"We had the prix fixe lunch--a BARGAIN for the price ($21.12). The amuse bouche set the tone for a wonderful meal--extremely fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The three courses we had, though small portions individually, were the perfect amount in total. We left feeling full, but not miserable. Our waiters were friendly, always there when we wanted them, and never when we didn't. Can't wait to go back!"

"I enjoyed my visit to August. Still, I have to say I was a bit disappointed. My favorite course was the salad of beets entree. I had the trout Pontchartrain which I found good but not remarkable. The banana rum cake was ordinary. But the service and care of the staff and the ambiance was outstanding. My dinner companion had a great filet mignon and awesome banana pudding. So maybe my choices were just the wrong ones. So I would still go back."

"My vegetarian fiancée said this was the best meal she has ever had. Period. I agree. The restaurant, from manager Jeff to Zeke to waiter Ben pulled out all the stops to make our first engaged meal special. It was truly wonderful. Looking forward to many more visits."

"My husband and I recently enjoyed their prix fixe lunch, which is a steal at $20. The food quality was on par with (hold the flames) French Laundry, which was the restaurant by which I judged all others until now. This meal was exquisite, from the lovely and whimsical amuse bouche to the stellar desserts of rising star pastry chef Kelly Fields. We were lucky enough to secure a dinner reservation for this evening, and I have high expectations for another lovely meal."
