Diner Reviews
  • "One of the most quiet dining options in Durham. Went for a business dinner. Great food and flawless service."

  • "Parizade feels like you are in a high scale, big city location while realizing that you are in a quite humble, office park location. Do not get caught up in the sights, smells, and sharp designs though as the menu boasts tons of variety and has a superb list of cocktails, beer, and wine to pair every dish. While the location and chef may not get as much praise as some of the local heroes they are both among some of the finest up-and-coming eateries in the area. Keeping everything fresh, local, and ever-changing from steak and potatoes to daily seafood specials. There is also an emphasis on approachable dishes that have signature twists on them. It is great to have an easily accessible restaurant that offers this level of sophistication."

  • "Although it is a little difficult to find because it's hidden away, this is a superior restaurant. The food was spectacular in the service impeccable. We will definitely return."

  • "The staff were nice, the service was great, the decor was eclectic, and the food was awesome! Go, oh, and they give a 20% discount if you'll be visiting DPAC that night for a show."

  • "Was at Duke for reunion weekend. Friend told me bout this place. Was a real gem especially in Durham! People tell me Durham has been starting to have good restaurants. When I was in school there 35 years ago very few quality places. This is a 5 star place. Good place for fancy date night or for parents in town to take their kids somewhere special. I will be back in the future."

  • "This is one of the most consistent restaurants in the Triangle: excellent, fresh Mediterranean food, good wines & a superb wait staff."

  • "Don't assume that Parizade is too expensive for an everyday lunch out. This place is too good to be considered just for special occasions only! My friend had the BLT Stromboli (a dish she very much enjoyed at a work function weeks before... and was recommended to her by ANOTHER friend). And I had the Greek Country Salad - delish! Just the right amount of each ingredient in the salad and the perfect amount of dressing. Both dishes were generous portions too. Service was quick (we only had an hour for lunch and did not feel rushed or pressed for time) and professional (our server was pleasant, friendly and professional)."

  • "Excellent place, high quality meal for a good price."

  • "The food was good. However, I really dislike it when I have spent time on the menu and after I have made selection and given my order, I find out they are out of the selection. It would be worth giving it another try."

  • "It was a fun filled evening of entertainment. George put on a great show with Venetian food and entertainment flair. the Belly dancer was wonderful, the acrobatics and fire guy were very good and the magician was great too., Hope they do this again real soon and get a better crowd. I'm sure the money will flow in. a wonderful nite!"

  • "Very impressed with the overall experience. Great staff and wait service."

  • "I went specifically for the Masquerade Dinner and it was my first time there. I requested a table for one with a good view of the entertainment and was not disappointed, I could see everything from the flame thrower outside, to the belly dancer moving around the room and the acro performances throughout the restaurant. I am always a bit wary of buffet style because it tends to lead to overeating but due to the nature of dishes I was pleasantly surprise with the low calories and healthy options that were available and went back and tried some dishes that were new to me. I brought my own mask but they had plenty to chose from when you walked in by the hostess stand, even the staff had masks."

  • "Normally, Parizade is excellent. However, this "Venetian" night was not particularly Venetian in ambiance nor was the food at the buffet either typical Venetian nor very good."

  • "Great meal with friends. We tried three apps - the sausage, oysters, and tuna tartare and all were very tasty and were shareable. Beet (cold) and Goat cheese salad was a hit with a few as was the Romaine hearts salad. Dinners of Salmon, scallops and seafood risotto were enjoyed by all. great meal, we also shared the Tunisian orange cake - yummy. All in all - great place food and service were very good. Expect to pay north of a hundred dollars for two."

  • "Thanks to Old Man Winter, we left for New Orleans a day early and stopped in Durham for the night. An even more enthusiastic thanks to Open Table for directing us to Parizades. What an unexpected and pleasurable ending to a rather hectic day. The staff, menu, and ambience equals those fine restaurants in NOLA, where superb dining is considered a constitutional right! We will definitely be back for another visit."

  • "Met some friends here for a Sunday dinner. It is their favorite restaurant, we had been there once before. Food and presentation was excellent, as was the service. And the banana dessert was spectacular!! Not inexpensive, but certainly worth the price."

