Stoke & Rye by Chef Richard Sandoval is a modern American grill with a menu reflecting both the Colorado landscape and Chef Sandoval’s creative stylings. After dining at every top restaurant in the area, I can confidently say that Stoke and Rye delivers an exceptional experience that puts the pretentious, overpriced establishments to shame. While other restaurants in the area charge premium prices for mediocre food wrapped in unnecessary ceremony, Stoke and Rye focuses on what actually matters: outstanding cuisine, genuine hospitality, and reasonable pricing. The food was impeccable. My filet was cooked to a perfect medium-rare throughout—no easy feat—while the scallops with mushroom risotto were equally impressive. Each scallop was beautifully seared with a tender interior, paired with risotto that achieved that ideal al dente texture too many "fine dining" spots seem to have forgotten. Every element arrived at the perfect temperature with thoughtful presentation that felt natural rather than contrived. What truly sets Stoke and Rye apart is their unpretentious approach to excellence. Unlike the stuffy, overpriced competitors that prioritize theatrics over substance, the service here is warm, knowledgeable, and refreshingly genuine. Our servers were attentive without being intrusive—a rare balance in this market. The setting is simply stunning. Dining outside with views of the Beaver Creek ski area provides an ambience that feels both sophisticated and relaxed—exactly what a great restaurant should offer. You get the complete package without the inflated prices or pretentious attitude that plague so many establishments in this area. I'd choose Stoke and Rye even at comparable prices to its competitors, but the exceptional value makes it an absolute standout. With three more weeks in the area, I'll definitely be returning multiple times. This is how dining should be done.

Oysters were very tiny and didn’t include horseradish or cocktail sauce, only the vinegar stuff. Unacceptable. French onion soup is huge and awesome, make that your main. Bison burger was alright but wouldn’t order again.

Lance is very accommodating and have a happy attitude . It really makes a difference when the service is good . The restaurant ambience is very good . The food is average but they are willing to revise it based on your preference

We had a delightful dinner for four in the lovely dining room. We were delayed from our original reservation time due to a fire and interstate closure and the restaurant was very accommodating and seated us much later than we had planned. We had the fondue appetizer, and it was amazing! Amongst us, we had the mushroom ravioli, hamburger, and scallop risotto and everything was terrific! The cocktails, mocktail and service could not have been better. Strongly recommend!

We had a nice window table. Food was good. Mussels were served without a shell bowl and we had to ask twice for cracked pepper. Andrew was a very attentive server but he needed more staff support. They seemed understaffed for a Father’s Day dinner hour. Scallops Risotto and Mushroom Ravioli were excellent.
