NOLA RestaurantSibling tripBest meal of our trip to New Orleans ! Our wait staff had great personalities and the service was impeccable !5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMBest RestaurantNever make a trip to New Orleans without stopping at NOLA's!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious but noisyEverything we ordered was unique and delicious. The wait staff was extremely helpful, friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a quiet, romantic scene, this isn't it. It's noisy. But who goes to New Orleans for peace and quiet?5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMA must do!Loved the atmosphere! Food was awesome! Loved Loved the Creme' Brûlée'!5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAWESOME ! We were on vacationAWESOME ! We were on vacation in New Orleans and went to NOLA. The bartender recommened a fabulous bottle of wine, our waiter Len was so pleasant and made great dinner suggestions. The entire staff was friendly. We enjoyed the whole experience fabulous!5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFun night @ NOLAHad a wonderful time at NOLA. Their staff was warm and inviting and the food and wine selection was great.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBest restaurant in New OrleansNOLA was not only the delicious food you'd expect from Emeril, but also the best service imaginable. The wait staff was very friendly, helpful and delivered before you had to ask for anything. NOLA was the best and most pleasurable dining experience we had during our stay in New Orleans.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappointsNola is one of my favorite no-nonsense restaurants in New Orleans. It is fairly casual, but the food is outstanding and so is the service. I love the barbecue shrimp appetizer - I could drink the sauce with a straw!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMmothers day brunchMothers day brunch this past Sunday was a real treat at Emeril's NOLA!
I think its my favorite of his New Orleans stores.
The food was exceellent, service very attentive and atmosphere is pleasant.
The lemon poppy seed ice cream is to die for!!! $5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat evening at NOLA'sThis was our first visit to NOLA's. It certainly lived up to its reputation. There were four of us and we all had something different. Of course, we sampled each dinner. They were all fantiastic. Service was great. All in all it was the best meal I had while visiting New Orleans (and we had some very good meals). My dinner was the buttermilk fried chicken. The best I have had in many years. The other meals were great too, pork pie, pork chop and duck.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBest food I ever ate.The food was fabulous. Enjoyed it much more than any other restaurant we visited while in NOLA. I would highly recomment the pork chop as it was the best I've ever had. Creme brulee was to die for. Service was excellent, staff was extremely attentive. This by far was the best part of our visit.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day weekendStill busy at 8 so don't worry about that. Great service and food sat on the third floor and could see some of Jackson square will be back to eat5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesomeNOLA never disappoints with food, service, and atmosphere.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dining experienceThe service was outstanding along with the food. The dining area upstairs per elevator is very cozy and unique. Best dining we had while in New Orleans.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food does not disapointexcellent as always this was our 3rd visit from Baltimore to Nola.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMVery niceThe servers there were very gracious and professional. Food was hot and you could tell it just came off of the stove. I had the garlic-crusted drum. There wasn't a ton of garlic flavor on my fish, but it was still very good and I loved it even though I am not a huge fan of fried fish. Their signature NOLA cosmopolitan is very sweet and refreshing! For dessert I had the creme brulee, and it comes in three different flavors inside separate cups: vanilla, coconut, and chocolate. Vanilla was the best and you can see all the vanilla seeds at the bottom of the cup, but all them were so delicious, rich and smooth. The restaurant atmosphere is very classy but down to earth at the same time.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat DinnerThe food was excellent, the service was great. Would recommend this anyone wanting a more casual atmosphere in an upscale restaurant.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience!I ate at 2 Emeril restaurants while in New Orleans. Both were great, but overall I'd say NOLA was just a bit better. Great food and service. The pork chop was incredible and who could turn down trying popcorn ice cream!?5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and service. IGreat food and service. I will go back the next time I am in New Orleans:)5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMDeliciousReally enjoyed this restaurant. i ordered the drum (fish) and beet salad.... Both were excellent!!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMOur aneversary lunchWe went to NOLA for a special occasion and enjoyed the experience completely. Service was exceptional like every other time we have been at Emeril's. It is kind of odd that high end places like this are not as spendy as the bar food on Bourbon Street. Great people, food and service . The wait staff go the extra mile for sure.