Diner Reviews
  • "This is one of my favorite new restaurants. It is quiet, cozy and everything taste so yummy."

  • "Let me start off by saying the restaurant itself is really cool! I could imagine it being a great spot to grab a drink, however the food was disappointing. We have been for dinner and although we left underwhelmed, we decided to give Silo another chance and went for brunch. Once again the atmosphere and restaurant was great, but the food was just ok. The omlette I had was pretty good, however all the other dishes we ordered, not so much. The cinnamon roll and the French toast were as hard as a rock and lacked any flavor. The eggs Benedict was also just ok and the croque madam was mainly just bread. It's a shame the food dorsnt compare with the ambience of the place."

  • "Enjoyed a great meal at Silo last Wednesday night! The bartender (Anthony?) is very friendly and made us some delicious drinks. Our waitress stopped around just enough and made some excellent dinner reservations. We shared the bone marrow and the deviled egg apps. Both delicious, highly recommend. I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp and grits while my friend enjoyed the chicken. Will definitely go back."

  • "Silo once again hit it out of the park. Hanger steak was excellent, sides were some of the best I've ever had (Mac/cheese & cornbread). Must try the burger next time my daughter said it was great! Silo is one of my favorite places in Nashville."

  • "We were looking on line for a place to eat and we found you. This was my first time to Nashville but my wife has been before."

  • "This is the second time I have been to Silo and I will go back. I had out of town guests that loved every minute of our time and experience there."

  • "We were visiting family in Tennessee and decided to hit this spot. It was great! Steak was delicious and I really enjoyed the mac & chesse."

  • "In Germantown, comfortable in design with a southern inspired menu . Well balanced menu with ample portions using farm to table components. Huge side portions, [ the mac and cheese could feed 4 ] Everything was delicious , with great attentive service."

  • "We had a very nice dinner at Silo. The food was amazing and service was great. The bartender was able to make a fantastic non-alcoholic cocktail for me (I am pregnant so I can't have alcohol but still wanted something fun to drink). We had the ribs and deviled eggs as appetizers, both very good and shrimp and grits as a main course which were delicious!"

  • "Silo is one of our fav Nashville eateries. The menu is well thought out and very creative. The local farm to table philosophy and execution is impressive. Thanks"

  • "The vibe of the place was nice and I appreciate the farm to table concept, however the food was very average. Against stiff completion from the multitude of restaurants popping up in Nashville, Silo falls short."

  • "I came to silo for my first time for brunch and I was super impressed. The atmosphere was great, and our server, Megan, went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. I must warn all if you that the hot chicken has ghost pepper in the sauce -- not for everyone! But I loved it. Thanks to the bartender as well, who made me a fresh lemonade on demand. I will be back!"

  • "Awesome service, amazing food. This was a great anniversary dinner spot for my husband and me. Our only regret was not being able to try every item on the menu. Fantastic spot in Germantown to savor southern food at it's finest."

  • "In a ity where if you are not brand new, you can be overlooked, our experience at Silo was outstanding! Food, service, and atmosphere was excellent. Interesting menu items - something for everyone. Sorry it took so long for me to get here, but worth the wait."

  • "While vacationing in Nashville we were told Silo was a great place to eat. We are so happy we decided to have dinner there. Our waitress was so efficient and helpful. She explained the menu and answered all of our questions. The shrimp and grits were the best we had during our stay in Nashville and the custard with bacon popcorn was such a pleasant surprise. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a fun night out and excellant food."

  • "Silo is an unique and great eating experience. Their food is fresh and tastesful, plus they offer great cocktails"

  • "Urban, modern, chic decor but casual and comfortable. Props to Lauren who gets server of the month award. Perfect attention, not overbearing, and offered wonderful suggestions. They offered a wonderful hamburger at $16. It was delicious and was worth almost $16 (which is to say you should try it, but no hamburger is worth $16). Also try bacon caramel popcorn. Nice cocktail menu to boot! Only downside was pork chop was WAY overcooked. Did not bring it up to wait staff as I am sure we would have eaten the replacement and we were stuffed!"

  • "Loved our farm to table meal. We started with the strawberry gazpacho and it was fantastic. My wife had the hanger steak and it was cook perfectly to her liking (med rare). She loved it. And I got the hot chicken with the hot on the side. It was still too got for me but they have a homemade hot sauce that remains on the table and was the perfect spice level for me. It's a must go!"

  • "I booked Silo for our son's birthday because he wanted to try it. My husband whined about going somewhere new. He got the hanger steak enjoyed the appetizers, sides and desserts and left with a smile on his face."

  • "This was my second visit to SILO. Once again I was very impressed by the wait staff. We had a reservation, we were seated promptly. The food was awesome as usual. I recommend this restaurant to everybody. I will definitely be back!"

  • "We went to Silo with great expectations, but we were disappointed that the food was just average. We had the devilled eggs for appetizer, and only one of the three were wonderful...the rest were average. We had the hanger steak as an entrée, and it was OK, but was no better than others we have had elsewhere. We sat outside and that was fine, but a loud table at the other end made it less enjoyable, and then the wind came up and started blowing things around. As I have said, it was just OK."

