This year it served as our end of season treat to ourselves. Our server, Daore, helped to make it special. The shrimp bisque was excellent, if a bit paltry in serving size. The snapper and chicken were very enjoyable and the spiced ribs to start were probably the best part. A special thanks to Katie, the hostess, for taking care that we had a wonderfully private table.

The surf and turf sushi roll and kung pao calimari appetizers made for a delicious beginning, and our entrees of butterfish, salmon, and snapper were fresh and perfectly prepared, and we appreciated being given the choice of how we would like our fish, from rare to well done. We were seated promptly and greeted by multiple servers. Out main server, Andrew, and his assistant, Katherine, were always available and very cordial and helpful. The manager, Dave, cleared some dishes and later came by for a brief chat. It was my wife's first time to Roy's, and she was very impressed. Well I'm so happy I finally did, because Roys was absoletly fabulous! I would say it's the best meal I've had so far in Naples. The menu was creative and I found things on it (like the delicious wahoo) that you don't see on many other Naples menus. I couldn't have asked for better service. Our server, Andrew, was friendly, prompt, attentive, and very knowledgeable. they should definitely get rid of the edamame plate for the table opener. It is too messy and our fingers got really sticky. Besides, they're not that good. I'm sure they can do something different if they don't want to do bread or rolls.
Three of us had the macadamia encrusted mahi mahi. It was excellent. One had the U-10 scallops. the scallops were good, but came on a bed of too much mixed greens. The braised pork shank from the prix fixe menu was just okay.

They thoughtfully printed Birthday Wishes to both individual Birthday guest on the menu's as well as in Chocolate on the deserts. Between 8 of us we ordered a selection of the appetizers and main courses and not a morsel was left on anyone's plate.It was all beautiful presented but more important just plain delicious. We took some friends who had never been and they absolutely loved it. The appetizers and drinks at the bar were all $6. The entrees were fantastic. Everything was superb and we even got to try some fish types we had never encountered before, such as the butterfish. Our server was very knowledgeable about fish and made good suggestions for us to consider, such as the blackened ahi tuna appetizer.
