  • "For several years we have referred to Ruffino's as our favorite restaurant. We love the Friday lunch and the evening dining. This visit, however, did not meet our normal expectations. Although friendly, our server was not efficient. Our empty plates sat for some time on the table before being removed. This is not the norm for 'Ruffino's'. We will be back and fully expect to receive the service and attention to detail that we have always found at my favorite restaurant."

  • "The Chicken Parmesan was excellent...colleague had Redfish and thought it was excellent. Taste of Ruffinos appetiser is an absolute must for the table. Delightful and won' be anything left. Server was Jamie was super (scopnd time she has waited our table). Great both times...Overall atmosphere is welcoming and don't think there is a bad meal on the menu. Worst part about the restaurant is having to eat a mint in an LSU wrapper. Ha!"

  • "Waiters/busers continually tried to remove salad plates that we were still working on and my friend's pizza order came late to the table and was the wrong order. Enjoyed my food but the staff was a bit overly attentive (I know there's a fine line) and the wrong pizza order was the second in as many visits."

  • "Menu was diverse with ntly spcls; however the pricing was very high in relation to the qty of the food and the overall quality. Most disappointing aspect was the service - very inexperienced wait staff with busboys hovering around the table ready to take a plate well before the diner even hinted at being done. So many staff members that they seemed to get in each others way with a result of those silver plate covers being dropped repeatedly to the floor resulting in many loud clanks. No apologies offered for these crashes. Wine list was nice and the Quartino portion was appreciated and fairly priced. Overall, food was basic. Too large of a portion on the simple dishes like Eggplant Parmesan and too little food w/ the oyster special."

  • "Had the Imperial Filet and it was excellent. Medium Rare came out perfect. The pallet cleanser was excellent but failed to ask what it was. It was busy but the service was excellent...Also, excellent pour on my drink which was makers on the rocks. Only needed one. Will return there for business dinners or for special occasions. This Gamecock enjoyed Ruffino's!"

  • "The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. Having said that, I think they forgot about us after we checked. in. We made a reservation and arrived a few minutes early. Waited in the bar. The restaurant was slammed. Very busy. After waiting throuogh three drinks, I went to host stand and was told they could seat us immediately. The manager came over and apologized after we aere seated, and brought us a complimentary appetizer sampler. I had the pork tchopitoulas with bar-b-que shrimp. Fantastic. Highly recommend."

  • "We have only been been to Ruffino's for brunch in the past and were sadly disappointed in our Valentine's Day dinner. The only option was an overpriced 3 course prix fixe for $65 that included an appetizer, soup or salad, and entree. For our appetizers, we ordered the seafood arancini, which was good as usual, and the crabmeat cheesecake which had a significant amount of crab cartilage and was difficult to eat. We then each had the corn and crab bisque, which was so sweet it could have easily been a dessert. For our entree, we each had the filet, which was under-seasoned and sub-par with oily roasted potatoes. We concluded for the price we could have gone to Ruth's Chris for a much better dinner and will only return for brunch from now on."

  • "We went for our anniversary and the service, food, and the restaurant itself was outstanding! I had the 45 day aged dry rub steak which was delicious! My girlfriend had the chicken alfredo. The sauce was thick and it had just the right spices. It was truly a great meal, a great experience, and a wonderful evening. It is a bit on the pricier side but it's completely worth it."

The second time they forgot to bring our appetizer, but made up for it with a free dessert. The food and atmosphere is wonderful. We would absolutely recommend Ruffino's.   • "I made my reservation using OpenTable. In my reservation, a special request was made for seating at a table near a television so that we could watch the Saints game while having dinner. We arrived early and not only was we seated immediately, we were given a table as per my special request. Service was excellent and the food was incredible."

  • "My steak was one of the best I had in the US - perfect medium grilled with a great flavor. The rosemarin potatoes couldn´t follow the taste of the steak. The caesar salad had too much garlic and was only ok. The veal, the spaghetti and the appetizer with the four different sea-foods bits have been good. The tiramisu was not really a tiramisu - some kind of chocolate flakes and whip cream is normally not a part of tiramisu and the espresso taste was not there too. The dessert was not bad, but it wasn´t a tiramisu."

  • "Specials are always creative, interesting, and delicious. Calamari appetizer is top notch with two dipping sauces: 1 marinara, 1 sweet&spicy. The calamari didn't appear on the brunch appetizer menu, but we requested it, and it came right out. Extraordinary food. Best ribeye I've ever had. It's a birthday tradition for me and the wife."

  • "It was the first time we ate at Ruffino's, but it won't be our last! We started with the "Taste of Ruffino's", four delicious seafood appetizers. My wife had the speckled trout and I had the veal porterhouse. Both dishes were on the "special" menu and they tasted just as special. We split a warm white chocolate brownie (which had the taste of moist chocolate cake) topped with vanilla ice cream. We left, planning our next 60 mile trip back to Baton Rouge, to dine again at Ruffino's!"
