One lady and I both had the hunter chicken...it was fabulous! The other lady had the penne and she was impressed too. And the carpaccio starter we had was excellent as usual. I was looking for something with more atmosphere and a wider palate then what is offered here. I went work my wife while we were in Calgary for the night and we were seated in an area that was right out in the high traffic area although I booked in advance and the restaurant was right next to empty. The booth seating was broken and very tipsy. We were going told it wasn't broken they just pop apart once in a while and we were offered a different area to move to but we were almost done and didn't feel like moving. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was prepared very well. Our service was very attentive to us and made great recommendations. They also rushed our food so that we could be out of resturant in time to make the Fleetwood Mac concert. But we made it known we had theatre tickets at 7:30 and were all seated shortly after 6. Our mains were not served until after 7, and then by us reminding our server. I've had the Halibut, the Hunter Chicken the Salmon and the burger and all have been outstanding. Unfortunately, dinner came quite slowly and we made it out of the restaurant with 10 minutes to spare and two of our party were elderly and could not walk fast.

As I recall there was more selection and more interesting side dishes in Banff as well as an executive chef who created a new tester side dish. I felt kind of like management was a little behind in Calgary compared to Banff. Next trip to saltlik will be to the Banff location. I was expecting more tasty steak than what I got. The service was very good but we had three different waiters over the three hours that we were there. It was easy to carry on conversations even across the large table we were at.
