Dark, discreet, and decadent. Over-the-top decor and under-the-tank mischief. A watering hole befitting dreamy aesthetes, wandering flaneurs, and swaggering dandies. The high-born agreeably mix with lowbrow, the bon vivants nurse the lugubrious and everyone is 'wilkommen'. A guy's guy sort of place with a menu to match -- epicurean, savory favorites with Chef's personal inspirations. A wine list not meant for the faint of heart, a bar that happily provides your martini in lieu of an entree and desserts that extend the pleasure principle.

One seating per night so you can sit and enjoy the evening with no pressures to move or rush. A return to an era when we embraced dressing to impress.

Jackets and collared shirts are required for gentlemen. Jackets are considered as sports coat or blazer.

Flew all the way from NYC to enjoy the new Mr Parker via open table reservation, which we had an email confirmation. We were told when we arrived they no longer accept open table reservations. The manager was beyond RUDE. Acted as if this was our fault. We have dined many times at Mr Parker's and many Mitchell star restaurants around the world and have never been treated so badly. Stay away! They do NOT care about their customers.

Mister Parkers is the coolest room in town. Walls full of sexy art, dark and moody and a playlist you could listen to all night. The service is impeccable and the food is great. Yes a bit pricy, but no more than other fine dining establishments. They require men to wear a jacket, which is a nice elevation. The sort of place to get really dressed up for, which is a nice touch in a usually very casual Palm Springs. We have already made a reservation for next week. We can’t wait to return. Then back to New Zealand.

Food was good. Not great. Cocktails very good. Service was good enough for Palm Springs, probably the star here. Nothing spectacular with any of the food items, just competent . Wine list was poor. No half bottles available, really minimal choices for this price point. Men are required to wear jackets, which is silly for 114 degree weather , although women can wear halter tops. Not really a quality experience like a good European restaurant.

A return to great dining. Mister Parker's brings back dining for adults. Jackets are required bringing the sophistication level up significantly over almost anywhere. It changes the mind set and you see that in the other diners. Everyone is there for great time, great food and a stiff drink. It doesn't miss a beat. The table side Steak Tartare and Baked Alaska is jaw dropping. The service is polished, theatrical and reminiscent of a time gone by but with a modern edge. We loved it and will be regularly. They have no time limit on your table so you don't get rushed. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