  • "The food was great. All four of us enjoyed our meals. The deviled eggs were especially delicious, and the gluten free muffins were fantastic. Great omelets etc… Amanda was our Server. She was very kind and super efficient. It was another great meal. Thank you."

  • "Our first time at Silo. Drinks were refreshing, unique, and generous although somewhat pricey. Pork belly pate was interesting but would not order again. Both of us had the shrimp and grits and were pleased. Cornbread was wonderful, and the greens were very good. Generous serving for two people, could easily serve up to four. Caramel parfait with caramel bacon popcorn was excellent. Great combination of sweet and salty. Service was very good. Overall, wonderful meal. Hope to return soon."

  • "Of the many great restaurants in Nashville Silo Croquet Madame and the Steak and Eggs Skillet My wife and I had were just fantastic. The deviled eggs were extraordinary and Rosemary says the Cinnamon Bun was a treat. There is not one item on the Menu that is not top of the line. All of the food is grown locally and the presentation is beautiful. The personal service from everyone is fantastic. This one I can recommend completly"

  • "We went with another couple for the first time to this restaurant. We both had a great time! The drinks and food were delicious. The only thing I would say us that the Hot Chicken is not just a little spicy. ITS REALLY Burning HOT!!! Would definitely go back though."

  • "I've been to all the all the Germantown restaurants and SILO is still #1, maybe the best restaurant in town. The service is so genuine and the food never disappoints. We split the seasonal local veg entree as an appetizer and my hamburger was probably the best I've ever had. Tasted the habanero peach pork and it was insane! Will be back soon for sure."

  • "Everything about Silo can only be described as outstanding...the warm welcome, the menu selections, the preparation and presentation of the orders, and the attentive service. We look forward to dining there often in the future."

  • "Returned to SILO for brunch recently - amazing Bloody Mary with pickled grapes and a powdered sriracha salt rim - YUM! Our server was outstanding. We started with the delicious deviled eggs. Gluten-free friends loved the GF berry muffins & the rest of us swooned over the cinnamon roll and French toast. My omelet was perfectly prepared & the house-made Sunday sausage is the best sausage I've ever had. Beyond the food and service, the scene at SILO is just so relaxed - friendly people, beautiful background and pleasant music. The patio was packed with festive diners and the indoor dining room and farm table are gorgeous and inviting."

  • "My wife and I entertained for Sunday brunch after church. We all felt the menu had good selections, the food was very well-prepared and served hot and fresh from the kitchen. I mention this obvious fact because with other restaurants, this is not always the case. The best feature was excellent service."

  • "Quaint area and a great "urban" renewal type of place - rustic and yet chic. The small plates and main course were outstanding and fresh. Waiter - Jeff - was amazing. Dessert was okay - not my favorite part. Abbreviated wine selection but good choices that were there. Excellent dinner overall."

  • "FYI Reservations seem soft - we waited about 10-15 min past our reservation time even though we were 15 min early. Great service otherwise though. Atmosphere is loud but good energy. "

  • "Reasonable prices. Large portions. Several very interesting twists on traditional southern dishes. An AMAZINGLY good vegetable entree - seasonal veggies done just right and served with their in-house made infused vinegar - I could have made a meal myself outta' those and I'm definitely a "big plate of meat" guy when I go out. Even the "regular" foods get jazzed really nicely - had a bacon cheeseburger that came with a homemade pickle and a horseradish mayo that put a very tasty kick into it. Anyway - I could go on, but I'd just say if you're looking for southern food with a little twist and a nice selection of craft beers and cocktails you're gonna' love it! Service - if I could give them 6 stars I would."

  • "With the increasing number of good farm to table restaurants, Silo exceeded our expectations in every way. While the food was enough to come back for more, the drinks and service were what really set it apart from other restaurants. Out waitress knew rhe menu inside and out and did a great job recomending drinks and sides to go with our entrees. "

  • "We went on a Tuesday evening, and even though the inside was crowded there weren't many folks on the large patio. The service was outstanding, and the food was over-the-top. Definitely get the mac and cheese, and be sure to use their outstanding hot sauce on it. It is more tangy than hot, and really adds something special to one of the best mac and cheese dishes I've ever had. The collard greens and grits were wonderful, as well. The portions are huge - the sides say they serve 2, but 2 of what?? We got four portions out of each one. Good wine selection, also. This is one of our new favorite restaurants."

  • "Walking in my guest and I were both taken aback by the gorgeous decor and the smells fluctuating through the air. The food met the expectations set by the theme as well as the menu descriptions. The only downside to our experience was that servers aside from our original came to our table to take care of us more often than the man who took our order, though we saw him giving all the care in the world to his other tables. We of course didn't take it personally, but were just a little confused as to why this was. I would still happily go back, and recommend it to anyone wanting above average American food."
