Hau Tree has an amazing lanai that is on the beach and overlooks the strip in waikkki. The lighting within the trees feels organic and authentic. And the food was honestly some of the best of my 8 days on the island. Worth every penny. Will visit again. ♥️

The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful and our server was great! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiling faces and the staff was very welcoming. My only complaint would be that the pasta I ordered was too salty. I ordered the fennel sausage orecchiette pasta. I would probably come again but preferably for a desert or drink only. For the prices that these plates are being charged at I don’t think it’s worth it. I recommend that the food selection and prices be re-evaluated so that the guests are truly getting what they’re paying for.

When I went on a weekday for brunch a few months ago, everything was near perfect. Maybe it was a Sunday, maybe it was the season, but the noise level and flies spoiled our lunch.

ふんいきと料理は最高だがハエが多くて残念。料理を急いで食べないとハエだらけになるのが不快だった。ここが改善されれば文句なしです

This restaurant should be shut down until they can control the fly situation. Absolutely unacceptable. Ruined our entire evening. This is a safety issue and something the health department should look into. Flies swarming and landing in our food. Makes me wonder what is taking place in the kitchen.

Most menus were sold out, entrees were served before we finished the starters and we felt we were dining after opening hours as they were shutting down everything and cleaning up while we were eating. Our waiter had to leave while serving us hence another took over. The setting was very beautiful but we were quite frustrated about the above and felt as if we had to hurry up. We were constantly told that we had 15 min to order either dessert, drinks etc because they were closing. If the latest time for reservation is 845 you need to make sure that you have all the courses on the menu and your guests should feel welcome.

Wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service was attentive and excellent. I had the seared monchong with the burrata & tomatoes to start, finished with a pistachio delight for dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Our server was fantastic and made the experience so much better. We were celebrating our honeymoon we asked to be seated outside for an 8pm reservation we were told they were completely booked and would accommodate us if no shows of cancellations we dined from 8:15 to after 10pm the 2 seater tables (2 of them) were completely untouched and unused the entire time we dined and were were never offered to go back. Our server Andrew was the only reason the review is what it is. Only reason we booked this restaurant was to enjoy the views. Would only go back to see Andrew.
