  • "My two friends and I went for our birthday dinners. Menu has just the right amount of selections. Hard to choose as they all looked wonderful. But I opted for my fav. The trio of fish which was salmon, tuna and the best butterfish ever. All three had flavorful sauces and it is served with white rice. The portion isn't huge but turns out to be just right. They serve you edamame with great spices of which had a nice "bite". And for a special treat, they treated each of us with their signature dessert which is a melting chocolate soufflé with a side of vanilla ice cream. A great way to end a meal. The service was top notch."

  • "We arrived about 15 minutes early for oru reseration, and we were seated promptly. We were a party of 4 adults and a four year old. Almost immediately, a bowl of edamame and s plate for the 4 year olf with some raw veggies and a small cheese quesadilla showed up complimentary. What a nice welcome! We were worried the restaurant would frown on having a child there, even a well behaved one, but that certainly wasnt the case. The food was terrific, and our server Kelly couldnt have been nicer (even when one of the ADULTS knocked over a glass of red wine on the white tablecloth, LOL). It was a wonderful evening."

  • "Roys made our anniversary very special.Opened our menus and had a special anniversary message inside.Had a wonderful lobster potsticker for an appetizer.had a shortrib and butterfish surf and turf.it melted in your mouth.My wife had a Tempura crusted sea bass that was also wonderful.Then they treated us to a pineapple upside down cake with coconut ice cream.Just a special anniversary thanks to Roys."

  • "Not an inexpensive undertaking. Although the service arranged the food to come smoothly, there was a feeling of being pushed along. With so many wonderful restaurants in the area, I am not sure I would go back. Tables are close and ambiance seemed missing"

  • "Hard to believe after 14 years we were very disappointed. Family always loved the place, this time to celebrate my daughter's high school graduation. Considering it's "off-season" down here in Naples and the restaurant was only half-full, you would think our server would leap into action upon seeing a table of 6 customers. It took 20 minutes for her to even greet us, then she was very late with wine, appetizers and food. After dessert menus, she never returned, just delivered the 3 lava cakes we ordered in advance. Worst service I've ever had at Roy's, absolutely shocking. For the money we spent (well over $500) maybe we can get a waitress that's not completely disinterested? After all these years, we don't know if we will ever go back."

From our first contact at the front door to the last contact on our way out, my wife and myself felt like we're treated like old friends. The staff couldn't have been more attentive. Not overly but every contact was with a staff member that wanted us to have a great experience. And we did. A great wine list. Great specials. Interesting menu with many different items. All with great service. We will return. Oh and don't forget the dessert. "

It is a great place for small groups and special occasions. The service is always superb. My only complaint would be about people who bring their children to Roy's. It is not a family style restaurant and children inevitably ruin a lovely evening for other diners!"

  • "We dined with you this past Saturday night around 7 PM. We were seated in a smaller dining room off of the main dining room and it was almost as if we weren't in the restaurant. Was the main dining room full? I wasn't informed of the various seating options when I made my reservation for a party of two for Saturday night and we weren't given an option when we arrived for our 7 PM reservation by the hostess. The food was first rate but the evening would have been much more enjoyable if we were seated in the main dining room. We were visiting from Chicago for the weekend so we won't be coming back to Bonita Springs anytime soon. We do enjoy your location here in downtown Chicago. Sincerely, Mike McCahon"

Wonderful cocktails and appetisers...... ....Under cooked, inedible Mahi mahi Rude, indifferent receptionist who desperately needs to learn some manners and improve her customer service skills. After years of dining here at Roy's Bonita Springs as one of our favourite restaurants we will be looking for an alternative with a friendlier welcome! What a complete let down. "

  • "The food here is always consistently perfect. We dined here twice within a week and both times were perfection ! The menu changes quite often which is nice except when you really want that same fantastic entree and it's gone . TheSweet Home Waikoloa Salad is so flavorful and I'm so happy that the manager actually gave a copy of the recipe to try at home :) If the TNT Margate is on the menu ,it's absolutely to die for as well as the Andouille Crusted Grouper. Also tried the Roy's trio,the mahi sauce in this had such a unique flavor. Be sure to start with a 1988 cocktail !"

  • "We've been to Roy's many times. This time, we had a coupon expiring, so we decided to use it. Roy's needs a major update, IMO. The menu hasn't changed in years & I find fewer things of interest each time I go. The coconut encrusted mahi has been on the menu forever & I think I got one of the original pieces :) The fish was one giant, dry slab w/ what seemed like undiluted lobster bisque as a base. Yuck! The noise level was & has always been, horrendous. Many people enjoy a bistro atmosphere, but we could barely carry on a conversation...Sorry to be so critical, but it is what it is!"

  • "We found the food to be very good although priced a little high. We tried the Lobster Potstickers as an Appetizer. Then I had the trio of fish .... Butterfish, Salmon and Mahi Mahi. My husband had the Sea Scallops. It was great to have a Manager come around to check on our experience. The staff are very friendly with the exception of the hostess who we thought should have been more inviting and enthusiastic as the restaurant's important "First Impression". This was our first time eating here but we decided to try it as it came highly recommended."

  • "This is one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in Bonita Springs. However good the food is, this time the service was severely lacking. I can't tell you the server's name, because he never shared it with us. We had to grab the busboy on more than one occasion to refill our wine glasses as the waiter had put the bottle in an ice bucket a few tables away. We also watched while another waiter almost poured our wine into the glasses of the diners at a different table, luckily the diner was paying attention and knew it wasn't the right wine. The food will bring me back (the butterfish & souffle), just have to hope for a better server."

But after several people told us it had improved so we decided to give them another try. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding. Our service left something to be desired. We realize it is in season but the restaurant should have known that. Our server did not seem to have a lot of experience. Besides all that we would definitely go back. The food was so good."
