Diner Reviews
  • "The food was very different but very good. Seemed to be very true to Lebanese culture. The atmosphere was nice and cheerful. We will definitely go back!"

  • "This was our first visit to Sitti, and we took a friend who was visiting from San Francisco (accustomed to great restaurants). From the appetizers to the dessert, the food was really excellent. I will say the brussel sprouts were a bit hard, but that was a small thing. We really enjoyed ourselves and it's on our "must go back" list. "

  • "I love taking out of town guests to Sitti because it demonstrates that not all good food in the South is fried or unhealthy. The Lebanese cuisine provides great choices for all, from the sophisticated palate to even my husband's taste which is picky and fairly narrow. The food is fabulous and the service exceptional. We visited on a busy Friday night and were happy we had made reservations well in advance. It was hopping, yet the food came out of the kitchen smoothly. Can't wait to go again!"

  • "We brought our guest from California. He loved the food at Sitti. He never had "Halloumi" ( Mediterranean seared cheese topped with dates, roasted almonds, olive oil and fresh thyme) before and loved it very much. We got him "Sitti Tasting" dish which comes with 6 different small dished on the top of large wood board. Very nice sampler of Lebanese dishes and presentation. The service was attentive. We had a great time at Sitti."

  • "We will definitely be back. Everything was delicious! Semi open kitchen which always tells me a lot about a restaurant. Very efficient kitchen that turns orders quickly. So you can go an order some apps or small plates and decide if you want something else, without being there forever. If you like very reasonably price Mediterranean style food that can be shared in a friendly, comfortable environment, which feels trendy but maintains that warm family feel, then you will love Sitti."

  • "Very nice staff, friendly ambience and comfortable. The food is very good, but not great."

  • "Love the food at Sitti. Not your run of the mill fare, everything is very tasty, service is wonderful. The pocket bread apears on the table like magic. Will keep going back again and again. Only draw back I see is I live 45+ miles away! Love you Sitti, keep up the fabulous work and passion for your food culture!"

  • "I had heard good things about Sitti from friends and decided to take my husband there for a birthday celebration. My husband cooks and loves experimenting in the kitchen. However, he often prefers to dine at home and enjoy his own cooking. I knew this experience would need to be something special. It was. The food was delicious, the presentation delightful and the server very friendly and helpful. My husband was impressed and wants to go back and try other dishes. Remarkable."

  • "We had a group of nine celebrating our friend's a 50th birthday. Sitti did a great job of making the celebration memorable. The food was excellent and the service was great as well. We'll definately return."

  • "The food was outstanding and flavorful but not so powerful. The presentation looked awesome Appetizers were so good with the fresh bread I had no room for my great entre (I had the fish special)."

  • "I have been there with various family and friends six times during the last month. Does that tell you something? I love this place and their food especially the pita bread and the sweet potato hummus."

  • "I love this place! I have never had a bad meal and the service is always great! Definitely my favorite restaurant in Raleigh!"

  • "We visit Sitti pretty frequently and are never disappointed. We usually start with the hummus or baba ghanoush and share the kabobs with a side of sitti rice. It's always delicious, highly recommend!"

  • "We were not familiar with Lebanese food so was surprised how good the food was and although a limited main course selection you will be able to fine a very nice entree. We arrived at 6:15 and were seated and the waiter was very good and made sure we were well taken care of during the whole meal. He explain the entrees in great detail and anticipated our needs. Chicken and Salmon dishes were very good. Know one tried the Kabobs. By 7:30 the restaurant was filled up and was quite loud but in an energetic way. I would recommend."

  • "Went for lunch/brunch on a Sunday after church and was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, very good service and moderately priced. Will go back."

  • "Sitti was overall fine, I don't think I would go back however. If you are familar with Raleigh it is a more expensive, more formal version of Neomonde. I don't think the food was that much better though for how much more expensive it is."

  • "We've been to Sitti a few times and it's always pleased. I'm not natively from the Middle East but I've been eating the food with friends from Jordan, Syria and Lebanon since I was 5, and my wife and her family are Armenian, so we have some picky people in the group. Everyone was very well pleased. My preference when I go is to just focus on Mezza. I'll get a couple of plates of hot mezza and a salad (the goat cheese and orange salad is a fantastically balanced dish of greens, cheese and citrus). Combined with their wonderful, small puffed up warm pitas, a good bottle of wine and you have a great dining experience. it's a lively atmosphere, and it does look like they have a great bar, but you can still hear your dining companion."

  • "Food is excellently prepared, tasty and fresh. It is my go-to restaurant when going to theater or concerts downtown. I've had the chicken kabobs, vegetable kabobs, shrimp and salmon - all were wonderful. On my most-recent visit one of our party's vegetable side was missing and was quickly delivered. Service is friendly."

  • "Great food and service, but the Friday night 8:30 dinner crowd cacophony made it just impossible to talk. Also, given that we had a reservation, I expected a better placement than the table next to the door. I have had better experiences dining at lunchtime or weeknights and seated in a booth for four."

  • "We went for a special dinner, and Sitti does not disappoint. The food was excellent, made with care and beautifully plated. Their fresh pita is something to go back for, and that just comes with the table! Made my wife's birthday dinner a rousing success."