  • "My wife and I ate at Parizade which proved to be a wonderful restaurant in Durham, NC. This was our first time at Parizade’s and the experience was fabulous. From the superior quality of the food to the very attentive service to a warm friendly atmosphere, we had a very good experience and one that we will repeat many more times in the future. To top the meal off, we shared a triple layer chocolate cake with warm chocolate praline sauce. It was to die for. I would sum it up by saying that we described Parizade as one of the best restaurants that we have eaten in in this entire Raleigh/Durham area. Try It – You’ll Like It"

  • "I have eaten at Parizade quite a few times, not very good, nor too bad. Last time was bad enough for me to be writing here. The calamari were soft and chewy, not crispy. I asked them to prepare my food with the less salt possible, medium rare. I hear kitchen staff saying they coudn't prepare the potatoes it without salt. The waitress whispered something to his ear. I told her that some salt was normal. Just keep it at the minimul level. They took the potatoes off, without asking first If I wanted to change. The meat was a shoe sole. Overcooked, reheated? My husband wanted to complain. My approach is different. I wont be going back where I am not sure of how the quality of the food will be. I have Nanas that ALWAYS serves good food."

  • "Have been attending Parizade for years. Continues to be a wonderful place to dine. There is a welcome atmosphere from greeting to a good-bye. The service is excellent and the food is outstanding. Igor keeps everything moving and is a perfect host. It's a place where the theatre participants prefer to go. Multiple choice menu to please all tastes. The deserts are fantastic. Not a quiet , peaceful atmosphere but a most acceptable, compfortable environment. On the high recommendation list."

  • "Wanted to try a new restaurant and heard good things about Parizade. Didn't disappoint. Wait staff was attentive yet not overbearing, confident and polite. The food was smartly presented and had variety of taste/texture. It was an enjoyable experience."

  • "Based on our experience, this restaurant was very overrated. There are far better choices in the downtown area. The food was average at best, not at all worth the menu prices when held against comparable tables in the area. I would score the appetizer as a 6 of 10, salad as 7, entree a 4, dessert a 4. The service was great, attentive and friendly. The crowd was an interesting mix, probably 40% over 60, but the energy of the room was still quite lively. Overall, likely a great lunch spot, but "just ok" for dinner. Wouldn't' return with expectations higher than this based on my experience."

  • "We thought the food was spectacular, I had the seafood risotto and my wife had a fish special (white fish) . The service was very good, but I server seemed a little distracted. The Neapolitan was incredible."

  • "Great evening with friends. The space is lovely and eclectic with the open kitchen and vibrant artwork. Our food was delicious-- I tried the Greek spinach pie which was loaded with a light spinach/cheese/onion filling in a perfect shell of flaky phyllo. My dining companion's choice of the seared Scottish salmon was one of the best salmon preparations we've tried anywhere. Don't miss the desserts, which are artfully presented as well as delicious!"

  • "I love this restaurant and was reminded Thursday of why I need to eat here more frequently. The food is always delicious and I never leave hungry. I had a salmon dish with spinach and quinoa and it was really good. I will be back soon!"

  • "Parazade was one of the few restaurants that had reservations available at a reasonable hour on the Saturday after Valentine's Day. It's been at least 10 years since I ate here. I don't know why I stayed away so long. Wonderful Mediterranean cuisine, reasonably priced, great wine list, attentive service. It is a big, open place so the noise level is slightly high, but not obtrusive by any stretch of the imagination. If you have an event at DPAC or the Carolina Theater, this is a great place to go to."

  • "Parizade remains one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always excellent, service is professional and friendly, the ambience is upscale and elegant but still comfortable."

  • "Really enjoyed the experience. The parking is a bit problematic and frustrating but we were eventually allowed to enter through the rear staff entrance. It was noisy but it was a very busy night. The food was outstanding as usual and the service was 1st class. Thank you, Dan Hynes"

  • "I love Parizade. It's always a place that comes up again and again when getting together with friends or for a romantic dinner. It has such a big city feel, the waitstaff is international and professional and the food is dependably very good."

  • "We had not be to Parizade for quite awhile as our last experience was not terrific regarding the food quality. Well, what a pleasant surprise we had, especially bringing guests from DC, as everything was superb. Great to see a rebound and we will be back soon."
