  • "It seems like service is truly hit or miss. Our waitress was not very friendly and was much more attentive to the surrounding tables than she was to ours. Other wait staff seemed great and were really friendly with their tables. They also gave them great descriptions of menu items, which our waitress did not do. My wife ordered her steak medium, but it came out closer to medium well. The taste was great, just a bit overcooked. My sea bass was cooked well and tasted great."

  • "Overall a really great experience! We've been here a couple times for a business dinner and always leave feeling happy with the service and food! Personally I really love having a drink either in the bar or on the patio... occasionally they have live music which adds to the upbeat and fun ambience. This past visit I decided to try something new and went with the salmon and it a bit overcooked and dry but other than that all steaks, salads and appetizers were delicious!"

  • "I saw this place online and thought it would be a good place to celebrate my wedding anniversary dinner. We were impressed by the great food and drinks. The ambience was nice, dimmed lights with a beautiful wine cellar that made the place look modern. The only disappointment was that the website said enjoy live music; however, that was only by the bar which is on the opposite side of the main dining area. I assumed we would eat and be able to hear the live music but not the case. The prices were good considering the quality of food."

  • "For a special night out with my honey the appetizer was great. We each had a cocktail, which both were tasty but took way to long to receive. I ordered a New York Strip and my boyfriend ordered the Ribeye, both came charred (not seared). The New York Strip was unbearable, leaving on the carbon taste that lingers on your palate. I really don't like to send food back to the kitchen, but the Manager was very friendly and reassured me that they wanted to make sure I got a good meal. The second steak had no sear or caramelization on the steak at all, and no flavor to speak of. I was disappointed after hearing/reading the good reviews and didn't have the heart to tell the manager as he looked so hopeful that the second steak would be better."

  • "We met for a business lunch. The food was very good. I had the three item special for $18. which was a large salad, two large filet sliders and a vegetable. It was more than I could eat. Others had the Cobb salad and a chicken sandwich, both of which looked very good. The ambiance was great for our discussion. We were able to accomplish what we needed while the wait staff efficiently served and cleared without being obtrusive. Overall I thought it was excellent."

  • "We had not visited Sullivans in years and were surprised to discover it half empty on a Saturday night, then quickly learned why. Wine list is ridiculously overpriced, food was amateurish (Caesar salad comprises barely more than lettuce and what appeared to be salad dressing from a bottle, filet was flavorless and overcooked, etc), and service was enthusiastic but trite - clearly they are trained to exclaim "what can I do to make your dining experience PERFECT", but after hearing this line for the fourth time the private rejoinders become "give us gift certificate to somewhere else". Very bad dining experience at fundamental levels."

From the time you walked into the front door, your treated with such an awesome reception...The hospitality was above and beyond.   • "We visited this place for Valentine. It was the worst experience I have ever had. First, our reservation was for 8:30, we arrive 5 mins early, the hostess informed us that our table will be ready in 15 mins. 40 mins gone by, no table. Another 10 mins later, a hostess approached us and advise our table is ready, but it's going to a outside patio table. I rejected it. Later, they bought us into a room where it looked like a cafeteria dinning, and sat us down at a little table by the wall. We did not experience any fine dinning experience. it was worse than bad. Don't waster your money at this place for your special occasion, go with Capital Grill, Trulucks, or even outback steakhouse."

  • "Usually a good place with good food, but Valentine's Day was a complete disappointment. We were ushered into some rear meeting room with very loud music which was not in any way romantic. I could listen to Mustang Sally and the Allman Brothers at very loud volume at any local ice house. To be fair, the food was good, but I would not recommend this restaurant on very busy special occasions unless you want to feel like you're in a herd of cattle."

  • "Of all nights you would think the worst one for service would be Valentine's Day. Oh how wrong you would be. We had a late seating and the restaurant was running behind about 30-45 min. No problem, its valentines day. When we got sat at about 1045 our waitress, Lauren, was an absolutely great mood even though they close at 11. She told us not to worry and enjoy our meal. Throughout the meal she could not have been more helpful and fun. She joked with us and truly made our Valentines dinner the best we had ever had. On looking back at our dinner my wife and I both agreed that it would not have been such a great evening without such an awesome server. THANK YOU LAUREN."

  • "My wife and I have been long time fans of Sullivan's, but it may be time for us to move on. We went the night after Valentine's Day - still during the hectic Valentine's Day weekend. The restaurant opened up their banquet rooms for guests, so instead of the typical ambience we got 4 sterile walls and an overhead projector hanging from the ceiling. The food was OK, the service average, and I'm pretty sure the martini was watered down (I've encountered this the last couple times at Sullivan's). There are too many nice steak houses out there to tolerate mediocrity. PS - the 70's classic rock was pretty cool, but at Sullivan's I'd prefer some Sinatra!"

  • "The Good: Food quality was very good and the steaks were cooked to specifications. The Disappointments: We were seated in one of the normally private dining rooms, which I suppose had been turned into overflow seating for Valentine's Day weekend. The room looked like a hotel banquet room, zero ambiance and the tables for two were so tiny that the waiter had to place our bottle of wine on the table behind us which had been setup as a server's station. He never bothered to come and fill our glasses so my husband would have to reach behind us to get the wine which, we paid $50 for a screw top bottle. When you spend $250 for a meal for 2, you expect a little atmosphere, great service and a wine bottle with a cork."

The bathrooms were in dismal condition."

  • "Overall the experience was very nice. We made reservations way in advance because Valentine's Day was on a Friday this year and we new everywhere would book up quick. When we arrived we were seated immediately, which was nice. However, it took our waiter quite a while to finally make his way over to our table. He was friendly but obviously very busy. The slow service was a trend throughout the evening, but the food was good and the atmosphere was romantic. Overall a very nice Valentine's dinner."

  • "I made this reservation 3 to 4 weeks in advance and asked for a special table for two suitable for a romantic Valentines dinner. We ended up in a room with no windows, a 2x2 lay-in ceiling and a meeting room movable wall. That topped with our filet being served at almost room temperature, though with a ver y good cook for medium rare. I suspect it was the pressure to perform for the Valentines crowd. It was not nearly as nice as we have experienced at other Del Frisco's restaurants."
