Wow this is an absolute must if you live in San Diego or are visiting our beautiful city! My husband and I stopped in here for some appetizers and a cocktail before our family dinner . The staff was very friendly and the service was beyond our expectations. We cannot wait to be back with some friends and enjoy their dinner menu!

We made a 4th of July reservation post fireworks, and the remodel had us starstruck by the light. Everything was amazing. Every staff member was extremely helpful and friendly; even suggesting we tour our drink to roam around and see everything while still allowing us to have a table upon which to return. We sat in a corner booth and had an incredible view of everything including the front door, the bar, the DJ, and the other couples. The food was heavenly, extremely rich. Can’t wait to go back. We ordered: a Starlite Old Fashioned, Space Cadet cocktail, Starlite Mule, Macaroni and Cheese, Roasted Broccoli (boyfriend said it was the best broccoli he had ever tasted), Bison Short Ribs, Roasted Maitake Mushrooms (out of this universe, so amazing), Herb Scalloped Potatoes, Prime Filet (medium rare, and it was perfectly more rare than medium), and of course had to try the Starlite Ice Cream Sandwich with toffee chip cookies, vanilla ice cream, rolled in pistachios. It’s super sexy inside too, really kicks up the mood and brings the vibes. Swanky.

Dannnnnnnnng! What a place. Impressed from the door thereafter. We sat in the “outdoor” patio but it was more like a cave made of mirrors with a stunning waterfall at the end. Wow!!! And then, the food. Say no more. We had the Steak Sampler and my wife who never eats beef ate more than me. The Grilled Wedge, outstanding! Twice baked potatoe, with truffle butter and sprinkled with deliciousness made it the perfect dinner. No, wait, the bottle of wine made it perfect. We will be back, and soon!

It was so nice to see this place alive again after their remodeling. Our dinner was great. From everything we ordered, the Sea Bass dish was my favorite. The cocktails were good, the New Wave was my fave. They also have a small but good beer selection. The service was the best. From a guest perspective, it felt that they have a great team. Finally, we also appreciated the music selection with some classics in the mix.

This was our first visit to Starlite. We had a 5 PM reservation and they really meant it! We were made to until exactly 5 PM, leaving us and several other punctual diners outside waiting for the magic hour. We were not even allowed to wait at the bar! Once inside, Starlite revealed itself as something special. It's like three restaurants in one. The downstairs has an almost space-lounge feel. Upstairs is an airy, open environment that feels like a garden party. Tucked just around the corner from the bar is the unexpected secluded grotto complete with a cascading waterfall. As for the food, we were pleasantly impressed. The French Onion soup was rich and comforting, and the croissant was perfectly flaky. The steak was juicy, tender, and cooked just right. The fries were good. The fish was moist and flavorful. Dessert was a chocolate mousse that had great flavor, though the candied nuts on top and bottom were a way overzealous. The drinks were creative. The only downside of the whole experience was the volume. It was super loud. The music was blaring and guests raised their voices just to be heard. We were the only ones seated in our section and the server could not hear us when we placed our order. The volume was so over the top that it detracted from what could have been a more relaxed, conversation-friendly experience. I wish they’d dial back the music a few notches so guests could fully enjoy the ambiance and each other’s company.

Absolutely fantastic meal. We ordered the mozzarella sticks with creme fraiche and caviar, and they were delicious! For the main we shared the porterhouse steak (which was enough for 4 people even though it said for 2) and got the mac n cheese and broccoli as sides. GET THE BROCCOLI! It is magical. The drinks were also amazingly crafted and the entire ambiance of Starlite is impeccable. Service was a bit slow, but waiters were incredibly kind. Will 1000% be going back!

Great experience! From food to service and a terrific atmosphere, we found this to be a great spot. The only real challenge is with parking. Overall we would highly recommend Starlite. Make sure to check out the entire place!