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMEmeril's still got itI went with a mixed group of foodies/non-foodies and many did not know much about the New Orleans food scene. One was wine expert. Everything pretty much rocked! The wines were terrific--a Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, the squash blossom appetizer stuffed with cream cheese and crabmeat was delightful, and everyone enjoyed their dinner. I had the shrimp and grits and loved every bite! The cappucino for dessert was well made. No one could figure out how to eat the peanut butter and jelly dessert that we tried to share. It needed to be dunked in the glass of milk. We couldn't figure out whether to pour the milk on it to soften it or...what! Great service and wonderful ambience. The place is full of people who are proud to be part of it.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food if unsurprisingI asked everyone I met with in Louisiana & Mississippi what one restaurant I had to go to when I was in New Orleans for part of one day. Of course, I got a list of 8 or so restaurants. I chose NOLA because I did want to experience one of Emeril's restaurants (also because a couple of the others weren't open for lunch on a Saturday). I think I had higher expectations going into NOLA. Don't get me wrong, what I got was great - a very tasty pork cheek poboy - I was just expecting more New Orleans/Louisiana-specific menu items. I mean, really, I can get a Cobb salad anywhere. It would have been nice to have had the option of other sides as well. Again, fries are pretty standard, even those these were very, very good. Chef's bar was fun!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ExperienceThe restaurant is run in a professional manner with very good service and great food. The help were friendly and knowledgeable. The only possible criticism is that it is an open space in a rehabbed building so it is loud. Other than that, it is a great experience.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMBAM !!Thanks Emeril and staff. A perfect blend of that famous New Orleans ambience, sensationally savory Loisiana fare and sincere Southern Hospitality. From the moment we entered NOLA from a very rainy St. Louis Street, the staff made us feel more than just guest. The service was timely, the food was OMG perfect, and it was a memorable occaison for my wife, adult daughter and me. Fabulous recommendations from our servers too. The Best!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat time, food and service! With eight people all having a great time with wonderful food in the best city in the world who could go wrong! Enjoyed everything, staff was lovely! Really great wine list!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulousTwo of us had the drum fish. Maybe one of the best fish preparations I've ever had. Mahi and fried chicken outstanding as well. Service impeccable.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMExpectations ExceededI had read some fantastic reviews so my expectation level was very high. This restaurant delivered. Service was spot on hitting just the right note between being too casual and too formal. The food was to die for. We had the soft shell crab appetizer special. Delicious. I had the garlic drum. It was the best fish dish I have ever had. So good. My son had the salmon
and my husband had the tuna. They both enjoyed their meals. We shared banana layer cake and creme brûlée . Again delicious. So glad we came.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect. Don't miss the ShrimpPerfect. Don't miss the Shrimp and Grits- best in town. My new favorite in town.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMI liked everything about NOLA.I liked everything about NOLA. I had the soft shell crab special at the suggestion of the waiter. The waiter was with Emeril from the early days, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. I would eagerly go back and recommend the value to a friend.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and great service.Best food I ate while visiting New Orleans -- ordered the shrimp and grits, absolutely delicious. Servers were highly attentive and anticipated our needs -- each table is assigned 3 waiters, a little overkill but there was never a time that I needed something and had to search to find a waiter. The restaurant was a little loud because it was packed, but did not take away from the great time I had. Would recommend making a reservation before going.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently Great in the French Q.Always enjoy this place. The menu changes frequently and it makes it hard to narrow the many great choices. Reservations are a must (thanks Open Table) and they keep everything on time. I will always make this a stip when I am in NOLA.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMTry the dessertThe bread pudding souffle is unique and wonderful!4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMYummy!Best crab cake I've ever had...delicious! I definitely will return to try more dishes. The service was outstanding!4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Southern FoodNola was an excellent dining experience. Several waiters serviced our table and the service was excellent. I wanted to go to a fried chicken restaurant that everyone said was the best. I never had the chance to go there so I decided to have the fried chicken at Nola. Pricey for fried chicken but definitely worth it. The chicken was crisp and juicy but not greasy. The candied mashed sweet potatoes were delicious. My boyfriend had the duck and it was incredibly good.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary DinnerWe celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to New Orleans and ate one of two dinners at NOLA's. We sat inside on the second floor at a table for two in the middle I would say. The service was outstanding and so was the food. I would highly recommend to anyone! Please do not take the number of check marks on question #2 as I marked everything that could apply. :)
