbearing but they made sure your dining experience was wonderful. The food was excellent while the desert was amazing. I highly recommend The Summit"

  • "We celebrated with our family during Christmas at the Summit on Dec 26. We made reservations on-line a month before our trip. It was a special time with family and an enjoyable time at the Summit. The Summit is a wonderful place to dine and the wine bar was excellent and Michael serviced us with kindness and professionalism. The dining experience was just as great! Thank you Jeb for outstanding service and a wonderful dinner!"

  • "The restaurant was beautiful. Food and service were fabulous. This will be our new go-to restaurant at the Broadmoor. Beef tenderloin and lobster mac and cheese were delicious. It was also a plus that the noise level was low."
    Dined on 12/28/2013
  • "Food was great! But the service was not up to the typical Broadmoor high standards. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait 40 minutes for a table. The waitress was nice but not familiar with the menu. The space is very crowded and the tables are too close together."

  • "We enjoyed dining at The Summit for our 9th Anniversary this year. All the staff knew it was our Anniversary and wished us Congratulations!"
    Dined on 12/18/2013
  • "The menu options were great and flavorful, with the exception of the bacon wrapped salmon. The salmon was not at all fresh, dry and fishy. The service was prompt and courteous."

  • "I had a very special friend that came in from Tennessee and he wanted me to pick a nice place to eat and so I did and I picked the Summit since I had never been there and of course my special friend had never been there before either!! The evening was lovely and we both enjoyed our food and bottle of wine. Thank you all for letting us make wonderful memories!!"

  • "Superb service and fabulous food! After attending a special event at the Broadmoor, we celebrated my wife's birthday at the Summit. The angry trout was exceptional! A "must visit" in Colorado Springs!"

  • "For the amount of money we spent, I found service to be slow and the food mediocre. We were there for over an hour before our entree made an appearance. Our appetizer arrived shortly before that. The best part of the meal was the Mac & Cheese. It was succulent! The main dish was just ok. I would have expected more from such a nice (and expensive) restaurant. The atmosphere was great and the view was beautiful. I would not recommend this place for a romantic night out, but maybe for a group outing with friends."

  • "Our group had an overall great experience at The Summit. Food was excellent, Ambience was great, but service was just ok. . . We found ourselves having to flag servers down for help on a number of occasions. . .more than we should have. . ."
