  • "We have been a fan of Roy's since 14 years ago in Maui. All of his restaurants provide great food, excellent atmosphere, and customer-focused service. The local chef's special of TNT Corvina was outstanding. The traditional Szechuan pork ribs never fail to please."

  • "I have been eating at Roy's for years, and I have never been disappointed. This time was no exception. I told them we were celebrating my mom's 93rd birthday. When we opened the menu, there was a happy birthday message inside. How great was that! Then Chef Brian approached our table and thanked us for choosing Roy's to celebrate. This was accompanied by a sample of their delicious sea scallops. That's not all. Then we were given glasses of champagne for a toast. Everyone loved their meals. I had a trio of fish: salmon, pecan encrusted mahi mahi, and buttery fish that melted in my mouth. The meal ended with mom getting a dish of 3 ice cream scoops with happy birthday written on the plate. I had their signature chocolate volcano. Yummy!"

The waiter was just plain intrusive and his suggestions included only the most expensive items of each group he suggested. He was anything but sincere and loud.   • "The experience was outstanding from top to bottom. Our server, Megan, was prompt, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Even provided a fact sheet on a bottle of wine we were considering when a taste was not available. Started with Roy’s Original Blackened Island Ahi, a "must-have" at Roy's, either as an appetizer or entree. When one of us dropped a utensil, an observant staff member provided a replacement before I could even react (10 seconds?). My wife and our friend had the Roasted Mahi Mahi, one of Chef Noah Bailey's creations and it was excellent. I "experimented" with the Tempura California White Sea Bass. All I can say is WOW! Spectacular! We finished with the hot chocolate soufflé, another must. Incredible evening!"

  • "Ate at Roy's for dinner with the family at about 7:30 PM on a weekday. Food was great, ate some of the local menu selections. Only complaint, was the waiter seemingly really did not want to listen. When any of us tried to speak or ask questions he was quick to answer or take action before fully hearing the request. The restaurant was not full, so it was not a matter of other patrons needing something. This left a rushed feeling at the table, when this was quite unnecessary. However, food was excellent. The chef saved the day and made up for the lackluster service."

  • "We were happy to find Roy's in Naples as we have enjoyed this restaurant in Las Vegas, Newport Beach and Maui in the past. Our experience in Naples was as good or better than any of our earlier experiences. I ordered the TNT Swordfish after being assured by our waiter that it wasn't too spicy. It was delicious. My husband enjoyed the short ribs. And if your waiter suggests you order the pineapple upside down cake, do! It was fabulous. We were actually a bit sorry we had only ordered one to share. We will definitely be back!"

  • "We went with the family and took my mother-in-law to celebrate her birthday. Had been there several years ago with not a great experience with service, ambience and food. Decided to give it another chance. So glad we did! They made the birthday very special!! John, our waiter and all who helped him, were excellent! The food was all amazing/ my son said it was the best lobster he has ever had and my daughter's salmon from the kids menu was one of the best as well. And of course the molten lava cakes were delicious. Now one of our favorite restaurants! Can't wait to go back."

  • "We have been to Roy's in Newport Beach, CA and wete very excited to see it opened up in Naples. But unfortunately, nothing in the Naples restaurant was remotely comparable to the one in California. In MY OPINION, The menu was very limited, and the placing of wine menu was very confusing. The waiter was a bit condescending while explaining the menu. He Kind of made me feel he thought he was speaking to a couple of idiots. The service was not that great. We had to serve ourselves the wine since no one was really around to serve it. The ambiance was not that great either. In all the experience was just OK, but not worth the price for a just ok meal."

  • "I've always loved Roy's in the past and thought we'd give it another shot. If it wasn't for the desserts in not sure if come back to this particular location. Atmosphere was dead and didn't get the opportunity to sit outdoors; they had some corporate function book the entire patio! The service really needs to be more genuine and upbeat; our waiters I could swear we're run by teenagers who tried too hard or too little and it was a turn off. The food was average but not bad either except for the trio I ordered which should've been flawless but was not. Not sure Ill be back ... It's a toss for the $ they charge."

Three of us, ordered the Butterfish, which was excellent. Actually my daughter & I have diary issues, so they prepared ours a little differently. Great Food, Service, & Atmosphere! Love eating here!"

  • "Food was good, and served attractively, but the tempura vegetables were mostly broccoli. (One carrot, two asparagus tips and nothing else but broccoli). Also, they had emailed me that on Memorial day weekend, drinks would be $6. When we arrived, we were told that we would have to move to the bar, or pay double for those drinks. Not a good way to treat a repeat customer. There was nothing about the restrictions of table in the email. I checked it when we got home. "

Consistently great food and service brings us back for a special occasion or just a visit with good friends, as was the recent experience. the chef's trio creation of petite filet, grilled shrimp and seared rare tuna was superb and more than ample. My friend had her favorite - the butterfish, which is spectacular. Our server, Ruth, was both professional and efficient. You know what to expect at Roy's because they always deliver. "

  • "What was advertised on Open Table's/Roy menu was not offerred to us. We went expecting the Prix fixed advertised special and received none of it. And the server quoted us industry lingo (i.e. "LTO" which we were abruptly told means "limited time offer) when it was time to place the order. In fact the only time she was pleasant was when she presented the bill. Even the manager came out to try and decipher the problem and did absolutely nothing to enhance our dining experience. Roy's lost an opportunity to wow a local."

  • "The restaurant is carpeted so it has a fusty smell as do all restaurants with carpet. The wine was pleasant and the waitress was helpful with our choice. There were nasty edamame in their shells put on our table. The appetizer was awful, it was duck but hard to tell because it was so covered in nasty chewy stuff. For an entrée I had Mahi Mahi with crab on it, it was not very hot but over cooked, I ate half of it. It was mediocre. My husband ordered steak that was covered in cheese .. It looked like a beef burger. It was cooked as ordered but all that shiny melted cheese was too much. The meal was very expensive."

We sat for over 15 minutes before we were even offered water, and our waitress did not check up on us often and didn't even offer us dessert until we asked for a menu. We have been to Roy's before and we know that this is not the norm, but was disappointing. "