We were very happy with our entire experience at NOLA's!!!4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMBam!Absolutely outstanding. Flavor bursts out of every dish.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMYUM!We've been here before and will definitely be back...THEE best fried chicken anywhere! I hope I can find the recipe on Emeril's website as I do not live in New Orleans I will be wanting it more than once a year!4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGo Grits!I was hoping for some type of oyster or crayfish special offering, the crab cake was not memorable and I couldn't identify the anchovy in the ceasar salad vinegarette. However, the corn relish that accompanied the crab cake was full of flavor and the Shrimp and Grits was sweet, salty and rich - unlike any grits I've ever tasted - a delightful surprise!4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food and excellent serviceGood food and excellent service in a very cool space. Loved it when we had lunch there. Will be back for sure.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways wonderfulA New Orleans classic that never misses where it counts: the food. A sufficiently broad menu yet not excessive on choice. Fowl, beef, pork, seafood and vegetarian are all here. Service staff are well trained, ARTICULATE, know the menu well, and appropriately attentive without being annoying gnats. The wine list is robust though noticeably high-priced. I could do without paying $90 for a bottle of 2010 Goldeneye Pinot Noir. C'mon. And, it's LOUD!
My clients were first timers and loved it. "This is the best duck I've ever had." was the comment of one client. The other client had the drum, which she had never eaten before and thoroughly enjoyed it. Shrimp and grits for me - I'm a Southern Boy. It was heaven on Earth.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMFour of us ate at NOLA onFour of us ate at NOLA on the first night of Jazzfest. NOLA makes no pretensions. It is a very good -- not great -- casual restaurant in the French Quarter. The trio of creme brulee dessert is amazing. The large pork chop is one of the best entrees. Stuffed chicken wings are always fun. The only complaint is that, on a Friday night, the sommelier was not on premises; so, with a huge wine list, we tried unsuccessfully to get information and recommendations from the friendly but completely uninformed and unknowledgeable waitstaff. The first bottle of wine was very poor -- a completely avoidable result if someone on staff knew anything about their wines.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMNOLA'S Rocked our WorldA marvelous restaurant. The food and service were fantastic. We especially enjoyed the bourbon sweet potatoes and the ooey-gooey cake.
I had the wood fired Drum and the garlic breading was melt in your mouth good.
I would highly recommend making an effort to stop in it is awesome.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWow. This was a treat. WaitWow. This was a treat. Wait staff couldn't have been more attentive. Our waiter didn't give us any information about the menus as I noticed other waiters doing. Food was wonderful. Would recommend4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst night in New OrleansFirst night in New Orleans and the dinner and the atmospher were great. We ate on the third floor and went up in an classic elevator. The staff was very attentive helpful and the food was excellent and cheerful.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was great. I hadThe food was great. I had the duck confit and fried egg pizza appetizer that was to die for. My husbands ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. The wait staff led by our waiter, Travis was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is a converted warehouse that is at least two levels. Was bright and open but that is the reason for my only complaint. It was a busy night and with all the conversations at all the table is was noisy. It was hard to carry on a conversation. Still I would eat there again on another trip to New Orleans.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had dinner at NOLAs atWe had dinner at NOLAs at 6pm on a Tues night, and it was not yet at full capacity. The service was exemplary! The food was also great. We had our austistic boy with us and the servers went out of their way to accommodate his special diet! Yeah Travis!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved the open kitchen concept.Loved the open kitchen concept. The restaurant is crowded and lively. Our server was professional and attentive, but didn't seem very well versed in wine. They do have a sommelier if you need an expert. The food was delicious. I had the shrimp and grits and my boyfriend had the buttermilk chicken. Both were delicious.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing. Every detail wasAmazing. Every detail was taken into consideration. Food was incredible.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food, terrific service.Great Food, terrific service. Kind of loud and difficult to talk across the table! Maybe thee was quieter area we could have tried in the restaurant, but it was totally booked and there weren't any other table to request.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