  • "Had a lovely okra stew, others in the party tried the sampler and the lamb stew. Our waitress was friendly without being too familiar. We enjoyed the evening."

  • "Met a dear friend here for dinner this week. She's vegan and I am not, and there was plenty of options for both of us. Our waiter was a bit busy, so we had time to chat and catch up before we finally got glasses of wine. Not a problem. We split the traditional hummus over drinks, and it was delicious. Friend had the bowl of lentil soup, which was good, but a little too spicy for her taste, and a small falafel. I had the special, short ribs and asparagus. It was fall-off-the-bone yummy, with a flavorful sauce. We passed on dessert. Bill was $50, can't beat it. Only complaint was it was a little noisy for conversation some times. Tables where we sat were very close. Will be back to try something new next time!"

  • "Really do not like the a la carte new menu! Fully realize that food prices have risen, BUT do not favor the a la carte approach to the needed change. Bring back the old menu. ESPECIALLY BRING BACK THE MIXED GRILL."

  • "My fiance and I love going to Sitti. The food is delicious and the service is outstanding! Every time we go, we comment on how well-trained, polite, and knowledgeable of the menu and Lebanese culture our waitresses are. We can't get enough of Sitti!"

  • "A busy evening scene but lots of fun and noise. We love the open style seating and they can accommodate pretty large groups. (We had 11 with no real issues). The service declined as it got busy (to the point we waited far too long for drinks), but the food was excellent as usual and we had a wonderful time."

  • "For hearing about this restaurant and it's location I really wanted to try it out, I wish I didn't waste my money. Service was okay, food was disappointing and decor was cheap. They charged so much for so little quantity and the meat was horrible. I ordered the labense tasting and it was so tiny for $17 plate and the filet kabab was dry, smelly and bland, I had to force myself to eat because I was so hungry but so dissatisfied! Never again"

  • "Visited after Ballet on Saturday with my 3 teenagers. Everyone found something on the menu that they liked. Good artisan draft beer selection. Service was awesome. Waiter kept our Bread basket full, and was very attentive and friendly. Awesome food and reasonably priced."

  • "And get several! Sitti is my favorite restaurant in Raleigh because of the variety of dishes and flavors. I've never had a bad (or even mediocre) meal. It's where I celebrate birthdays and where I take out-of-town guest. I highly recommend!"

  • "We went to Sitti on a Monday night and discovered their Monday night special of half price bottles of wine. Excellent deal. Also had a great seat right near the window to outside and had a nice view of the evening activity going on downtown. Food was tremendous as well. Must get the hummas."
    Dined on 3/17/2014
  • "Sitti has consistently great food - everything I've had there the handful of times I've been there has been amazing! I adore the pita bread they bring you as an appetizer too. I could probably make a whole dinner out of just that! I really enjoyed the kafta kabob - so good!"

  • "It's great to find a restaurant with very good Mediterranean food! Cheese rolls a great appetizer. Crispy, tender and delicious. I had the Fattah. Tender lamb on a bed of basmati rice and phyllo topped with Greek yogurt. WOW! We were celebrating a birthday. Baklava was served. Not too sweet. All those layers of goodness. The manager even threw in an order of feta cheese dip. Great service, food and atmosphere! I would highly recommend!"

  • "My wife and I and another couple decided to give Lebanese food a try. Our waiter educated us on the various appetizers and entrees, and provided us with some samples to try along with what we ordered. The suggested wine pairings were great, as we're the various dishes we ordered. Dessert was good as well. All-in-all, a great experience !!!"

  • "We were looking for great food, and hopeful for a quiet evening. We got great food, but Sitti is one of the loudest, noisiest restaurants that I have ever been in. We will probably return and tolerate the noise. The food is worth it. I had read that there is seating in the basement. Maybe next time I will ask."

  • "We just moved to Raleigh over Christmas so we are discovering our new favorites. I have a love of ethnic foods so everyone I've met here recommended Sitti so we decided to do my birthday dinner there. Everything was delicious and the service was stellar. The wait staff all knew my name and at the end even thanked me for hosting my birthday dinner there! Such a nice touch. We will definitely be back!"

  • "I was sad to discover the neomonde pita they make at Sitti is not vegan and contains milk. This really limits enjoyment of this place as the pita comes w almost everything. I contacted neomonde and the packaged pita and pita at the n. Raleigh store do not have milk. I don't understand why there is a descrepancy. I would also appreciate more vegan items, there's only about one main and a few sides. I cant come back often if im tired of the one dish i can eat. Overall a wonderful place, fantastic service in a great location."

  • "Spent our 20th anniversary at Sitti and were not let down! Food was awesome. We've been here before and its always great. This time however we only ordered small plates and left happy & full! Keep up the great job!"

  • "Sitti is the number one spot for middle-Eastern food in the Triangle. Their home-made pocket bread is delicious; zater is very good; and thieir hot mezze is an excellent choice."

  • "Dropped some items like the mixed grill off the dinner menu which was disappointing, and no real specials, so limited menu and medium/high pricing, but still very good food."

  • "Since Sitti is from the family of Neomonde, we had high expectations. They were met and exceeded. Great food, great service. We will be back!"
