My friend and I went to Rasika for her birthday dinner. They were nice enough to let me order from the Non-vegetarian tasting menu and swap out the meat dishes with the black cod which was delicious. The tasting menu was a good spread and we were definitely full. The Palak Chaat (spinach) was amazing as so many mentioned in other reviews and def unqiue. I've never had chaat like that before. The dessert spread was also delicious which included the kulfi, gulab jaman, apple jalabi, and a surprise birthday dessert (date/toffee cake-super delicious). Dinner for us lasted 2.5 hours. We took our time asking questions, ordering and eating. The general mgr brought out a Bday dessert/candle as requested - nice touch to the end of our dinner :)

We had the 6 course prix fixe menu with wine pairings. An excellent meal, but we had expected to have our socks knocked off and weren't. Scallop, cod and lamb dishes seemed just ordinary and the wine pairings were interesting, but we thought several were too sweet and misfired. We both agree though that we could eat the fried baby spinach for three meals a day. We'll be back, but it wasn't the life-changing dining experience we'd hoped for after waiting a month for a reservation.

As you know by now after reading other reviews this is a highly popular, fashionable and delicious Indian restaurant. Although the Lamb Roganjosh and Paneer Chili Garlic were a bit uninspiring, the Chicken Tikka Masala and Palak Chaat were culinary exclamation points. $16 for a glass of basic Gewürztraminer is a bit too much and we also noticed that we were quite thirsty for awhile following our dining experience. All that said, the flavor combinations and unique dishes are not to be missed.

Lived up to its hype at a mid-week lunch. Great food. Fine, enthusiastic service. We were seated immediately for a 12:30 reservation and never felt rushed as we lingered a bit. Only complaint: The noise was surprising for a restaurant like this. My companion and I had to speak up and lean closer to be understood.

As a vegetarian, it is challenging to find good food selections at restaurants. Rasika was amazing. We had the vegetarian tasting menu with the wine paring. I would recommend it to anyone. The variety was great and the food was very flavorfull. We loved it.

Clearly there is more effort put in to presentation than the usual indian restaurant, but for how hard it is to get a reservation at a decent or on short notice, I'm fairly underwhelmed with the experience. The food tasted like good indian food. I'm not sure the fact that it was presented nicely was worth the hype and price.
