We are a classic Grill with Italian influence placing emphasis on high quality food, exceptional service, and great value. We are positioned between the heavily populated casual concepts and the fine dining white tablecloth concepts. Our "polished casual" concept provides our guest with great value for the high quality food and exceptional service they receive.

Our menu features a diverse selection of outstanding in-house prepared products. We are well known for our fire-grilled steaks, chops, chicken, and a selection of fresh grilled fish. Entree salads, made from scratch soups, burgers, sandwiches, and pasta round out our selection. We also have a wide selection of wine, cocktails, and beer. Don't forget about the happy hour!   • "Took our 88 year old grandmother here for dinner on a Friday night. Although it was louder than she prob. would have liked, that was overlooked because of the great service from the staff. They accomodated our request to put us as close to the door as possible and were more than attentive throughout the meal. The pasta dishes we had were all delicious, as were the drinks, however, my husband didn't love his steak and sides as he felt they were on the same level as an Applebee's entree. I'm not sure we would go back just for the food, but we did enjoy our first experience here."

  • "We were looking for a restaurant for a pre-theater dinner on a Friday night! What a great choice to dine at Portobello's Grill- Bocage Village. Our waitstaff were very professional. We had 3 children with us who were well taken care of! Our entree's were all served on the table at the same time! A nice touch! All in all, it was a wonderful experience for our group!"

Although the host was a little harried trying to get a table together for an unexpected party of 8, he rallied and remained pleasant with those of us with reservations waiting to be seated. As always, the service was friendly and helpful. We started with the crabcake appetizers which are well seasoned and tasty. Our entrees consisted of veal parmesan and a sensation salad with chicken. The veal was not overly breaded, pleasantly seasoned and not tough. The waitress was very helpful in creating an entrée chicken sensation salad which served our palate. I highly recommend Portobello’s for a very leisurely dinner."

  • "Portabello's has been one of my husband's and my favorite places to eat. Usually the food is very good, as is the service. Last time, there were few people in the restaurant and so the noise level was quite low. However, it took forever to get waited on. When the food came, my pork chops (which usually are very tender and juicy) were so dry they bordered on hard; the potatoes au gratin were runny and tasted just like overwatered instant potatoes; the spinach madeleine had mainly watery sauce and little spinach. The sides were about 2/3 of what they normally are. My husband's fish was dry. Again, this is just not the norm for this restaurant. We will try again in a month to six weeks and see if anything has changed."

I had the ribeye steak with crawfish and bacon sauce. Oh my word! It was one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life! Wonderful experience all the way around!"

  • "The main entree and sides, Twin Filets Merlot, corn fritters, and mashed potatoes, were delicious. I also had a quave breeze cocktail that was tasty. There were 3 reasons the scores weren't fabulous: 1) reservation, 2) service, and 3) appetizer. 1) We made a reservation online but when we got there, they said they didn't have it. Luckily, it was not busy. 2) Honestly, the server seemed high. She was fidgety, not put together, and couldn't speak clearly. Most of the servers seemed young. Age doesn't matter, but it just seemed to them as a job to make some cash, rather than trained servers who were committed to their occupation. When I go to a restaurant I want to feel a professional atmosphere. 3) The chicken flatbread appetizer = Bland."

  • "Both of these were absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked exactly as I asked for it and you could cut it with a butter knife or in my case with no knife at all. The Shrimp/Grits were very good as well - really creamy and rich. Also, the service was terrific. Very attentive and everyone assisted your table. If they saw a plate to clear they would walk by and pick it up, if they saw our drink was almost out, they offered to have our waiter order us a fresh one. Just really good!!"

The bread pudding was very good, but the portions were tiny. The worst part was the coffee we had with dessert - it was old and had burned. Our drinks were great and our server was excellent."

And I'm from New Orleans where everyone is born a food critic. Meatball Sliders Appetizers could be an Entree' in itself. Osso Bucco Pork Shank served over mashed potatoes was extremely tender, & beautifully plated like a 5 Star Restaurant. Shrimp & Crab Alfredo over Linguine was perfection topped with the best crab cake I've had in a long time, lightly crispy on the outside, moist, well seasoned & quality crab meat on the inside. $4.99 Kids' Burger & Shoestring Fries-generous SZ.
