Best Restaurants in East Austin
melt-in-your-mouth Baby Back Ribs. Excellent service. Perfect for a relaxing combination of great food and easy conversation. And so happy to be able to make a reservation."

My only complaint was that my
plank of salmon was not cooked through (raw except for the edges); I took it to go and when I got it home I ended up having to microwave it until it was cooked. Everything else about this place was really, really lovely, and I intend to go back."

I and one of my friends ordered
the french toast and as always, I loved it although it was a little too sweet for my friend. However, the poached egg on my other friend's meal was not done right. the white was runny and the yolk was almost hard which I find very odd. I am not sure how it is prepared but usually it should be the other way around. I have bragged on this place in the past as the groups I have been with have had great meals. I must say how disappointed I was. Maybe it was a bad day for the chef."

Had a great time with friends and
family ! Will go there again when I'm in Austin . Loved the food and happy with prices."

Sagra was pretty dead for a Friday
night. Now I know why. The waitress clicked her pen open & closed & open & closed & open & closed the entire time she waited on my friend & I. It was so distracting & irritating. She also stood behind me to the side, leaning against the wall & expected me to turn sideways in my chair to give her my order. Was super embarrassing. She acted like she could've cared less about our table. The food we ordered was LACKING in flavor & needed a ton of pepper and salt. Very strange. Austin doesn't have a shortage of really good restaurants--especially in your area. Good luck!"

I was with a group of nine that
met for an early dinner at Sagra. We arrived during happy hour, so some of us opted for pizza (half price during happy hour) and augmented it with some of Sagra's tasty salads. Our server was attentive and pleasant, and it was a pleasure to dine in a restaurant where the noise level wasn't overwhelming. We could actually carry on a conversation without having to shout. I really appreciated that we were seated at a large round table, so everyone could see and hear everyone else I the group. A very enjoyable meal. A special shout-out for the marguerita pizza and the vanilla gelato."

This place looked good and service
was on par with expectations. However, not a single item hit the mark. To top it all the chocolate torte was dry and gas-station treat grade, not to mention they were palming off frozen custard as gelato. Heart…broken"

The food is just very creative and
delicious. Setting very cool and relaxed... the perfect place when you want to relax and they have some terrific drinks. The brunch menu is wonderful and the appetizers and desserts so good. Calamari, their chicken panino, italian quiche, ricotta cheesecake. Lovely tables with cloth napkins and tablecloths, the place is immaculate and the service stellar. love it and will be returning often."

I'll give it another shot but
seemed like everything was lacking a little. Food, service drinks..."

We had a wonderful dinner at Sagra
the other night. The food was fantastic, and the service couldn't have been better. In the past I had only tried their pizza, but I was blown away by the pasta on this visit. We'll definitely be back!"

Overall an ok meal. Nothing blew
us away but it wasn't bad either. We live on the West of town. As such, I don't know that we would make a special trip to eat here again. However, if in the area nothing to make us not stop by again. I had a glass of their Sangria. It was a bit like grape juice. My husband had the white Sangria. It was refreshing but a tad heavy on cucumber. He ordered the Ribs and I the macheroni al Fono. All good but not something we couldn't do at home ourselves. Service was nice. Manager was really helping out. I could see how it could be really loud with more people in the place. Overall a 3.5 stars out of 4 for food but will give 4 for the hard work of the staff."

There were ten of us dining and
drinking on a Saturday night. We were a little obnoxious. The staff was patient, considerate and timely in their service of fresh and tasty food. I like the menu because it was balanced with decadent and savory servings as well as simple and fresh vegetables - something for everyone! Thank you Sagra for hosting a great evening!"

Servers forgot order and seemed
apathetic. Charcuterie plate was good, salads were good but overdressed, lamb osso bucco well executed, but risotto tasted like chef boyardee. mussels had turned bad - they cleared the plate with minor apology. Overall incredibly disappointing."

This was my second visit to Sagra,
and it didn't disappoint. Fabulous food, great bar with unusual, infused spirits and interesting cocktail list. Quiet for a Saturday night which was nice for our group. I would definitely return."

I love the relaxed feel of this
place, sat outside and it was nice and quiet. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The homemade pasta is delicious! The verdura pizza was perfect, thin crust with just enough crisp to it, they also did not skimp on the toppings. They were able to substitute the dairy cheese for a non-dairy option, the cashew cheese was very good! Service was well-timed and friendly."

Stopped in with the wife for a
late night bite to eat. Really great food quality. Service a bit spotty, but it was weirdly slow and I recognize that service gets weird then (rather than better like people assume). We will try next time we're in Austin."

We had limited options finding a
Friday night table for eight, but Sagra was able to accommodate us. We had a couple of pizzas, the osso bucco, arugula salads, and a mac and cheese. The salads are huge and delicious -- a large one fed about three of us. I had the prosciutto and arugula pizza as well. It was fine. Not outstanding, but not horrible either. I'd rather it didn't have sun-dried tomatoes, and I prefer a thinner crust, but certainly that's a personal preference. The service was great and a glass of pinot noir was cheap by today's restaurant standards. If you're looking for a reliable if rather ordinary pizza/Italian place, you won't go wrong here."

Food was okay - not great. Won't
feel the need to return."

They advertised bottomless drinks
(bloody mary's & mimosa) for $10. We had opted for the bottomless offer of bloody marys. After a couple of drinks, we were informed they had ran out of Bloody Mary mix. The waiter stated he would not charge for the bottomless price and suggested a mimosa. Instead of compensation, we were charged the single price for each Bloody Mary and for two bottomless mimosa's. The food was good but there was no asparagus and no fruit compote for the French toast. We realize it was Easter but the charges for the drinks could have been handled better. They could of informed us they were low on the Bloody Mary mix at the time we order the drinks. I have mixed feelings about giving them another try."

Really delicious brunch choices
and the option for bottomless mimosas. Not too crowded and the service was great. I would definitely go back again."

We had a bachelorette dinner here
for 10, the staff was very nice especially when we showed up 15 minutes late. The food was great and quick. The wine prices we're very reasonable as was the food. I highly recommend it. We found parking right out front but it's on the East Side so you may want to give yourself some extra time in case you aren't that lucky."
