Oceana is now located just off the beautiful river banks of Calgary’s Bow river in Eau Claire. Our new location boasts beautiful views of the Prince’s Island Park and its pathways and is the perfect setting for every dining occasion. At Oceana we are proud to offer Calgary’s largest selection of fresh fish and we serve only the best AAA Spring Creek Alberta Beef. During the summer enjoy the evening sun on our beautiful patio away from traffic and the city hustle.

  • "No handicap parking for my guess. The Lobster Bisque taste was very good, a little light on the Lobster. The Arctic Char dish and the Halibut was unbelievable awesome, it had a great sear on the skin and it was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Blacken Pickerel weekly feature was in fact not blacken but over seasoned with cayenne pepper about teaspoon was scraped off and the skin was not crisp it was soggy and the first bite ruin my guess taste buds for the rest of the meal. The Seafood Bouillabaisse was rated as good and my guess was a little disappointed that it had rice in it he felt it was more of a jambalaya minus the sausage. Return (Maybe)"

  • "Taste of food great! Presentation of food, service, wine list & atmosphere definitely did not measure up! Main course & dessert were piled in the middle of the plate with no eye appeal. Very burnt Crème Brule had two blackberries rolling on the plate. Inexperienced waiter had no concept of service skills. Maître D’ dressed very casual compared to rest of the staff & had no idea what discretion or service means. Reminded us nine times re two hour dining time limit, including standing beside our table speaking & pointing with fingers & loud enough for us to hear. We voiced our complaint at the end of our “two hour” evening. The Maître D’ said “I’m sorry...BUT...We left. Although the food was tasty, we WILL NOT recommend Oceana to anyone!!!"

The chairs and tables by the fireplace looked very relaxing and comfortable as well. Original and good variety of meal choices on the menu. Our server was very helpful, polite and patient. The dishes we decided upon were superb in every way. The flavors and textures were mouth watering. It was very quiet the evening we went there, which we preferred yet I can see how this place would be bustling during the regular work week. We will be returning to this gem for certain!"

  • "Gregory was our server and he was outstanding. I had Nova Scotia seared scallops with garlic mashed potatoes, which I thought was an odd pairing. Everything tasted bland, but the big disappointment was the scallops. They had no sear (looked steamed rather than fried) and were over cooked. What a waste of good seafood. My wife had the lamb which was OK, but neither meal came anywhere near my expectations of a restaurant of this caliber. This was our first visit, and won't bother going back."

We started off sharing a couple of Calamari salads with wine, and then everyone went for a different seafood dish - Orange Roughy, Chilean Sea Bass Filet, Salmon Filet, Shrimp Saganaki, and Grilled Seafood Brochette. The seasoning was just right to add flavor without being too overpowering. Service had just the right amount of attention and interaction. The owner came by later to see how our meal was and when she found out we were celebrating a birthday, she made sure the waiter brought out a fabulous chocolate cake, which made a great night perfect. We will all be back!"

  • "Decided to go to Oceana as a last minute dinner outing. Hadn't really heard about it until we got there and realized it was the old Caille on the Bow. We were greeted at the door by the owner Harry, who ended up spending a good portion of his night catering to our table. All the staff, including Harry, were extremely attentive, friendly, welcoming, informative, and all around great. I was really, really impressed. Food was excellent, value was very good. Very comfortable ambiance. Quiet and well spaced from other tables. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, kids or not. A lot of restaurants in Calgary could take a page from their book on service and attention to detail. Thanks for a great night Oceana. See you all again soon."

  • "We Made a last minute reservation on a visit to Calgary for New Years eve. We were immediately impressed with the hostess who was very accommodating while trying to seat multiple arrivals at the same time bussing tables and setting them. The food was fantastic & the service was very good. The prices were at the higher end but the food was excellent. I had the rack of lamb and vegetables (I low carb) & my husband had the parmesan crusted fish,(he's a Newfie) which he said was delicious as well. We shared the shrimp & scallop appetizer as well & it was wonderful. This spot if not already popular will be I am sure. Very good experience!"

  • "This is one of our favorite Calgary restaurants! Surprisingly not more people know about it. The location is perfect with views of the park, great parking, two fireplaces. The food is always incredible - so fresh and prepared exactly to order even with special requests. The service is top notch - the owner stops by to make sure everything is perfect. This is a great date night or a night out with friends!! Can't wait to go back. We had the halibut and orange roughy, scallops and shrimp cocktail - all perfect."

  • "We went to celebrate a couple birthdays and I have mixed feelings. The service was very good and very attentive. The food however was just good for the price. My brother had the seared scallops and they didn't have a sear on them at all and were a bit over cooked. My wife had the Alaskan Crab, the legs were very small for an king crab, but I will say the restaurant recognized this immediately and made more for her without us even pointing it out. Overall, like I said the food was pretty good but nothing to write home about...."
