  • "Salad was fresh, crisp, and plentiful. Wife's pasta dish was rather bland and with a thin tomato broth which didn't cling to the food. My frutti di mare special came with unsauced fettucine (dry, tasteless, so I added parmesan and olive oil in order to swallow it),good small shrimp, large, excellent mussels, half a Florida lobster tail, and a large Maine lobster claw which contained no meat. Honest! There was just a thin piece 1/3 of an inch long from the very tip of the claw plus a tablespoon of unappetizing fat and what not. No meat. I was so happy to leave, I didn't even complain, though I did mention it to the waiter upon exiting. Service was attentive. Plus 2 glasses of wine =$100. Had hoped for a gem, as we live close by."

  • "We ate our last dinner in Bonita Springs at Ristorante Farfalla.We were impressed with the ambience on arrival.Our waiter/sommelier was very friendly and helpful with our food selections. The mushroom appetizer was delicious as was the stracciatelle soup.My veal chop was perfectly cooked and our friends' pasta dishes were both well-prepared and very tasty.We were all very impressed with the care and expertise of the owner-chef. We will be coming back to Farfalla when we return to Bonita Springs in the next 1-2 years."

  • "We came to Farfalla for an early dinner after an Artis, Naples performance. It was the perfect setting for a delicious, unrushed meal with great service. Two of us enjoyed the simple, yet very tasty, preparation of linguine with white clam sauce. The other couples bumped it up a notch with the linguine frutti di mare. So many wonderful selections, so little time. Guess we just must go back to enjoy more of the delights. "

  • "Ok... so I like veal! I know... I can hear you saying... "Do you know..." Yes... I know! Anyway, after having a bad veal chop experience at another restaurant in another city, I swore off veal! Till now! Their veal chop is as good as Peter Shields lamb chops are in Cape May, NJ. They have an excellent veal chop special and their veal piccata was also very good. I will definitely return to Farfalla next time I'm in town."

We were a bit disappointed to find they only offer beer and wine but we did enjoy several bottles of fine wine. The food was very good.   • "This restaurant is too crowded and has an inadequate wait staff. The tables were so close together that everyone could hear any conversation you were having. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, but had too many tables to give us reasonable service. We had to wait for service throughout the dinner. Also, the entree was very slow coming out. The kitchen was extremely busy due to the crowd of patrons being served. The food was okay, but considering the high price, it's not good enough to get us to come back. There are many restaurants in the area that provide better food and service for the same price or less."

  • "Thought this would be a great place to entertain our nephew and his wife, but it was so disappointing! Instead of pacing the food service out...he brought all THREE COURSES together. What a big mistake. No room on the table for all of it and who wants to rush through hot clams and hot soup before the salad wilts????? When it was time for our entrees to be served Richard brought them out placed them in front of us, added the fresh pepper and then we all realized her gave us someone else's order! He ran them back and we waited for ours to be served. Just a bad scene. We made the most of it as we would not want to cause a scene in front of our guests, but we were totally disappointed! Not able to recommend to our friends at Gulf Harbour!"

  • "The host was extremely un accommodating. We had 7 pm reservations and were right on time. He seated other parties including a twosome that all came after us. When we questioned why the twosome that came after us were seated first, he said because that was the table he had assigned to them earlier. It would be too difficult to flip flop tables. He was quite militant. and rude. Food was mediocre at best and no ambience, wine had not been chilled. Service was extremely slow - took over 10 minutes for the server to take a drink order. We will not return. An aside - the host kept saying it is season and we have northerns here now and need to take care of them. Come off season he will need us locals!"

  • "From the moment you walk in you are welcomed. Fun to sit near the kitchen to watch the activity. Seems everything I have tried is exceptional. Waiters are informative and "go with the flow". Negative, I, personally do not like sitting so close to other tables. When they are so interested in my conversation instead of theirs it is too close for me. Can be noisy. We go early which helps with both negatives. It is well worth trying."

  • "We had a reservation for 8:15 and got a table we shared wih two other couples at 9:30. The plus side is that we met 4 nice people but it was a cold 1:15 wait outside. Heaters and a drink would have been nice! Our veal entre was tough and marginal, but the rack of lamb was very good."

  • "Food is good. There is no doubt that there is expertise in creating some tasty dishes. However, ambiance, handling of customers and general waiter service is weak. We felt rushed and our waitress did not explain the special menu to us at all. She did not make us feel as though we were welcomed into the restaurant. That is how we felt and I'm sure that others felt that way. Granted, it was Valentine's Day. I know you don't want to turn away any business. But you may have just with the long waits, the lack of attention to both waiting and sitting customers. The owner needs to work on his wait staff. I don't care if you have been there for 16 years or so. You are just lucky becausee there is no competition in the area."

  • "Must have been a bad night. Brought two other couples for Valentines Day and consensus was it was the worst food they ever experienced in a reputed quality restaurant. Experience started bad and got worse. Initially was served a lobster bisque soup that was brown in color and tasted terrible. Brought it to waiter's attention and he performed a 3rd degree inquiry before taking it away. Had to tell management that table had no bread. Entrees were worse...lobster ravioli tasted like rubber, veal chops on bone tasted "watery and soft" as if they had been frozen, and special veal dish was not attractive and consisted of veal medallions the size of "poker chips". On a positive note, the shrimp entrée and bottles of wine were very pleasant."
