  • "Food was amazing. My wife and I split the ribeye and three sides which was more than plenty! Also enjoyed a nice bottle of wine. Even the bread at the table was great! The price is high, but it is on par with the level of service and type of foods offered. Putting ANY type of steak sauce on the meat would've ruined it, the flavor itself was THAT great! We definitely recommend the sauteed mushrooms and mashed garlic potatoes! We will definitely be coming back for special occasions!"

  • "As usual Rey's provided a wonderful meal, outstanding service and a romantic environment for celebration of my wife's birthday. Rey stopped by our table several times, ensuring our satisfaction, while Scott, Jim and David provided service that was exceptional. We were greeted with hugs upon arrival, as it had been a while since we had been in. Our request for a specific booth was honored and waiting, and Scott, our usual waiter was first to the table. Rey's is our favorite place for special dinners, and the food cannot be beat at any price anywhere. We definitely recommend Rey's for a wonderful experience."

  • "Found Rey's to be a very good place to get a huge meal or one to be shared with spouse...makes is more affordable. Their steaks (NY Strips) are too big for one to eat at 16oz, great to half and it was an excellent cut of meat, prepared perfectly. The family style sides are nice to share as well, too much to get two sides and eat all without sharing. The dessert of Chocolate Truffle was also outstanding, great raspberry sauce...also too rich to eat alone. Glad sharing is allowed. only negative was somewhat lack of attention of waitstaff. no one came by to see how the meal was, was all delivered...a drink was not brought and not real chance to request without flagging wait staff. bus boy came by often before main to keep water full."

  • "25 minute wait with a reservation. The ambiance is a little loud, but tolerable. Most everyone in the restaurant was well dressed. I ordered the special "22 ounce bone-in Ribeye" and got it Oscared(with crab, asparagus and hollandaise sauce) - Fantastic. My wife got the blackened Tuna steak(it was really big). We ordered some asparagus for a side dish. We finished the meal with some French press coffee and bread pudding. There was a fruit flambé with ice cream that Rey was cooking table-side. That looked really good. Bill was $129 with drinks and desert. The food was totally worth the price of admission. I would definitely go back, but if I make a reservation and they don't keep it, they could lose me as a patron."

  • "My wife and I went here for the first time during Triangle Restaurant week on our anniversary. The ambience of the place was absolutely outstanding. It was so quiet that we felt that whispering would be too loud. The food itself was absolutely amazing. We would recommend the turtle soup, the filet mignon, salmon, and of course, the bananas foster dessert. They cook the bananas foster right in front of you, so it's dinner and a show! It also makes the other patrons jealous. I would recommend this to any couple looking for a fancy evening of great food and good times. Plus, you can't go wrong with waiters that wear tuxedos!"

  • "My wife and I went for Restaurant Week. The tables in the dining area weren't on top of each other, giving you the chance to have a conversation at your table without listening to others. We started with the Caesar salad & gumbo. Both were very good. For the entrees, we went with the salmon & filet mignon. The salmon was top notch, the steak could have been cooked a little longer. Desserts were the bread pudding & chocolate raspberry cake. Both capped off our meal in fine fashion. We wine list have many choices throughout all price levels and was of good quality. Our server, Angelo, was knowledgeable with some personality thrown in. We will return and would recommend to anyone looking for a special occasion place to dine."

We went during restaurant week and had the set menu - it was delicious. The theme of the food has a New Orleans flair which we really enjoyed. I still contend that the Creme Brulee prepared and served by Rey's is the worlds finest Creme Brulee! David, our wait staff professional, was exceptional as always.   • "Rey's is 5 star steak restaurant near crossroads in Cary. They do have other things on the menu but we ordered the filet. It looks like a formal dining dinner only yet I saw a few people in polos and jeans. The atmosphere was quiet and private. The service was great. As in as soon as the plate was empty it would be swooped away. Our reservation was for 6:30 on a Tuesday but we were in and out in a little over and hour and didn't feel rushed. We will be coming back for the next special occasion. We have been to Second Empire downtown and spent so much more for so much less. Great Place for Fine Dining."

But, the pleasant ambience is marred by the lack of a dress code: ladies are suitably attired, but rather than wearing suits or jackets and ties, men wear knit shirts and slacks, and younger ones wear sloppy tee shirts, shorts, and sandals, more suitable for a rib joint. This is very annoying because there are so few good restaurants in Cary."

  • "Simply outstanding place to visit. Quiet, romantic. Rey has been there himself every single time I've gone. He goes to every table and checks on every guest. He's even made our Bananas Foster twice since I've been there. A few of the must try's...Appetizer of Pan Seared Scallops. mmmm melt in your mouth good. Their signature dessert is the Bananas Foster made right at your table. Save some room and do yourself a favor and order that, you will not be disappointed. Their entire staff is great and attentive. I've not had one bad experience yet, I will continue t frequent Rey's every chance I get. Especially anniversaries. Thanks Rey, keep up the great work."

  • "I go to Rey's quite a bit. I go with my family for special occasions, I entertain clients, and when my schedule allows I'll take my wife there for a romantic dinner. They can accomodate anybody for any occasion. And as many times as I've been there I have never been let down. This visit was extra special as they had a packed house, but were still able to make my party of 5 feel like we were the only table in the restaurant. Service is great, the wait staff pays special attention to clients if you mention that, and Rey himself always comes by your table to make sure you getting a 5-Star experience. "

  • "We arrive early, and took a seat in the bar. There was a lone guitar-playing singer, no was very good. My wife had a chianti, I had a Becks's N/A. We were seated ten minutes after our reservation time. In the large dining area, tables were well away from each other, leaving space for servers to walk through, without making the customer feel like he/she has to duck or adjust their chair to allow egress. The food was fantastic. We had the Calypso Berry sald, spectacular. She had the grouper, I had Oscar beef tournados, and garlic mashed, big enough for two. Delicious food. Service was seamless and well-timed. We will certainly be back."
